great little hotel with fantastic breakfast time ”
This was my second trip to Mandalay and the 2nd time I stayed at Hotel United. I like the location - close to Mandalay Hill and also close to the Palace Moat. There is a lively market on the opposite side of the street and an up-market supermarket/mini-mall 2 minutes walk towards the Palace Moat on 19th Street. Breakfast has a wide choice and the view from the 7th floor dining room onto Mandalay Hill is great. The staff are friendly and helpful and smart looking too. The hotel is very good value for money and a comfortable place to stay.

Very noisy place”
With a pagoda behind and a firestation in front this is one of the most Noisy place in Mandalay. Just imagine that every 15 minutes (yes 1-5) a bell rings day and night. While the staff is so nice, the place is not Worth the requested price, one of the highest among hôtels in the same range and location.

convenient location”
Staff are friendly. Room has wall sockets located at odd places and extension cords are needed in order to use them. Breakfast variety is limited and not impressive.

Nice clean hotel”
The room was clean and we could have a good sleep. View from the breakfast venue was something and I enjoyed very much. In front of the hotel, there is a load market. There are numbers of restaurants nearby the hotel, but I felt it is little distant from the city's central area.

OK hotel. Be aware of annoying noisy neighborhood”
Clean, nice breakfast, good location
Very clean. Quite modern. Good buffet breakfast with nice city views. Shower has no curtains, so bathroom will be flooded after shower, but it looks like this is quite normal for Myanmar, especialy for budget hotels. Can't say that it is very central location, but you can walk to the Royal Palace, Shwenandaw Kyaung, Atumashi Temple, Kutodaw Paya. For Mandalay Hill better grab a taxi (though it is not far away). Neighborhood is something in between of village and a small town also interesting to have some walk and looks safe in a day light. Big minus - some temple next door. We had to listen to prayers over the loudspeaker. It lasted until quite late hours. But overall it was OK. By the way we found new and big supermarket not far away (on the street to the Royal Palace). Nice place to by some food, vine and fruits. Good prices and very clean. Thai restaurant next door was OK (but nothing special) for dinner.
