Fantastic Option Just Outside Thamel”
Management and staff are very clearly dedicated, attentive, and determined to make Hotel Tranquil an oasis of comfort, cleanliness, and sanity amidst the chaos and bustle of Kathmandu. Very nice rooms in a relatively quiet neighborhood within easy walking access of the tourist district of Thamel. An adjacent restaurant of the same name offers great food at excellent prices, so there is no need to wander far if you prefer to take a prolonged break from the surrounding madness. Highly recommend.

Brand new facilities and very clean rooms. Great shower and bathroom. A safe place to stay. Very nice staff and they spoke great English. The included breakfast was very good with an Omelette or Boiled Egg, Tea or Coffee, 2 Slices of Toast with Butter and Jam and 1 Banana. The Hotel also has a good restaurant just around the corner. We were able to leave our excess luggage at the hotel while trekking with no problems!
