Affordable for groups of 4”
We're 4 adults with a toddler. Though the room was very small like there was no leg room and our 4 luggages were hard to position; it was good for the price paid. Good thing also that the toilet was separated from the shower room, saves us time in waiting. The staff were friendly and helped us in getting taxi for train transfer.

Excellent”
Very good location and friendly staff with a cute bunny at the front desk. However, the hotel is old and room smells of smoke.

Ok for money ”
The room was too small for 2 people but the price was cheap so I agreed. The toilet is very small and not that comfortable. Staff was helpful. It took you 7-10 minutes to walk from Shinsaibashi (exit7,8) station. Many restaurants around the hotel. Ok for short stay.

Value for money but a little out of the way”
not really a good location if you are using JR pass as you need to go to osaka main station for transfer. Room wise is indeed very budget, unable to adjust temperature for the aircon, toilet bowl is the worst i’ve encountered in my life as your inner thigh will be wet after peeing, try it for yourself. other than that, shops and food are everywhere around.

Room is ugly, old and dirty. Only good is it’s location. Very near to shopping. It would be better if management of this hotel will change the old furnitures and bed. There are stains in the toilet amenities. It needs renovation so customers like us will come back.

Need to upgrade. ”
The closet still the conventional one without auto flush system. Travel quite many times in Japan, first time see such an old closet in hotel.

Noisy in midnight, because near highway. Some mysterious sound can hear from corridor too.

The location is absolutely excellent, and staffs are helpful as well. However, the hotel is quite old.

No Value here”
Old hotel, smelled like cigs everywhere. rooms are very small too (well this is expected in Japan) but the facilities are really old. Its not even close to the local rails nor is close to dotonbori. I think its still a 10 min walk to any train or to doton. You can find a better deal elsewhere. Bad value for money. Will not be staying again.

Pleasant Stay in Shinsaibashi Lions Rock”
We are a group of three visitors from Hong Kong travelling to Osaka in Mid May,2014, for nine nights. It's really hard to find out a specialised 3-people room in Osaka during this high season. Then, luckily we found Lions Rock through agoda. The first thing is that they offer a really nice late check-in service. Our flight arrived at Kansai Int'l Airport at 1a.m. then we arrived at the hotel at 2:30a.m. but the receptionists kindly welcomed us and quickly finished the check-in service. Though they do not have really high proficiency in English but their attitude was kind, sincere and they were very responsive and willing to help with anything for the check-in. I would also say the location was very accessible and convenient. It was located near Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, proximal to two subway stations (Yotsubashi Station and Shinsaibashi Station). It's also just a ten to fifteen minute walk to Namba Station, which can connect you to other cities in Kansai and the KIX airport. The nine-night stay was entirely pleasant with the efficient cleanup and very nice staff who would greet you whenever you bumped into them in corridors or inside the elevator. Some of you may fear that it's located in the precinct with strayers but I would say they will not cause any disturbance to you and the police station is also just a few streets from the hotel. It's entirely safe.

Great location, great value”
It's was a great stay in hotel shinsaibashi lion rock. While it's near to Youbashi metro, (its a long walk in namba station to Youbashi. Line). it's easier to walk from shinsaibashi metro station instead. Just from there, walk to Nike shop, cross the road and your are in America mura. Walk straight and you will find the hotel, close to Arrow or Dormy express hotel.

Center of shinsaibashi ”
Lions rock is in the middle of the what i feel is the artist district of shinsaibashi. It is equidistant to the subway namba and shinsaibashi stations (abt 7 mins either way walking). The room is small but cozy. The rabbit (hiroshi) in the lobby is cute! 2 Family mart are nearby. Has maybe 3-4 japanese channels on tv. Water pressure is strong. Near a mini park. Lots of stores nearby like 2nd hand clothing, adidas, shoe stores, etc. lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The takeout fried chicken place is a must try!

Excellent location in very trendy neighbourhood”
Hotel was right in the very trendy neighbourhood of Shinsaibashi where there was plenty of places to eat and shopping all around you. The famous Dotonbori area with its bright giant neon lights along the riverside is only 10-15mins away. Hotel itself was clean with its room's very spacious and well worth the money paid for the room. Free Internet is supplied on two computers in the lobby area. Some of the staff don't have the best english but are always willing to try and help no matter what. Another quirky thing about the hotel is that they have a pet rabbit which lives in the lobby. The hotel is a little further away from Shinsaibashi subway station then the Yotsubashi Subway line which I wished we had known as the maps around Shinsaibashi Subway station area were very confusing being that each map was displaying different directions to the area we needed. Ended up taking a small taxi to the hotel; don't think we would have found it otherwise actually so this is against it in the larger scale of things.

Great location for young travelers”
lions rock is a great location. the price is good too. rooms are big by japanese standards. i`d recomend this hotel to young travellers couples or people looking to experience real osaka nightlife and shopping. maybe not a real family style hotel. its a perfect location if your going bar hopping or clubbing. some of the halways need new carpet as its a bit grotty , but the rooms are good. its an older hotel and in its day was probably prretty good but now its mid range and good for a weekend. i recomend the lions rock.

Shinsaibashi Lions Rock”
The Lions Rock Hotel is a couple of blocks from a great part of town. You have to go down a couple of side streets to access it. Even our cab driver had difficulty finding it at first. The room we had was pretty small. It's not a luxurious hotel, but it's not a dump. You're pretty much getting what you pay for. There is no room service unless you request it. No phones in the room. And no internet in the rooms. If you want to use the internet you can down in the lobby. It's a decent place to stay if you don't plan on being in it too long, which was our situation. We literally just needed a place to sleep. We probably wouldn't like it too much if we had to stay there for a long time.
