Kept us warm in the cool Pyin Oo Lwin night”
Good hotel, nice staff. There was good flow of hot water in the shower with hot tub and the room included aircon with heating function. Breakfast was nice too. Price a little higher due to flower festival going on. Would not mind staying there again if price was lower.

I thought it was better”
Very nice hotel from the outside, but the rooms seams to belong to an hospital. It wasn’t at all at I expected, also staff wasn’t so useful, kind but not helpful. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Nice Hotel But Poor Staff”
Basically, the rooms are very nice & the services are quite average although the breakfast is average. I took 1 double room and 1 family room (4 pax). Unfortunately, the time we visited was Thadingyut (Candle-light Season) so there were fireworks all over the city. The only downside of the hotel is that the management allowed the fireworks in the hotel compound at the late night, and it made some guests uncomfortable including myself as I was travelling with the very young kid. There were some foreigners who got mad as the fireworks were shot in the hotel compound over 10 PM. They insisted to report to the local authority, but I explained them to sleep over the night since shooting fireworks were something traditional around here like Chinese newyear. But the hotel should be more responsible to weigh the satisfaction of some customers (local people less than 10 paxes) with other guests (both locals and foreigners) staying at the hotel.

So much potential, but doesn't quite hit the mark”
This place looks great, and the room was big. I was happy to have hot water, having come from a place that only had cold water. And it was VERY cold in January in Pyin Oo Lwin! There was a woman I could call to get a taxi to or from the hotel, and to order breakfast every night for the next morning. The location is quiet, but not near the gardens - it's near the Chinese temple. Those are the pros. Now, for the cons. Other than the woman I could call, no one spoke any English. I've lived in Myanmar for 5 years and can speak some Burmese, but still couldn't communicate with the staff. Breakfast is served to your room, but by the time they cross the big courtyard in the cold weather, everything is cold. Cold toast, cold eggs, cold coffee. (This could be solved if they got some covers and covered the food.) Also, in the cold weather most of the Myanmar hotels have AC units that are supposed to double as heaters. But for an AC unit to cool things down, it has to be mounted up high by the ceiling. This doesn't at all work for heating the room because warm air rises, and the heater was cranked up high but never warmed the room. They gave me an extra blanket, but you still might want to cover your head. I had a couple strange experiences with the room. They moved me to a new room after 1 night, and even though the staff had all day to move my things (I didn't know until I came back that they were moving me), they waited to move everything until right before I came back - and some meds got left in the fridge in the old room. Another day I came home in the evening, and my door was wide open - no one was in the room, just the open door, with my laptop sitting out in the open (there are no safes in the rooms). This place has potential - just needs some training for the staff, and a better breakfast system. Maybe the regular staff left for the season - I don't know. But it's nicely built and the grounds are nice.

One of the best hotels in Myanmar”
An excellent hotel located in a very quiet area of town with friendly helpful staff managed by Nang Thiri Aung. Would definitely be one of the top hotels in Pwin Oo Lwin (Maymyo), with great value for money. As a frequent traveller I would recommend this hotel without reservations. I shall be back!!!

Nice experience!”
The hotel is pretty new, totally clean and lovely on the outside, rooms are basic but practical, in the staff only one girl speaks good english, but the service was very good, even with breakfast room service:) it's a bit outside downtown, but still works if u want to stay in a quiet place!

Most beautiful and well-staffed hotel we stayed at in Myanmar!”
This hotel was absolutely incredible. There was excellent air conditioning and a very clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast in bed was included and was delicious everyday. The property was also beautiful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again next time I am in Pyin Oo Lwin.
