Will be there again”
I had a wonderful time staying at Travell inn. Staff is very friendly, particularly Mr. Rishi. Rooms are very comfortable for solo-traveller or a couple with budget constraints. The beauty of the place is its right at the center. Location is very convenient as its hardly one minute walk to the main market at Lakeside, Pokhara. There are many nice restaurants and bars within a distance of less than 200 meters. Hotel also has a breakfast facility which is also very good. They are comfortable if you want to alter the standard breakfast menu and require more of the same item [no noises on that front]. If its bright and sunny, I would recommend to have a breakfast on first floor [at the corner, there are couple tables] where one can see Annapurna peaks. The hotel also arranges for adventure activities like Trekking, Rafting, Paragliding and others and the costs are reasonable and arrangement is of superior quality. Instead of hopping off, I extended my stay for three more nights and the staff was cordial to adhere to the arrangements. Overall, I will be very happy to visit and stay, once again in my next trip to Pokhara! Thank you Mr. Rishi for making my stay so memorable! Hope to see you again this September.
i had a wonderful stay at the hotel travel-inn pokhara. i was given a warm welcome and it being off season was given my choice of 3 different rooms. my room had a fantastic view of the lake and up to the world peace pagoda. the room was very comfortable and clean and i really liked that there was the option of a bath. great bed too, slept very well. location was great, very central on lakeside, just off the main street. would definitely recommend !!
We stayed here for a month and loved it!”
We stayed at Hotel Travel Inn for a month in Pokhara while working at the Manipal Teaching Hospital. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly from Day 1, and they made us feel at home throughout our stay. The hotel is very centrally located in Lakeside and on a clear day, you can see the top of Fishtail peak from breakfast! When we took two small trips (to Chitwan and to Poon Hill), the hotel staff safely stored our luggage for us. They will also organize any day trips and adventures that might interest you. They helped us to buy our bus ticket to Chitwan and have us a discounted price as well. We had a great stay here and would stay here again! Highly recommended.
Cheerful Attention to All Our Needs”
We chose the Hotel Travel Inn for our stay in Pokhara based on its positive Trip Advisor reviews and we were glad we did. The hotel is well appointed for its budget price. The rooms are comfortable and the hot water always available. We were disappointed that the power was out for most of each day but we assume the city, not the hotel, is responsible for shutting off the electricity. Fortunately the hotel generator provided power for one light in the bathroom and bedroom of each unit. Also the free wifi remained available during the blackouts. The thing we most appreciated at the Hotel Travel Inn was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The cheerful manager, Mr. Damu, asked us if there was anything we needed every time he saw us. He always had a smile on his face. He was helpful in arranging taxis for our excursions and clearly answered all of our many questions. Mr. Rishi Bhandari, in the travel service office was also a big help. They have a thorough understanding of what tourists are looking for. I do not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Travel Inn to travelers who want comfort and attention at a budget price.
Extraordinary service/Comfy Clean”
This hotel is situated about 3 minutes down a lane from the lake. It is in the midst of all the good restaurants. I had a mishap while trekking and the staff and management have done everything in their power to make my stay here as pleasurable, given the circumstances, as possible. They have gone well beyond any expectations in helping me. It is hard to imagine a hotel in the US or Europe going so far to assist an unlucky traveller. The rooms are fresh, airy, and remarkably clean, with comfortable beds and nice finishes. Most rooms have amazing views of snow-clad mountains. Some of these rooms have 280 degree views. There is a lovely courtyard garden in which to relax. These folks helped me with arranging trekking, tickets, and virtually everything I needed. And there is none of the pressure you feel in many places around Pokhara. This is the place to stay!
Lovely clean hotel with friendly helpful staff”
This hotel was a lovely suprise - very clean, friendly and welcoming - we planned to stay 2 days and extended to 4. Our room looked out to Annapurna on one side and to the Lake on the other. Location was also good being right in the centre of Lakeside but also about 100 m off the main road so noise is not a problem. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this - we would stay here again if we returned to Pokhara
Don't have bad things to say”
I've made the right choice to stay in Travel Inn while visiting Pokhara. Everything's A OK, from the room (it's clean and spacious), the staff (very helpful and friendly), the location (it's very close to shopping and eating area, but not noisy), and the high speed wifi connection. It's too bad that I didn't have the chance to try the food from their restaurant. Thanks Damo and everybody at Travel Inn for making my stay worthwhile.
Great staff and spotlessly clean.”
Hotel Travel Inn provides great value for money with its clean and pleasant rooms, very welcoming reception staff, convenient central location and views to the mountains. Only negative was that our bathroom had no shower curtain and the floor drain was dagonally opposite the shower outlet resulting in the entire room awash with water after showering.
