Hotel Sogo San Pendro is very accessible to transpo and for fast food chain and the market. But the staff is not that very good. We checked in for 24 hrs. Around 8 am the front desk called us just to ask if we ordered something did not even say sorry, I said thats fine, around 10 am some keep on knocking at our door saying we only have 10 mins where in fact our checkout time is 2pm. I called front desk and the staff told us she'll check on it again no apologies! I've been a front desk officer for a year I've never been that rude. we check in not for leisure or what, we checked in to sleep and rest. They should know how to respect guests!

The staff are all polite, but the room was smelly.. i actually booked an executive room, it could have been better if they wont allow anyone smokes in the room..

Stay only if you have to for location”
San Pedro and Alabang have a shortage of any hotels that are safe so they appear quite busy and therefore after you book for a week on Agoda you will never see them again. You will get smiling faces at the front desk when you ask to have a room cleaned and will return to find a dirty room and smiling faces. I read other reviews before going and was not surprised to find the sink in the bathroom clogged first day. I fixed myself with a wire I brought after observing their plumbing at the Alabang. The toilet will not total flush as the water supply keeps the water from sinking low enough to dispose of sewage. The solution was to use the bidet hand wash and point it downward to force the cycle completion. All they need to do to fix this is put bricks in the toilets to reduce held water for a faster drop. I say this because they have to be wasting many gallons of water each day times the number of rooms they have. The food is great and priced well but your plates will still be in your entry room 5 days later. I am surprised there were not more insects and rodents. Their a/c regulator would only work on high so the thin queen top sheet you are supplied will not keep you warm. Take a blanket or a good woman. Their brochure says you can rent an extra sheet for 25 pesos a day which I ordered but it never made it to the room since they did not clean the last half of the week. So only stay if you have to.

One night only.”
This is the only hotel in San Pedro and located in the seedy section. My first concern was the fire exits. The one closest to my room led to a landing but the door to continue exiting was padlocked. Staff showed me another exit some distance from my room... I prayed No Fire! The hotel appears to cater to a certain clientele. Friendly enough staff, but the hotel is quite old and in need of TLC. I only spent the one night in San Pedro.

staff is very professional and polite”
Stayed at other SOGO's and this one did not disappoint either. Staff should become trainers for other hotel chains so that they know how to treat customers. Staff here is always polite and ready for any tasks you request... making you feel like a true guest.

I like the flexible in/out policy, guest can stay 24 hrs. from time of arrival! Female staff was proficient. I requested for high enough room (durng the booking process) so as not to hear street noise, but what they give is whatever is available by default, I guess. I could hear a loud live band (from a nearby bar, I think) up to the wee hours til around 2am. No hot water but tolerable due to the hot weather anyway. Everything I need, a working AC and a comfy bed, was provided for a good night's sleep (again, after the live band has ceased to play). Not bad for the price, recommendable.

None of the rooms have windows but it is a budget hotel and the rooms are nice with excellent shower facilities which actually work. It is clean and they make a big effort to please their clients, always very polite and friendly as well as helpful. One criticism is that all the rooms allow smoking and for someone like me and my partner where the smell of smoke turns our stomachs its not nice as the stale smell lingers in the room however, this room this time smelt sweet and free of stale smoke, it was really nice.

Dirty love-hotel”
I didn't realise I was booking into a filthy little love-hotel with no windows. In my first room, there was a horrendous 24 droning noise (possibly from the cooling system?) and the aircon was so loud it was hard to sleep. The bathroom door kept locking itself, the shower was a weak dribble and of the 2 plug sockets in the room, one didn't work and the other had exposed electrical wiring sticking out of it. I moved rooms to one down the hall the following night and although the drone was largely gone, the aircon worked at around 80 decibels - it was impossible to sleep with it on. Fortunately it was cool enough that we could get away with having it on for 30 minutes then sleeping with it off. In both rooms they kept turning the cable TV off at random times for no apparent reason. Possibly maintenance, but it happened 4 times in 3 days. The food was decent enough though, to be fair. Not recommended.

The food is good such a surprise but it is if you stick to the local filipino foods they messed up my booking and unlike any other place I have stayed they expect you to have a printed copy of your booking they hotel girls receptionists are incompetent the manager is very nice but seems he has taken in a job that you would. It wish on the worst person in the world please never book this hotel through Agoda you are safer just turn up if you really have to stay here and roll the dice

The hotel supervisor was a neophyte in terms of service. We had to wait for an hour just for them to check authenticity of booking.
