Friendly staff, nice room, nice bathroom. The only downside is the refrigerator and one of the bedside lamps (which was not working). It would be great if there were some hangers in the closet and a small clothesline in the room, so guests can hang their wet towels or swimsuits.

The room is spacious and has a bathtub, but the remote control for the AC only works in one of the rooms. Also, there is hot water in one of the rooms but not in the other.

I would avoid probolinggo altogether! The only spotless area in the hotel is the lobby, the room and bathroom were quite dirty, there's a colony of mosquitoes somewhere, and pretty sure we weren't the first ones to sleep in those sheets! There is a big hole with water inside that they call swimming pool but the water is so green we couldn't see the bottom! I'm pretty sure there was some life in there! The staff was friendly and breakfast is a buffet, the only 2 positive points of our stay. Enter at your own risks...

For one night, afer we changed the room as the first one we've received was a dark mosquito paradise, it was ok. No hot or at leats warm water however. It is on old hotel, the rooms and the objects need an urgent update as I was feeling sick only by touching the trash can from the bathroom, for example. Maybe on the Internet we can't find many options to stay in in Probolingo, but at the sight, there are clean and cheap homstays that are a better option in my opinion.

Needs more improvement”
We arrived late, 12am but entertained well by the hotel staff. They allowed us check out 1 hour late because of our arrival. We don't have enough time to see the hotel surrounding. The room is spacious, however it is not well maintained, not clean and didn't have wifi access. Wifi only at lobby area. Consider the location and room condition, it is not worth for it price.

The reviews warned us about the poor condition of the hotel. The hotel did not disapoint the expectation. It realy needs renovation and it should been cleaned a lot better. For one night knowing what to expect, it's more or less ok.

Below-avg room & facility; avg service”
The room we stayed in had air conditioning but no hot water. None of the rooms have wifi unless you are close to the hotel lobby. We would not stay here again for a few reasons: the rooms were below average in its facilities and cleanliness (we did not even get toilet paper in our room!), we also got chewed by mosquitoes (but I supposed that isn't the hotel's fault). Nevertheless, the staff were still pretty nice and helpful even though their English abilities were elementary at best.

Horifying experience”
Our stay at the Hotel Tampiarto was a sequence of problems. In order to get a double bed (as we initially booked), we needed to pay the double price of the twin bed room we were assigned. The room was exactly the same size as the twin bed room.

The staff is nice but...”
The room is completely different from what they show on their pictures, dirty, old, lack of facilities, they didn't prepare extra bed for us until we asked them. No wifi. The second night we stayed there, there're a bunch of students running and making noise in front of our room, even knocked on our door yet no staff came to take care of the problem. Also the staff introduced this guy who conned us into buying shuttle bus ticket to yogyakarta, promising pick-up and drop-off service but then the driver didn't agree to drop us off at our hotel and asked for more money.

the worst hotel of our entire trip in Indonesia (30 days traveling), we were in a Deluxe room, the hotel is very old, the sheets were dirty with blood stains, the floors were dirty, the bathroom was very dirty, there was not toilet paper, the bed was uncomfortable, and to complete the picture there were thousands of mosquitos in the room, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Was OK. Very, very basic. Staff could not really speak English. A lot of mosquitos in the garden and in the room. I only stayed here to go to Bromo the next morning, would not stay here for more than 1 night.
