Not what expected.
Location was good next to a lot of shopping and food. The exterior and lobby are quite charming with updated furniture and decor. That's where charm ended. Our room was quite tiny, not at all what was pictured. We could get over that as we were just sleeping there. The bathroom, however, was so small it looked like they got half price for half a sink. Shower and flooring needed to be updated though clean. Our room had the barest of furnishing and little to no decor. Flooring could probably use an upgrade. Bed had just bare minimum with two sheets and small pillows. On top of that we could hear EVERYTHING our neighbor was saying in her own room not even talking loudly. And- heads up- parking is $55/night. I'm used to expensive city parking, but that is incredibly steep especially when we thought we were getting a good deal on a room. Also, no A/C. Luckily we had a blast in San Fran and this did not rain on our parade.

The welcome was poor . The male receptionist was not the most welcoming .
2 Receptionists on the Friday evening 16 th and later in the week a bkack man i didn't get his name were most unfriendly officious and the former had more to do with his computer than personal service . Having said that great room great housekeeping and the concierges should be employed as reception staff for their warmth and helpfulness.

The expensive hotel in goods area but bad facility
We just stayed last week in San Fransisco and stayed in Union square. The location is very good, but the staff, the atmosphere in the lobby is not good. The room is a little dark. And the rate is expensive.

Awful Room
This hotel was shockingly overpriced for a tiny room with no windows. I was advised they were full and it was the only room they had - no excuse it should have either been cheaper or compensated for. A very small, dark and sub standard offering. Would not go back and there is much better in the city for the price.

Nice hotel in good location
Hotel is in good spot, Like everywhere in San fran its crazy expensive for what it is. Rooms are tiny but have everything you need. Could here the party in the room down the hall most of the night. Took 40 mins for the one guy on the desk to check everyone who showed up in. Other than that standard hotel

Union Square, San Francisco
the Concierge who is knowledgeable, the location which is at the the terminus of the cable cars in the heart of the city. Clean and spacious rooms. Tea and coffee facilities in the morning, and happy hours in the evening. Free internet access.
No breakfasts provided
Apart from the lack of breakfast facilities, this is a jewel. It is central to the main shops, the cable car service and other public transport. The Concierge is excellent - a wealth of knowledge. The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. The provision of coffee making facilities and happy hours give it an extra touch I thoroughly recommend it.
