Nice place to stay overnight after Kumano Kodo”
We took the bus to Kii Katsura station after hiking the Kumano Kodo. Hotel was an easy 0.4 mile walk from the station. Great room with futon on tatami mats. Beautiful view overlooking the water. Easy walk to restaurants. Awesome bath/onsen. Would stay here again.

The hotel location is very nice, nearby the JR sataion 8 mins., and close to the beach. The room is very clear and has a nice view. The breakfast is awesome nice too!

The hotel is not far from the JR station. It is about 7 to 10 min walk away. The dinner and the breakfast were very delicious. The room which has the sea view was wonderful. If I ever come again, I will stay here again.

Room facing the sea with sunrise view. Japanese style room with a toilet and wash basin which is convenient to wash up. Onsen was small but fully equipped. Staff were very nice but native speakers only. Good experience with some Japanese culture.

Lovely room ”
The room was clean and the futons comfortable. There was a sweet little sitting room with a view of the water. A large table allowed us to have a meal in the room. Staff was helpful and patient using Google Translate since they don’t speak English nor we Japanese.

Although staffs aren't very skilled in English; they are very dedicated and willing to help. Breakfasts and dinners are very generous. Dinners are almost a feast; with the parade of sashimi and bowls of clammed-filled rice and hotpots. The room is spacious, comfy and very clean. The only downside is the distance from the station; especially if you have big luggage. But then again, you get to see the sea upfront and personal. I love listening to the sea wave at night. :)

An odd place with an odd atmosphere”
Our plan was to stay one night after hiking the Kumano Kodo so we were prepared to splurge a little and have a comfortable night. As things turned out we needed to arrive a day earlier and stay an extra night. For the first night they put us in one of the larger corner rooms claiming that was all they had and charging us double - it turned out they had plenty of smaller empty rooms. The staff speak no language other than Japanese, all food has to be booked a day in advance - which I understand for smaller family-run establishments or if the food is going to be particularly special, but this is a regular hotel with no so special food, so we couldn't understand it. Service for coffee/beer only was really slow. On the second night we moved into the smaller room - which at half the price still seemed expensive but the views of the sea and bay from both rooms are nice. The onsen with jacuzzi and a view of the sea was very pleasant.
