Fantastic location, decent rooms, should be truthful about the facilities ”
I have no objection regarding the location and type of rooms. Just opposite to the Stockholm central station, subway station just below the property, also close to shops/restaurants and other facilities. It has a decent breakfast. City center stockholm is generally very pricey and hotel room rates are high as well. Compared to that the rooms and the price are decent enough. However, I believe that the room rate we pay for the hotel includes all its facilities and services. The sauna, swimming pool and gym were under renovation and not accessible during my stay. Considering this, the hotel should either lower its room rate for the time being or make provisions for its guests to use such facilities in other locations. They haven't done so and hence I had to convert a 5-star review to an average 3-star review.

Good Location near Central station”
A good location for transit to other cities, Clean and more comfortable despite side of room quite small. Suitable for traveler who need to explore the Stockholm but not need to spend a many time in Hotel.

An oldie but a goodie”
Stockholm is expensive, so I booked this as the best somewhat affordably option with a central location. Right on top of the main station for the metro and across the road from the airport train (Arlanda Express), and 5-10 minutes walk from Gamla Stan (old city). Plenty of nearby restaurants to chose from. The property is aged but well maintained. The included breakfast is adequate - the only thing I missed was an "egg station". Tea and instant coffee in the room. One outstanding feature was a smart TV and fast WiFi, so we were able to stream our own Australian TV replays directly to the large screen. We had an "executive suite with city view". Nice for watching life's passing parade below, but noisy at night. There's no aircon, so we had an issue not getting too hot at night because we couldn't have the window open.

Great hotel for train travellers ”
Just across the street from main entrance to Stockholm central station, it was very convenient for catching a long distance train. Ferries and Metro are also close. Buffet breakfast was good. Saun was being refurbished during our stay

Excellent”
I booked last minute and got a good deal ($100 US). My room was very small, but I was only there overnight. It was a great location because I was coming and going by train and the Central Station is right across the street. It's also a short walk to Gamlastan and attractions in that area. It was clean and the breakfast was good. I had read the reviews about underground train and street noises so I requested a room on an upper floor and in the back which they accommodated. For a short stay I would definitely stay again.

Good location and old hotel”
The first time I went to Stockholm with my family. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. From Arlanda Airport we took express train to Central Station within 20 minutes. The hotel near the station where many restaurants and mini markets inside. Shopping mall also near the street to the station. The facilities are old enough except the bathroom which already had been renewed.

We were greeted by a not so smiley staff when we check in. We've requested for a quiet room which was granted. Becos I had read some reviews that it could be noisy due to the trains. The location is super good, just opposite Central Station. Room was okay with coffee tea facilities. But overall room is a bit old... but still acceptable. Breakfast was good. Lastly we were checked out with a more friendly staff in the morning this time.

This is an excellent hotel. The room was so comfortable with twin beds as requested and a comfortable sitting area as well . Breakfast was a real treat. The location was central to all locations we wanted to visit. The room was maintained and staff polite.

Right on top of the station, quite noisy ”
It's an aging hotel so comes with it's charm as well as all the shortfall of the modern day comfort, the furniture is quite old and not very practical, the beds are joined together to make one big double bed, the worst are the blankets, it's so small you can hardly cover yourself with it given that Stockholm is so up north and the nights are very cold. The lift is so small, 4 people can hardly fit in, leave alone the luggage. But in all fairness this is still a very good location, very close to all the essentials and the trade off for some will be justifiable so it comes down to your preference, my advice is, if you are coming for a longer term stay, book elsewhere.

Good location as it was central to everything. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. However, facilities in hotel rooms were disappointing. We had to ask for kettle for our room, and the heating was not very good, and since we were there during -10 degree temperatures you need good heating in hotel rooms. Also our power outlets stopped working the second night we stayed there. So we had to be switched to the next available room, which took some time. Staff made sure they answered all our questions, and gave us recommendations on good food places, directions for sights, etc. I think maybe just needs to update their facilities in rooms and put up the central heating system in winter. The breakfast was very good.

lack of elevator”
The room I stayed with was on the 1st floor with no elevator. Not easy for a woman to carry the luggage on stairs. The room also didn't have any windows. Wish the reservation site had the lack of elevator and windows information. I would paid more to stay in a room with easy access and a window. Breakfast was not great. The staff at front desk was wooden, and unfriendly. The luggage was never stored in a locked facility. They gave me the luggage tag but when I returned 2 hours later, the suitcase was still in the hallway without anyone tending it. Could have gotten stolen very easily. If you can improve the front desk staff service, I will stay again.

There were construction works going on directly outside our window which woke us up every morning and continued to make horrible sounds all day long. We were on holiday, so wanted to sleep in and we found that the kitchen staff were very rude a clattered around us at exactly 10am - which showed no flexibility what so ever. The double bed was to separate beds next to each other - and for the price we paid I expected a double bed. However the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and well located.
