    rather eccletic”
Room on 1st floor was small, dark and musty smelling looking into a tiny atrium. no wifi in room; only in front salon. location is fairly close to downtown, but even here parking is a nightmare. would stay here only in an emergency and only for 1 night. several cheap eats options in near vicinity.

    A good nights sleep”
    Quiet but convenient location,
This boutique hotel located in a quiet street in downtown Santa Cruz was fortunately known to the taxi driver after I arrived late at the North airport. After a quick shower I was directed by the very helpful staff to a bar just up the road wher the kitchen was still open (at 11 pm ) and where I enjoyed an excellent steak washed down with a couple of draft beers. The bed at the hotel proved very comfortable, and I slept like a log, and in the morning, the hotel being too small to have adining room, I had coffee at a cafe down the road and discovered that the long-distance bus statioon was within walking distance(just!)even with my two wheeled suitcases.
