Hotel Sigiriya”
This hotel was fabulous. A great view of the Sigiriya rock from the pool which was very lovely. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay a very memorable and comfortable stay. The food in the buffet was lovely and the wait staff and housekeeping gentleman were very friendly and made our stay. fantastic hotel and would definitely recommend.

-This hotel is absolutely stunning. The view, the service, the spa, the pool, the FOOD. I cannot say one negative thing about it. Everyone is so friendly, hospitable, and attentive. -A special shout out to Chami in the restaurant and Namal housekeeping. -Chami knew us by name and even came to our room to say goodbye to us. He was always very kind to us and friendly! -Namal cleaned our room thoroughly and decorated our bed with the cutest towel elephant and flowers!

Perfect location. You can relax by the pool with a stunning view of Sigiriya Rock . It is not luxury but the hotel is very comfortable and relaxing , food was excellent, staff were lovely and I would come back here for sure.

Lovely Location and Wonderful Staff”
The location is perfect for bike rides around Sigiriya and hiking Sigiriya Rock and doing a safari in one of the nearby parks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The only thing I would change is using less plastic, i.e. plastic water bottles in the room and plastic gloves mandated to be worn at buffet.

Good hotel with stunning view”
Comfortable hotel. Good breakfast and great dinner buffet. Friendly, helpful staff. Little bit out of ‘town’...about one km. But quiet, peaceful location with a fine view of the rock and an easy walk or cheap tuk tuk ride to town.

Decent hotel”
Good hotel. Amazing location. The rooms are a little old and a creek here and there but otherwise they were clean. Property in itself is really nice, right in between nature. Very close to the rock, remarkable location. Drawback: Food, food, food. They say it's authentic Sri Lankan, but it wasn't I had much much much better food at other places. The food is ok not great. Probably have the free breakfast and prefer eating lunch or dinner outside. Overall it was ok for one night and wouldn't mind again. But would not prefer the hotel for a longer stay. Definitely not for food. Staff is good.

The location is great, but the hotel and facilities and bedroom amenities are basic, almost European rather than Asian. The food menu is equally banal. But people invariably make a place, and this hotel's great strength is its staff. Broken and leaking shower cord? Replaced in quick time. Room service food needed as late as possible given the kitchen's early daily closing time of 10pm? The restaurant manager delivered with a smile. Plus the poolside bar staff were excellent - it was easy to spend every evening outdoors with GnTs ...

View of Sigiriya Rock”
Pros: Great view of Sigiriya Rock and breakfast spread. Staff was helpful and prompt. Cons: room was much smaller and dirtier than we expected. There were lizard and bugs in the room. towels and toiletries were not available in the bathroom but staff promptly gave it to us after we asked. Room was also noisy at night, we could hear noises which sounded like tree branches dropping on our roof pretty loudly multiple times at night (might be caused by monkeys?)

A Superb Hotel ”
This hotel is a legendary hotel in Sigiriya area, and most famous for its Sigiriya Rock view directly from its swimming pool. The Standard Room we stayed in is also nice, although it is quite obvious that certain parts of the room are aging and therefore require renovation. The bathroom is newly renovated, as it looks new and modern, with powerful shower and stable hot water. Guests who stay at this hotel most likely will need to have dinner at hotel, because there is virtually no good restaurant nearby as Sigiriya is a very small village. Food for both dinner and breakfast is very nice, with a great selection of both western and Sri Lankan food. We arrived very late in the afternoon, so we had little chance to spend time at the swimming pool that offers amazing view of the Sigiriya Rock. Therefore, it is advisable that those who would like to stay at this hotel to arrive around noon or early afternoon, and then spend the rest afternoon at their swimming pool.

First night of honeymoon in Sri Lanka ”
My husband and I stayed in Hotel Sigiriya the first night of our honeymoon. We landed in Colombo at 3 AM and made it to Sigiriya by 6:30 AM so our room was not ready upon arrival. We ate their breakfast buffet which had a good spread of tasty options. The hotel itself is very clean and you can see them constantly cleaning common areas. Our room was no different- clean, comfortable, with all the basic amenities needed. Our only gripe was that our TV remote wasn’t working, which usually wouldn’t be a big deal because we rarely spend time in the hotel room, but it happened to pour rain for our day there and we resorted to watching TV. Because of the rain, we did not get to use the pool either, but it looked very well maintained. The hotel staff was very friendly and polite. We noticed that there were a lot of big tourist groups staying at the hotel, which made for a very congested morning when the tours would depart around 8AM. Location-wise, it is a quick drive to Sigiriya Rock.
