Quarantine Stay OK”
Staff go above and beyond to make a difficult stay OK. Food and needs met by Hotel staff. Aaron and Vincent are great young men. Our first Hotel JMM Resorts cancelled on us short notice. Hotel SOGO stepped in to fill the void. Thank you all.

This hotel is value for money. Location is great for people who likes shopping. Fast food like MacD, JollyBee, Chow King is just walking distance 5 mins downstairs. Room is reasonably clean, Aircond takes a bit time to cool thats ok. Staff are courteous, Car park behind is free. what more could I ask. LRT is infront of the hotel. Good value for a budget hotel. Definitely will come back again.

decent location, quiet amid the chaos of the lrt”
paid 27.91 per night after taxes and fees. not a bad place to rest your head after running around manila. stayed 2 nights here and moved on. efficient check-in, good wi-fi, decent channel selection on a small tv. channel line-up includes free porn so you can figure out that this hotel offers hourly rates for couples. also the red lights over the bed and big mirrors might also offer some clues.......with that said it was not a problem for us. hallway smelled of mold, could not smell any mold in our room. hot water and cold aircon. if you expect 5 star amenities at a 1 star price you will not find it here. overall we were satisfied with what we received for what we paid. hotel does not have much of a lobby/waiting area to speak of and what is there is usually crowded and busy checking customers in and out. the rooms do not have windows.

SUPER Convenient transportation location for travellors but the area is spooky at night”
VERY CONVENIENT (45 minutes by LRT to PASAY / 1 hours to NAIA by LRT then TAXI / 1.5 hours to DAU ANGELES city) if you have to get to some of those TRAVELLER places easily without regular traffic without going through EDSA. However the area looks a little like a dump like Chinatown so feels not safe at night although I never felt any danger personally maybe because I blend in. Facilities are quite average but there are many restaurants food choices and lots of shopping areas (Victory mall, SM Hypermarket) Victory bus terminal for places north is very near. The area has many brand name short time hotels so very competitive market offering discounts for giving any hotel discounts in case you have to extend short time. The hotel is on the 5th floor of a market building.

Staff, Location, New ”
A little difficult to find but a gem. The hotel is undergoing upgrading & rooms are new & clean. Location superb ... food, transporation etc. Flexible as they have hourly charges. Aka Hotel 81 & Fragrance chain in Spore. Not suitable for family .. like a motel with couples checking in/out for a few hours of privacy :). Staff that I encountered from the Reception, Maint etc were SUPERB - Polite, Cheerful & Accomodating. Internet was a little slow in the room but was great at the reception area where seats are avail with headset & charging points. Stayed for 1 day plus 10 hrs .. I check out & saved some $$$ in-between. Kris, thanks for the upgrade of the room

Slummy, overpriced hovel; like sleeping in squalor”
the sogo chain's motto is "so clean... so good!" in our experience, the sogo we stayed at near monumento station was neither of those things at all! it was one of the most expensive places that we stayed at during our time in the philippines (50 days!) and was by far the worst place we have ever stayed anywhere. when you walk in, there are signs everywhere that claim that minors are not allowed, which is probably a huge warning flag that this chain is perhaps not the most reputable. nevertheless, we only needed a place to sleep for one night...how bad could it be? answer: really bad! we booked a premium room, which is not the cheapest room type on offer, so we figured it would probably be halfway decent. wrong! when we walked in, our room had a very musty smell, and just looked dank and depressing: the wallpaper was buckled and peeling, and the bed still had a previous guest's hair on it and the sheet was covered in holes & stains. although there was a package on the desk with a clean sheet & towels, we just did not feel very comfortable with the standard of the room and while we felt like the room was probably cleaner than it appeared, we both opted to sleep in our own sleep sacks that night! you wouldn't want to spend much time here, but even if all you planned to do was sleep, if you don't feel comfortable lying on the bed that sort of defeats the point! pretty much, this was the grossest place we have stayed in 4 months of traveling around asia, as it just felt seedy and supremely rundown. the good points are that it is very close to the monumento lrt station which makes traveling around the city easy, and although there is a loud market on the street below, we could not hear anything in our room. security is also clearly a priority, so while we may have had hygiene concerns, safety wasn't an issue. that said, i would only stay here as a very last resort or if you have very low standards!

Courteous Staff and Great Location”
The hotel location was just perfect for my early next day meeting. No matter how many times I went in and out of my room, the staff I meet never failed to greet me and ask if everything is okay. Like my previous accomodation, the aircon and hot/cold shower worked perfectly.

Excellent Value For Money”
this hotel is a gem. Its clean. The staff are the best of any hotel u can attend. If u can put up with women moaning out of pleasure lol then this place is the best. The staff look after me here when my remittance was late they allowed me to claim food drinks and cigarettes on TAB so to speak and allowed me to pay when my remittance cleared. absolutely wonderful. Very Cheap. Great shopping. And its safe.

Excellent for a 2 star hotel. Even 5 star hotel staff can learn from politeness and super efficiency I experienced. Only location is not suitable for a tourist. I like the system of charging hourly rates. Good if you are waiting for late night flights as you don't pay by the dat butby the hour.
