the worst hotel i have ever stayed in, filthy
i have traveled to 37 countries, stayed in over 500 cities, and thousands of hotels, and this place is by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. it was filthy! there piles of pidgeon droppings in front on many of the rooms (this is inside the hotel), and my feet would turn black walking from the bed to the bathroom, not to mention the deposits of whatever on the walls. wifi in room was also a joke, it never worked and all they have is an aircard which they occasionally plug in. but to add injury to insult. my booking was paid in full online, and i paid my restaurant bill that morning after eating. i went to check out, dropped off the key, and then went to the street to hail a cab.. the front desk clerk accosted me on the street saying i had to pay, but he couldn't speak or read english. i showed him the booking on m mobile that said paid in full, and he still wouldn't let me go, he physically grabbed my suitcase out of the cab, it was completely ridiculous as i need to catch a bus.. i then went up to the reception desk while they called someone, (the owner), and finally got it straightened out - so i thought.. back to the street to catch my cab and get to the bus before it leaves, and he accosts me again, this time about a restaurant bill from that morning and two other days (they couldn't make change in the restaurant, go figure). i explained again that i had just payed that bill this morning with my breakfast (breakfast for 3 days), but the restaurant guy was away across the street getting groceries so they insisted i "sit down" and "wait" while they sort it out.. finally their guy came and confirmed that indeed i had paid, and i made my escape from this hole. frankly i was about to call the police!!! absolute nonsense & total incompetence from staff, and a really awful hotel - the deluxe room they gave me was a filthy joke.