Great air conditioning, Terrible Internet”
This is a very upscale hotel for Pohkara. I'd been on the road for five months and was treating myself to some much-needed air conditioning for the final two weeks of my trip. (Most budget/backpacker hotels go for about $5 a room, this one was half off at $22/night. There are apparently only two hotels in Lakeside which have air conditioning - it was pre-monsoon and exceedingly humid [early June]). Supposedly the U.N. stays here when they are in town - *very* difficult to believe because this hotel has the slowest Internet speed anywhere in town! (Top speed is 11 Mbps; every other budget place has at least 56 Mbps and most of the restaurants have 100 to 135 Mbps). All in all the Internet was virtually useless at the Hotel Travel Inn. (My background is in computers and I just could not get it across to the manager how very poor their Internet speed and signal were. (He really got taken by the fellow whom had just installed this very-out-of-date wireless router and then came back and "checked" that it was doing fine!). The Good: excellent air conditioning most of the time (except when it was really hot and the A/C wouldn't work very well, e.g. late afternoon with sun beating down on the A/C unit; great and very friendly staff. $22 is very expensive for Pohkara but it was well worth it to me. Excellent location. Nice views (note some rooms are substantially larger than others). The Bad: useless "Free Internet" - slowest in town and signal very poor mid to upper floors (even with the slow speed and poor signal their router was still only available about 15% of any day!).
clean, friendly, great service”
This hotel had everything i was looking for after trekking for 3 weeks, and just before heading back home. Everything very clean, laundry service, friendly and helpfull staff, even a security guard. The few times that i was struggling with something (how to open the door, how to carry 2 backpacks) i was immediately interrupted with a friendly "can i help you with that?" The location is very central in Lakeside Pokhara, but just with enough distance from the nightlife to get a good nights sleep. Beds were just right! At least the one I slept on!
Adventurous, cheap, laid back city”
All 3 of us enjoyed the stay very much, we had a great time and it was by far the cheapest place to stay with a good rating in Pokhara. In addition we could arrange straight at the hotel our trips. Really the only drawback was that we found the rate for the world peace agoda hike (1800 NPR) a bit overpriced as the guide was more or less paid for leading our way, but we did not compare with other agencies so we just went ahead. Maybe also the towels could see renewal, but for that amount of money it was fine.
Fantastic value for money.”
I do not believe that there could be a better place to stay in Pokhara for the money. Excellent Value, wonderful, helpful staff, lovely clean rooms, most importantly hot water all day. Wifi good, quiet, amazing views from rooftop. When I come back to Pokhara This will be my first choice of place to stay.
nice staff, clean room, comfortable bed”
worth it! it's popular so better to book, after we went to trekking yhere were no room available so needed to move to other hotel. think they have best internet in pokhara. very clean room and comfortable bed, ok breakfast, very helpful staff. highly recommand!!
lovely hotel and service with a smile”
good position, very nice rooms and clean.the staff is friendly and helpful.we stay there 9 days and it was exactly what we want.the area is quiet and the view is amazing in the morning you want to stay forever there.you will not regret if chose travel inn.
Basic hotel, but with wonderful staff”
I was a little underwhelmed when I first arrived. This hotel was the Lonely Planet's top pick for the mid-range budget range and supposedly the hotel of choice for the UN. While our room was relatively clean, the standard room did not come with heat. It also didn't come with hot water, and we could feel the mattress springs in our backs. Mind you, the room only cost US $25 per night and an upgrade to the deluxe room which featured heating and hot water would've been a meagre extra $10. The lack of hot water is just something you'd like to find out at check-in, not after you've unpacked and got ready to hop in the shower. On the positive side, however, the hotel staff was absolutely great. They followed up on each of our requests promptly and with a smile. A hair dryer, clean towels and extra blankets were delivered to our rooms immediately and at no extra charge. This was a welcome change from the previous hotel in Kathmandu, where they wanted 200 rupees to borrow the hair dryer. When we were too lazy to move to a deluxe room, they let us use the shower in there for free. Wifi and breakfast was included, and as a nice final gesture, the hotel did not charge us for the extra muesli and yoghurt I had added to the standard selection. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at the Travel Inn. Whatever the room fell short of, the smiles and wonderful attitude of the staff made up for it. Namaste!
Comfortable with super-friendly and helpful staff”
the room was plain but comfortable and clean. the water was hot enough for a shower, although i like it a bit hotter. the staff will arrange anything for you - excursions, treks, taxis, side trips- you name it. the location is right near the lake but off the main road so it's quiet. there are little markets right near the hotel to buy what you need. plenty of resaurants near the hotel, some with live shows in the evening. lots of little shops selling souvenirs and crafts. the wifi service was a bit iffy at times, but there's a place just down the street with broadband. i was very happy with my stay there.
Great relaxed stay and clean hotel”
Had a great stay for a 4 nights with a Poon Hill trekking and 2-day rafting in between. Leaving luggage behind is no problem. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms, beds and bathrooms are tidy and clean. Location is top, just a minute away from the main street near the lake with all the shops and restaurants. Hotel provided nice services for organizing trips, we booked rafting and paragliding through their office.
Nice bed and shower ; great location ”
Splendid! Nice staffs, thanks Dhamo! Travel Inn location is near great restaurants, so it's nice for us. One of hotels with great shower too
Great quiet place close to all the action”
The staff are very helpful and the place is very mellow. The breakfast is tasty and they take good care of the place and there is a family feel to how it's taken care of. They also take care of your bag if you're going away trekking and they have good advice of how to take it all that Pokhara and its surrounds has to offer.
Clean room, Centrally located”
The room was a bit small and dated, but clean. The hotel was very centrally located, just a block away from the main drag and easy walking distance to Pokhara Lake. There are lots of good local and tourist restaurants in the area.
