Good location
This has been design 10 years ago so do not expect any unique experience. The room is small but functional. However you will hear everything from the corridor, and neighbor rooms. The location is good with easy access to metro, many restaurants and bars just outside the hotel.

Nice small hotel
Accessibility, Cleanliness and Affordable
I stayed for 5 nights with my friend at Standard Design hotel. Hotel room is a bit on the small side but we managed overall quite well with 2 big luggage. Do take note that if you intend to do takeaway and eat when back in the hotel, there is only one small table stand against one of the wall in the room and there only one high chair. We ended up having a picnic on the floor instead! It was a lovely stay at the hotel - the front counter is generally quite helpful and hotel provides a shuttle to the airport at about 16euros per person - driver will add on another 1-2 euros for the luggages. Hotel is near Bastille metro and around a bustling area that have many cafes/bars/pubs etc but nevertheless we don't feel unsafe even when walking around 10ish at night in winter. We walked everywhere in Paris - usually walked to Bastille metro and from there trek to Notre dame, certain days, we walked along seine river and travel to many locations such as lourve, lafeyette & primtemps and champs elysee etc. It was a far walk but provide much needed exercise to burn off all that excess calories from indulging in Parisian food!

A highly recommended hotel
The staff, service and price
I booked the hotel a few days before arrival. The location is good. Room is clean and the staff speak good English. This is a good hotel which is high cost/value.

Location, price and comfort
The hotel was in a great location and close to the metro. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Perfect for a short stay in Paris. The hotel is in a great area for restaurants and bars.

Clean, location
Rooms are small but nice. Near a Bistro so expect late night noise. Near a church so expect a giant bell ringing every hour. Rooms are comfy. The toilet water running, kept me up at night. Breakfast is expensive. Not close to a Metro stop. Walk to the Bastille stop is not good. I would look else where next time.

Great hotel for a city break in Paris
Great location, clean rooms
The Standard Design Hotel is well located for young people wanting a base for a city break in Paris. The surrounding area has plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars and a lively atmosphere in the evening. And the hotel is only a few minutes walk from Bastille metro station. The hotel itself is well maintained and clean, but like anywhere in Paris it is compact. The lift is tiny and the rooms are small, but still comfortable. There is an ipod dock in the room, but the connection on the one in our room was a bit dodgy. The breakfast is overpriced, but there are plenty of cafes nearby offering cheaper alternatives.

Good location but extremely small room
the young man at the Reception was very plesant and helpful
Breakfast with very limited choice and is overpriced.
Beside the size of the rooms are very small, the bathroom of the single room is badly designed with nowhere to put the amenities.
