If you're looking for a luxurious experience in Rome, Hotel Splendide Royal is the place to go. On our second night at the hotel, they provided essential oils and bath salts complimentary for guests who've enjoyed 'a long day at the Eternal City'. It's also a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Villa Bourghese. When we told taxi drivers to go to 'Via di Porta Pinciana', they know you're at the Hotel Splendide Royal. The breakfast was a tad lackluster though. Nothing exciting. We had to pay when we requested for fried eggs, for example. (They only had scrambled eggs.) But overall, it's a beautiful and luxuriously decorated hotel.

Amazing hotel, 10 minutes away from the Spanish Steps, very helpful staff ”
We went to Rome for a 4 night trip. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes away from the Spanish steps ( leisurely walking). We stayed in the Delux room which has a nice view of the gardens opposite to the hotel. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the television wasn't the easiest to operate. We stayed there in march so we were happy to find a radiator In the bathroom that they place towels on for you to use after a bath. Upon arrival to the room they had given us complementary chocolate and bottles of water and a nice message signed by the manager I believe. Room service was quick but the food wasn't great to be honest (this is my only misgiving about the hotel, they must work on better room service food). Our room came with free breakfast which was served and the sixth floor ( spacious room, great views, delicious buffet with a great variety of food). All in all our time there was great. Traveling to Rome in march was a great decision ( cool breeze + warm sunshine).

Wonderful Hotel and location”
The service was immaculate from the moment we arrived, the room was a little smaller then we had anticipated but was beautiful and had everything we needed. There are lovely touches which do make it feel 5* rather than so many other 5 star hotels which are more like 4*, including the turn down service and the incredible bar. Definitely make an effort to have a drink here even if you are not eating in the restarurant. The staff were extremely accommodating and even sent a bottle of prosecco to the room for my birthday even though we had not mentioned it. The only change I would possibly make would be to have tea and coffee amenities in the room but this was a small wish. I would happily stay here for every visit to Rome.

Center of the Major Attractions”
The second time in Rome for some of us. Location is the first priority when picking a hotel in Rome as there are many famous sights that you will regret missing. The hotel is of traditional Roman style. Everything is good from room view of guest room and breakfast outlet, to the location of the hotel, except there lacks a concierge which makes the hotel a bit off the 5-star level. In Rome, your feet have become the major transport. In the day time you walk from one attraction to another. At evening you walk from one restaurant to another to look for the best deal. The catering service are of top-notch, as once when we were at the Patheon, we picked a cafe to sit outside, the waiter offered to move the seats to facing the Patheon. When spotting one of us taking picture of the menu, he offered to hold it to let us take a better shot (of course including him in the pic)

We had a fantastic stay - will definitely come back. Room was lovely, spacious, although our room has no view. Staffs were all very friendly and helpful, which made our stay very memorable. Above all, we had one of the best food in Rome at the restaurant in the hotel.

Quiet Luxury”
Came to Rome for our Honeymoon. Reception staff was extremely attentive, we were shown into a small room for us to freshen up until our room proper was ready. Also very helpful in booking tours and pointing to the must see places. Room was large and clean and quiet. Walking distance (10 minutes) to the Spanish Stairs. The only slightly disturbing issues were the rather slow and boorish waiters at the breakfast area, and the large number of noisy U.S. visitors - but then this is to be expected when in Rome.

Loved the spa at the sister hotel only wished it was at our hotel. Staff all were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Splurged on a suite and it was nice and spacious. Lovely view of the park.

Gorgeous”
Location was nice, just in front of Villa Borghese and close to Piazza di Spanga. The room was sizeable and clean. The restaurant on the top of the hotel was with a single Michelin star. Terrace seats were with a great view.

The small hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are luxuriously accessorized. We were not pleased that we were not allowed to modify our prepaid reservation within hours of making it, eight months in advance of our arrival. It cost us an extra night’s room charge. Beware of the cancelation and no-show policy when booking.

Great luxury hotel”
The staff is amazing, they do everything to make you feel special. The rooms are spotless clean however it could be a beeter shower for the hotel category. The only bad point is the breakfast, for €38 euros the options must be unendind, the pastries must be warm amd made at a time, the juice and fruit options must be better as well.

Romantic hideaway”
Very romantic , elegant hotel, short on the amenities you would expect from a larger hotel at this price (like swimming pool, fitness center etc). This is basically a very elgent boutique hotel. Very nice to look at but short of modern of features.

Most uncomfortable room I've ever been in. ”
I was unable to sleep as it was soooo uncomfortable There was exactly 12 inches between the bottom of the twin beds and the wall which was mirrored to make up for no window. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows even worse. You could not get to the bathroom without bumping into the other bed and there was no place to open the suitcase other than on the bed. There wasn't enough space to even place it on the floor. The bathroom sink didn't drain and it was overall a miserable stay at the hotel. Rome is incredible so we stayed away from the hotel
