I like the "Hotel Sidey" because location is very good. It is near from Yangon International Airport, just 15 minutes. Room charge is not expensive and fair for money. HoteI staffs are very familiar and friendly. I also love room decartion by teak wood tile.

I was stay at this hotel 2nd time. I like this hotel for nearby Airport and quiet location. This hotel provide good facilities and room is decorated by valued Teak. I think that the room charges is value for money. Staffs are hospitality and friendly.

My worst yet still memorable stay..”
Some highlights of my worst experience with this hotel 1. Location details - booking shows its in Inya Lake which is wrong as the address is little far from the lake. This results to confusion and took me 2 hours before reaching the hotel as its new and the hotel is not yet known to taxi drivers. 2. Room condition - the room provided to me is beside the on-going construction and its too noisy. However, the room is clean, new, nice and relaxing aside from the lightning, which is too dark and inconvenient when reading 3. Malfunctioning Elevator - I reached the hotel past mid night and both elevators are not functioning due to some maintenance or they are saving electricity. They asked me to take the stairs, which I found it dangerous as the steps are small and there are no braces to protect you from falling 4. Malfunctioning Elevator, again - Next morning, I took the elevator and got lock-up for few minutes. The elevator keeps on resetting and it was scary inside as no control is functioning. After few minutes the door opened and was able to get out. I took the unsafe stairs again 5. Eating my breakfast - Due to I was lock-up inside the elevator, I arrived few minutes late to the restaurant as they close breakfast at 9:30am. I wasnt given a chance to grab some meal even though the food is still there and available 6. Cancel the rest of my booking - I went to front desk right away after all these incidents and decided to cancel the rest of my booking. In spite of bad experience, I'm still delightful with the staff concern, friendliness, attentiveness and help. Im not saying that I will no longer stay on this hotel but hopefully the service would be better on my next visit. Yangon is nothing new to me. I been to the worst and best hotel in town but this experience definitely put the hotel at the bottom of my list. I challenge the management to improve the service and its commitment to deliver nothing but the best to its customers. Good luck and cheers to all the staff

Clean & comfortable- close to the airport”
We stayed two nights at the hotel Sidney. We needed to be close to the airport for an early flight. Hotel is only 10 minutes away with no traffic. Not much around the hotel but as a stop-over it's good for a few nights. A short taxi ride to other eateries nearby. The hotel room was a good size, clean and spacious.

I was pleased room decoration which is decorated by precious Teak. Hotel is far away downtown area but near the Airport. Night view was very nice at Bar on the rooftop. Staffs are very familiar. Conclusion this hotel is nice!

3 stars stay at 4 stars prices”
Was there for an exhibition and proximity to the exhibition hall and airport is a plus in the more and more congested traffic of Yangon. At least it was not so stressful getting to the airport. This also translate that to go to the city for a meal takes more than an hour. Hotel has technological features like touch cards for lift security and entrance to the rooms. Power cuts happened about 3-4 times, but happily the back up worked like a charm. Reception staff and general staff are friendly and trying their best to please the guests. However, it is the breakfast that steals the show, not the 4 or 5 stars version, but very edible and probably will improve along the way. Only gripe is what's on the title....well, a demand and supply issue. Oh, finally, it would be a great help if they light up their signboard on the main road, it was not easy to find and the sign being on the wrong side of the road doesn't help either.

Purely Great for Show”
me and my team is here for the FHM show in Myanmar, and it is exactly the type of hotel we are looking for. Location close to the FCC Hall, the Food and breakfast served at the hotel is good, well we are from Thailand, and we can say the food is good. Also, the hotel is new with wifi (wifi is something really hard to find in this counry), but they have it here, so we are very much appreciated staying here.

Disappointed”
Room and then rooms had no hot water. FIrst floor is riddled all night with calls to the housekeeping/laundry ringing through the halls. Internet had little to no connectivity and even when connected did not perform well. Out too far from the city and took 20 minutes to really get anywhere. Hotel is set back too far off the road and closet thing to walk to was one half mile away. I was moved from the third floor to the first floor and then to another room. The staff did feel for me since I couldn't get a refund and moved me upstairs to a bigger more expensive room. All in all the stay worked out for me but several issues. ANother was the first room had no safe? The second room had a safe but it wasn't secured down and could easily be walked off with. I could hear and they also informed us of work on the 4th and fifth floor so from the newness I could surmise that the hotel wasn't finished and they were trying to get revenue with what they thought was completed. The only problem was that there was obviously no check off that everything was completed and ready for real paying customers. Oh and did I mention the power was constantly tripping the breakers and the hotel was block on and off for the first few days. Would I return...Never! I already paid ahead and they weren't refunding anything so I was stuck and lived through it.

Overrated ”
I visit Yangon every month, because my favourite hotel is mostly booked so I booked hotel sidney for 6 days, but I shortened my trip to 3 days without refunds. I would not stay this hotel anymore.

Great choice for this country”
Over all my stay at this hotel is pretty good for this country. The hotel is new, and the staff service is pretty good. Wifi signal wasn't the best, but at least they have it. Also, the room are nicely design. Totally, worth the price.

Exceptional”
Staff was attentive, Polite, help with all request. The rooms was made by teak wood and bed are clean and conformable and the light is perfect. Buffet breakfast is delicious. Great location near with airport. wifi is great.

New Hotel and worth the cash”
We are here for the FHM 2014 show, and must say it's the perfect location because it is only 7 minute away from the FCC Hall. The food in the hotel is pretty good, but however, the location is about 15km from the city center, so if you are here for the city life, you better find elsewhere. Other than that, this is the perfect place.

it is quite out ”
The hotel is nicely build with wooden decoration like what other traveler described. My room was nice but my biz partner room have something running on the ceiling the whole night. We suspect it is rats. It is quite out from the main road too.

New hotel in quiet neighborhood”
I just needed one night at this Hotel to meet some friends. It is a bit hard to find and not really near anything else, but the room was nice and clean and decorated fine. No complaints, except there is no rooftop cafe as I think the listing mentioned. The food was ok in the restaurant and breakfast was fine.
