Very good
I stayed here because work took longer than expected. It's true, as others have mentioned, that the water facilities in the private room are old (with cracks in the sink and bath), but I appreciate the effort to provide service, such as having access to the underground bathing facilities and the option for private use during certain times. Also, since it's a business hotel, having a tea porridge service (with free refills) after working late into the night was very comforting. Moreover, it was great that the breakfast buffet could be purchased even the day before, and there was coffee and barley tea available from 4 PM until midnight, providing various benefits. The hotel staff was a mix of Japanese and foreigners, but both were courteous in their service. The manga corner has a selection ranging from young boys' to young adults' comics. Laundry is available in a coin-operated format, and detergent is sold for 50 yen (of course, you can also bring your own). The information file in the room mentions a cleaning service held at the front desk, but it's outdated, as it seems this service is no longer available. Additionally, during this time of year, the room attire and bedding are thin and cold, so it's advisable to wear layers or borrow a blanket (the front desk has various items available for borrowing). By the way, the breakfast has a greater variety of Japanese dishes, with hot drinks offered as miso soup, coffee, or green tea made with hot water. The bread consists of small rolls and croissants, which might not be enough for those engaging in physical labor. People have mixed feelings about the scrambled eggs, but I liked them. I've shared quite a bit, but if you need a place to sleep due to work, I think it’s sufficiently functional and provides good service. However, since this is primarily a business hotel, if your goal is to relax or indulge at a hotel, you’d be better off at another hotel. Also, be aware that the hotel is located right before a steep incline, so heading towards Hinodecho from here means you'll encounter a very steep hill.
It's an older hotel, so don't expect anything fancy or modern. Honestly I like that about it though, it feels classic and homey. It is a great value and a welcoming environment. The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Yamada-san. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the public bath was so refreshing after a day of traveling. We had a Western-style room and it was quite spacious, considering there were 3 single beds. Highly recommend if you're visiting the Yokohama area as it is conveniently located near Sakuragicho station, which easily connects to wherever you're wanting to go. Only complaint is that the walls seem thin so you can easily hear noises from other rooms and the hallway. That kept me up at night so I suggest wearing ear plugs.
As soon as I arrived, I noticed that I had lost the key to my suitcase, and when I consulted with the staff, they responded very kindly. Although there seemed to be many foreign staff members, they were well aware of Japanese manners, and I felt that they had received thorough training. The building appears old, but it was very clean, with the restrooms and bathing areas kept in excellent condition. Personally, I really liked the large and medium-sized baths that seemed to have a history. Since I stayed there after a concert, I was very grateful for the late-night service of tea and coffee, which was perfect for my small hunger. There are times when the front desk closes at night, so it's something to be careful about, but they advised me that it would be better to take the key with me, which helped me avoid being locked out. The location is also excellent, so if you don’t mind the view, I would recommend it. I would definitely like to use it again when I visit Yokohama. Thank you very much for this experience.
The directions from the station were provided on the website with photos, which made me feel assured. The directions are simple, but it can be unsettling to arrive from another place and get off underground. I appreciated that. I accidentally booked a smoking room. Changing the room on the day was not possible, but I never said "I’m okay with the price increasing," so I’m not sure if there really weren't any other rooms available. Was the price low because it was a smoking room? I deducted one star because the details were unclear. I used the large bath at 6 AM first thing in the morning. The temperature of the water initially felt a bit lukewarm, but eventually became a bit hot. The bed was spacious at 140 centimeters, which was good. I think it was kept clean, but the lighting was dim and the building is a bit old, so perceptions may vary from person to person. I stayed without meals.

“Showa Retro Hotel”
Showa retro cafes are trending, but this one could also be called a Showa retro hotel. The traditional room keys and the "please clean" sign hung on the doorknob bring back memories. The room is extremely dry. The shared bath area is cramped, and when washing, your knees bump against the next person, and you end up getting splashed. But somehow, it feels comfortable and soothing. The free tea and rice porridge service from 10:30 PM and the old-fashioned comic corner provide a sense of relief. The bath in the shared area is surrounded by rocks, and the grand sound of the air conditioning creates a unique atmosphere. While modern hotels are nice, this place has its own charm.
