Vico Equense's Sporting is a 4-star hotel, perched on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It features a panoramic restaurant, and a private beach equipped with deckchairs and umbrellas. Each air-conditioned room comes with decorated tiled floors, simple light-wood furniture, and a private bathroom with toiletries and a hairdryer. Most rooms offer views of the sea. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. At the restaurant with views of the Harbour of Naples, you can enjoy classic Italian and regional cuisine. The bar with large terrace offers beautiful views of the area. Breakfast is buffet style. The recently renovated Hotel Sporting is 600 metres from Vico Equense Train on the Circumvesuviana line, which links to Naples, Pompei, Ercolano and Sorrento. The bus to Capodichino Airport stops at a 2-minute walk away.

The private beach is available from 1 May until 30 September. Entrance in the hotel’s private beach is free for guests. There is an extra charge for umbrellas and deckchairs. The beach is at the bottom of the cliff and can be reached with a lift, operating at scheduled times. The restaurant is open from 1 April until 20 October.

Pros Highly reccommend a sea view room with balcony amazing to sit and drink some wine while the sun goes down Staff are amazing- the dinner we had was one of the best and the waiter was so friendly & made us feel at home The location of this hotel is in the city before the main tourist locations which we loved as it wasn’t swamped with tourists and it was super easy to get to Sorrento and positano either by bus or train. Cons The private beach is great but the beds and towels umbrellas weren’t included in the room which I think is a massive let down considering you are paying a fair bit. There is no parking but you can park around the corner for about 10euro a day it’s secure you get a key to access it & the parking guy is a legend. Though the dinner was good it was well overpriced. Overall I would recommed this hotel to people but I do think the hotel should included the use of the private beach facilities in the price of the room.
