good hotel to stay”
An affordable hut on the beach”
We had the basic room without ac, but the ceiling fan kept temperatures very acceptable. The personel is great too. Friendly and welcoming. If you want an affordable hut at the beach in a small town look no further. You can book tours and bus/train/plane tickets as well as rent scooters here.
Would not go back again”
Nonsense hotel, doesn't even look like a hotel
Negative experience, didn't manage to have a good rest ”
1 - The room was extremely small, no place for us to move around after placing our luggage on the floor 2 - Nose was blocked and was sneezing badly when i was in the room. Might be sensitive to some chemical in the room? As there was a weird smell in our room..but my friend didn't feel anything 3 - We felt that the place is quite dodgy 4 - there are better hotel out there, would not go back again
Not for solo woman traveller ”
It's hard to find this hotel. Room is clean, staff not that helpful, full of man staying in this hotel wouldnt recommend if you are woman solo traveller. The hotel is on 5th floor. Either you take lift or you walk the stairs (and its scary with the stairs). Lift is on your right side when you found the "door" to the hotel. Overall is not bad.
may bearble when you are very tired”
there is nothing arround it for the big city like Mumbai you can not find a small western restaurant to take a breakfast neither dinner so before coming to rest... rather you already take meal and sleep.. only sleep but... even this is not easy ... sometimes too noisy.. but no choice coz other places with same price would be worst. it s a not terrible hotel, that take advantage of the lake of offer in south mumbay for modest budget traveller. still far from center, no facilities around, room nearly dirty, staff ok but no more, a bit gloomy for room without window, no real intimicy, bad configuration of the hotel, definitly not good for family. still ok for budget for solo travellers or couple ( bed separated ) just for survival into that big city... it can help some for the price
Nice location but be aweare of Coakcroaches!”
It was a good location and quiet room with window on 5th floor, but choose only super deluxe room! Most of their rooms are small and without windows. Staff was friendly, they helped us to book taxi for early morning flight - taxi came in time. Condition of the room was not fresh. And the worst part of this hotel was Cokcroahces, a lot of Cokcroaches!
Sketchy hotel. Felt strange ”
the dirtiest place I've ever been in my life is this gaff. Arrived late at night, so 9 staff members were there to stare at me and my girlfriend upon our arrival. Bit weird getting into a place late at night when you've no bearings but something felt weird about this place
nice but bathroom is soso”
Good value for money.”
Basic hotel, great location and good value for money.I would recommend for backpackers.Friendly and helpful staff made me feel welcome.
cheap and friendly”
If you wanna escape the overcrowded tourist place in Colaba, this is your alternative. The WI-FI is not existing.
A clean and efficient men's boarding hotel. ”
Tip Top has shared bathrooms and is essentially a men's boarding hotel and I'm female. This would've have been OK if there was a designated woman's area but there wasn't so made staying here quite uncomfortable for me.
we are couple in the age of 64 and 56.Our stay was for short stay. There are good transport facility of all sorts, and also hotels are near by.we were very much satisfied.Even though bath rooms are common, they neatly maintained. we felt as if we were at home.No complaints.
Clean and quiet”
the rooms are small, but come with a/c and cable tv. they are very clean, as is the communal bathroom, with its 5 combined shower/toilet cubicles. the guests are mainly indian, the front desk efficient, and the many staff (who sleep there) can be offputting. there are 2 train stations within walking distance that will take you to churchgate (end of the line)and from there you can walk and sightsee, shop, eat etc. 5rp one way. chowpatty beach is also a 10 min walk from the hotel. please note, the entry to the hotel is down a dark alley. looks dodgy, and then up an elevator to the 5th floor. push the button and it will come (complete with indian driver).
Manager changed my room without question.”
I don't like sharing bathrooms - especially in middle of night. If I needed to go to the loo - I had to get dressed to go - then undress when I got back. If ur young and healthy and want to pay roughly £14 a night for a room - not per person then it's ok. U can get food through room service and not bad at all. And don't forget to switch on hot water switch before going into washroom for shower!!
Great, but not for everyone”
I really enjoyed by stay here, but its really not a place for everybody. Its in a not very touristed part of time, which is fine by me, as my work needed me to be near by. The people were nice, the place was safe, clean, and cheap, which is really all one can ask for. The hotel is strict, but I don't really see any reason for anybody to be breaking any of those rules. No Wifi, but thats not because of them, WIFI is hard to come by in India, don't be put off by that.
wonderful hotel , near metro station grand road ”
very much in centre of city with lots of good food near close to haji ali . all good malls shopping and business centre would like to stay again next time
great location in central area”
not easy to find as its tucked away on the 5th floor of a building but our taxi driver had no problem. clients are mainly indians-businessmen etc which i liked.very friendly.shared bathrooms-but we found them clean.there was a single public bathroom down the hall that my wife used on occasion rather than the general public one.room was small.tv worked well.no internet anywhere.in fact internet is very hard to find in this whole area of mumbai because of security(terrorism). although we had an agoda voucher the hotel management would not accept it until they got their info from agoda.it finally came through but for a time i was concerned about paying for the room twice.
Lovely guesthouse, great location”
A great guesthouse to stay although its in the heart of mumbai its quiet and peaceful. Staff are great and more then happy to accomodate a great stay.
