Choose the Minion-themed hotel in Osaka for a fun stay near Universal Studios Japan. The hotel's excellent location within walking distance is a plus. The staff provides exceptional customer service. Rooms are trendy, spacious, and squeaky clean with playful Minion-themed decor. The hotel is perfect for taking memorable photos and has unique shops on the ground floor. The dining options offer diverse, reasonably priced Japanese-style and fusion cuisine.

With my son who is 6 years old. In the morning, after leaving our luggage and completing the check-in procedures, there was a cancellation for the Minion room. We were offered an upgrade for 15,000 yen, and since it was my son's birthday next month, I went ahead and requested it. Even at 11 years old, he was excited about the Gru's sofa and missile-shaped bed, so it was great. They also left a birthday card a bit early, which warmed my heart and relieved my fatigue. From our room on the Universal side, we could see Mario in the distance, the park after it closed, and the loading entrance. In the morning, I wondered if we would see people waiting to enter or cast members heading towards the attractions all at once. It was fun to see them scattered like spiderlings. The bath is in a Japanese style with a bathtub and washing area, which was relaxing. There are no Mario-themed souvenirs at the shop below. There is a Lawson convenience store at the neighboring hotel across the crosswalk. It is very crowded after the park closes. There were no issues with cleanliness, and I had a very comfortable stay. I recommend it as a budget-friendly option for nearby hotels.

Recently, no matter which hotel I went to, there were many foreign staff members, which often made communication difficult and led to frustrations due to a lack of seemingly standard services (even at Westin and Sheraton levels). However, every staff member here provided perfect service, and I had a very comfortable and enjoyable trip without any worries or complaints. Regarding the room, there were plenty of outlets, with three by the bedside and one by the TV stand, which was incredibly convenient. We stayed in a room for four people; usually at other hotels, they would provide extra beds, but those beds are typically more basic and not very comfortable. However, all four beds here were the same, which felt fair, and I was able to sleep well! The fatigue from playing in the park was relieved. To get from the station, if you take the road before Universal CityWalk, you arrive immediately. Both the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were very delicious. If heading to Universal from the morning, I was really grateful that I could switch to the dinner buffet for the price difference. For breakfast, there was a fresh orange juice machine, which felt luxurious! I stayed for two nights and was able to fully enjoy the Universal 1.5-day pass! I would like to express my gratitude to all the hotel staff for making this a wonderful trip.

The hotel’s location couldn’t be better for visiting Universal Studios Japan—it’s just a short walk away, which made getting to the park super easy. Booked the carribean themed room, room is quite big, has interconnecting rooms available for big families and it could comfortably fit 3 people per room. The view is really pretty facing the port. The hotel lobby is Minion themed, really cute. Location is a short walk to USJ, just to note when walking to the hotel the first time, dont walk towards the universal city, there is an exit beside the station that leads to the hotel. There is also a lawson is the opposite hotel, Hotel Universal Port Vita. I will stay again when i visit USJ.

“A Great Hotel for a Great Trip to USJ”
As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They held our baggage until the room was available. Phil allowed us to experience a little bit more of Osaka before we started our day at the theme park. The room was very clean, and had a direct view of the approach to the front gate of Universal Studios. That way when we woke up at 6 AM, we were well prepared to start seeing the amount of people that were headed towards the entrance of the park. And since it was a walking distance (less than five minutes to Universal City area, and the front gate) we were able to make it back to our hotel room in record time at the end of a very long day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who loves to see Minions as soon as they walk through the front doors.
