It is close to Hondae station exit 1, 5 min walk. many restaurants and shops nearby. The beef soup and chicken soup are excellent. It is located at the model university area. Enjoy it!

Staff were really friendly and quick to help. Location is near hongdae main street. Room might be cramp if you have 2 luggages though.

Good location, short walk from Hongik Univ station. Bathroom was a little small. Curb into the bathroom was slightly annoying, kicked on it a few times.

Also, even it is a non-smoking facility, people smoke in the rooms. Walls are somewhat sound proof. Toiletries are a nice touch. Location is great for shopping. Staff is amazing.

Very disappointed”
Really disappointed. It is normal for facilities to age. However, the cleanliness was very disappointing. Personally, I will never use it again. Also asked for a non-smoking room, but was handed a room full of cigarette smell. I asked if I could change the room, but I got a reply saying it was not possible because the room was already full. I want the hotel to know that there are a lot of non-smokers in the world these days. The location and staff were very good.

I had allergenic reactions somehow maybe the bedsheets are not clean enough. First i though that there was some bedbugs but it wasn't fortunately. I could not sleep enough scratching my body at dawn. Location was excellent but the cleanliness ....i am not sure

AWESOME STAY!”
We booked this hotel upon checking into our horrid Airbnb apartment. The 7 nights stay at Hotel The-ore has converted me back to staying at hotels! The staff we encountered over 7 nights were all very polite and helpful. Although they could only converse in basic English, they were patient in trying to understand us and what we typed into Google Translate (haha!). We received immediate assistance and resolution to all our queries and issues faced. Thumbs up for all the staff! The location is good, about a 5min walk from Hongik Uni Station exit 1. There is an escalator for this exit - no need to climb steep stairs while carrying your luggage! All around the hotel you can find convenience stores and in less than 3min walk you will reach the Hongdae shopping area. The room is relatively new, is bright, spotless clean and comfortable to chill in. Ceiling is high, TV is huge, aircon works great. The bathroom is small but considering all the above - it was okay for us. Love this hotel and will highly recommend!

Cozy room with all the amenities and close to all the Hongdae action”
My husband and I really liked this hotel because it was easy to get to and located near all the shopping, food, bars, and clubs in Hongdae. Access from the airport was easy. We took the 6002 airport limousine bus for 10,000won each, got out at the Marigold Hotel stop (2nd stop from the airport), and it was about a 3-5 minute walk. Room 801 was small but cozy. The bathroom is so small that there is no shower curtain, so when you do shower the sink and toilet will most likely get wet. We didn't mind this, but those who require more space may not want to stay in this type of room. It had all the amenities that a typical hotel has + the following extras: -Japanese style toilet with bidet -Heated floors For the discounted rate that Agoda provided, we were very happy with what we got and highly recommend for light travelers who want to be close to everything Hongdae has to offer.

Very Nice Room”
The hotel was located at Hongik Uni. Station, and a walkable distance of about 10 mins from Exit 1 (basically across the streets is already the Hongdae district). From the exterior, the hotel doesn’t looks impressive, but I did “wow” when I checked into the room. The size of the room was just nice, and it looks modern. However, it might be crammed if two luggages were to open in the room. That aside... I have stayed 4 hotels throughout the trip here, and this the only hotel that has a safe. Oh, and the staff was friendly and helpful as well. I just find that the price was a bit higher than most hotels, but that’s probably because of the location and room facilities.

Very Good Location ”
My stay at Hotel The Ore was very good, about 5-10 mins away from the centre of hongdae and the train station, which is fantastic! easy to find find the hotel. had some difficulties with the aircon but since i went there during the winter time, i can just open the window to let the cool breeze in so thats not a problem. overall although my room was small and everything gets wet in the bathroom after a shower, my stay was perfect and i would stay at the hotel again. (:

Exceptional”
Stayed here in total of 5 nights, I love the high windows/ceilings (night view is pretty!) Its about 5-7mins walk from Hongdae subway (exit 1), this exit has escalator up so you don't have to worry about carrying the luggage. And the crowded lively side of Hongdae is just at the opposite street. Although the room is relatively small (not much luggage packing space), but their beds are really comfy! (Both me and my friend agreed, cuz we had really good sleep everynight). They also have water dispenser available. Staff were really friendly and so glad they've got universal charger for loan (cuz mine didn't work) . A really pleasant stay!

This hotel really good location 5 min from hongdae street. Also bed is good. Room compare with price is good. but rest room a bit small for person who have a big body can be fill uncomfortable. If you find a good hotel with reasonable price this hotel should be in your list.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel the Ore. very comfortable, clean and warm, though the space is a bit small. One thing I suggest is the room floor looks a bit old, seems like going to crack soon, but not yet crack. Maybe can do some maintenance on the room floor. This is only my suggestion. Overall. It’s a good hotel, worth the price, and the staffs are very helpful. .thank you.

The hotel location is good ,quite near to the hongdae uni subway station exit no.1 . The room size is small but the facilities is good especially the heating which is very important during cold season. Highly recommend to anyone who looking a hotel in hongdae area. Give it a try !

Near transit that makes everything accessible and with nice, clean rooms, I'd definitely recommend The Ore to anyone looking for a hotel that won't break the bank. Staff were very helpful, and was able to obtain a pocket WiFi and Adaptor plugs when I had some difficulties. Worst thing was that the hotel restaurant is permanently closed, when I specifically woke up early for breakfast, but that was barely an annoyance. If you're looking to travel around by bus and save some coin, The Ore is a good choice that you won't be disappointed with.

This hotel is located so close to the heart of the shopping, nightlife, food, that you literally cannot miss out on anything, yet far enough away that it is quiet. I love the location. The hotel location is awesome, it is a quiet area but near to the market. Which is a plus. Water dispenser is also provided! This is a nice gesture. The staffs are great, very helpful and fast. Metro is few minutes away. For muslim travelers, few halal food restaurants can be found minutes away. Overall, highly recommended if you’re searching for a place to stay around Hongdae area.
