Classicall Simple but Beautiful Boutique Hotel”
I chose Hotel Vicente located in F. Torres St., Poblacion District, Davao, because of great review. It lived up to my expectations. It's a classic white boutique hotel. The rooms are very clean and decent with Filipino design and nice curtains. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the front road. The price is very affordable yet you get a good-sized room and they even throw in free breakfast. It's a very basic breakfast -- 1 viand, rice, eggs, bread, butter, and coffee -- but it is as expected for the very good hotel rate you are getting. Elevator and aircon works well. It's about 20 minutes away from the airport. Taxi costs around P100 only. Airport licensed taxis cost more (P350-500) but you can try the taxis belonging to Mabuhay & Maligaya companies on meter (P100) rate. Davao is a pretty safe place because of their Mayor's strict disciplinarian role in keeping the city peaceful.

Excellent! One of our best accommodations in a very affordable price!”
One of my best accommodations we have stayed in! Here's my review: Price - I got their Vicente room at a very affordable price, our actual booking is 5D4N but due to our flight we have to checkout early (4D3N) but it doesnt matter, still the price is really good. Room - thou its quite old but they maintained it so well, very clean and fine with our family of 5 members. Bed and sheets - white beddings with comforter, clean, i did not experienced any itch. Aircon - Quiet and very cool! thanks to the comforter, it compliments to its coldness. Buffet breakfast - Simple, but delicious, i really love pineapples, it was really sweet. CR - upon our arrival it was quite stinky, i dunno if was just the ventilation but as time passby or after we used it, the smell changed or should i say we got used to its smell, hehehe, clean. Staff - they are very polite, they immediately attend to our needs as in, by the time i called them for a request and just less than 3 mins. they are on our door knocking and handed our request. They maintained the cleanliness and orderliness of our room, i dont need to request for cleaning, it was their SOP to clean the room everyday. Kudos to the staff for your job well done! Hotel Vicente - Near the road, very beautiful hotel, i highly recommend this place. Excellent!

Awesome hotel”
Hotel Vicente made me feel like I went back hundreds of years to the Spanish regime in the country. The facade of the building is awesome. Staff are way beyond extraordinary and helpful. Free breakfast is not that much but enough to jumpstart your day. Location is excellent because it is in Torres Street, where majority of food establishments are located. The only downside is the unreliability of its Internet connection. If the hotel management can fix this, then Hotel Vicente can easily become the most-sought after hotel in Davao City. Five-star experience for the price of a 3-star hotel.

Dear Dexter, I apologize for this late reply. Anyway, thank you for your comments. We appreciate both the kind remarks and the comments about the internet. Just so you know, we have not stopped improving our internet service. In fact, we upgraded to Fiberbiz of PLDT with speed up to 200 mbps. When a guest experiences a slow connection, 90% of the time, PLDT is the reason. Sometimes, the router or the extender needs to be reset on the guest's floor. Of course, the layout of the rooms, with cozy corners and angles makes the transmission of the signal not as easy as in a totally symmetrical hall of rooms. Nevertheless, we shall continue to monitor our wifi connectivity and study how to make every guest happy about it during his stay. Next time you stay, please let me know directly if you encounter any problem and I will personally see how I can help. I also stay at the hotel and I use the internet as much as the guests. Modern minimalism with old-world Filipino luxury”
A cozy hotel tucked in the middle of the city, Hotel Vicente seamlessly incorporates modern world convenience and old-world Filipino charm. Great food (Davao longaniza is my absolute favorite), relaxing atmosphere, clean rooms, polite and efficient staff. A touch of luxury without breaking the bank.

Excellent”
My 3rd stay here, and my only option whenever Im bound for Davao. Food is great! Guests should try their Pomelo Shrimp Salad! Me and my friends also would like to acknowledge Kuya Jeffrey from their Cristobal Restaurant, for being so kind and accommodating and lively! Their room attendants are friendly, rooms are clean, if only I could give 10 star rating for the cleanliness 😅 Time extention is only 100php per hour. The only drawback is that the hotel didn't have any pool or bathtub, but nonetheless we will always stay in this hotel 👍👍👍

Excellent”
staff is very welcoming. location is excellent: it is along one of the busiest streets in Davao (very near to good restaurants) but i didn't have any problem with noise from the traffic. breakfast buffet was basic but sufficient. room was spacious and well-maintained but on my first night, i saw a small cockroach crawling on my bed. the hotel should consider making their pest control & extermination schedules more frequent. that was my only bad experience though so overall, I still recommend the hotel, especially to business travellers.

Dear Angelica, Thank you for your comments. Glad you had a comfortable stay despite the roach experience. We take pride in the hotel's cleanliness but somehow these insects find their way into the rooms every now and then. (Through the sewer?) We shall, of course, consider your suggestion, although we do spray the room with pest control solution after every check out cleaning and we have an outsourced regular pest control service. Nice business hotel”
i stayed at the hotel vincente for 4 nights and was quite comfortable for the entire stay. it is a business hotel so there is no pool or other entertainment, just a small restaurant and lounge area. the hotel is very new, clean and fresh. the room was quite and big enough for two easily. nice modern bathroom, good water pressure both hot and cold. aircon very effective. the restaurant is okay for a meal or two, but nothing special. the hotel is close to malls and businesses downtown, which is why i stayed there. if i travel again to davao alone i may very well choose this hotel. if i travel with my wife i may chose a hotel with a swimming pool, just so we can get outside. the hotel is on a main road and so can be a little noisy. ask for a room at the back, or better yet bring your earplugs because of the roosters and dogs!

The Best Hotel in Davao”
Hotel Vicente has super friendly staff. Their breakfast was delicious. The balcony room I stayed in for 14 days was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I would stay in this hotel again next time I'm in Davao. The entire hotel was very clean and all the furniture were brand new.

Overall good hotel”
Having read past reviews, I already adjusted my expectations for a balcony room. So the moment I entered the room, I knew I made a good choice. The design elements were tastefully thought of and the room does not feel cramped despite its small size. All throughout my stay the place was very clean and service was great. The only downside for a balcony room really is the street noise. If you're a light sleeper, this could be a problem - you could be better off with the superior rooms at the other side of the hotel. Other than that, I felt like my stay was great value for the price I paid (48% off).

Classic, clean, friendly staff”
I booked for a twin bedroom with balcony. Nice room, I like the classic design. The hotel staff (from front desk, guard, to the food attendant) were very accommodating. Would love to stay there again when I visit Davao next time :)

Great place to stay ”
I like staying here because on one corner from hotel there is laundry, and on the other is very good travel agent to purchase airline tickets or packages. The staff is very very friendly (one of the friendliest I have ever encountered). Very near to Giasano Mall. Rooms are value priced if you book thru online companies like Orbitz, Agoda, Hotels.com, etc. Breakfast is very good. Free wifi is very reliable too. Only cons are the floor in room could be cleaned more often. Also they only give you 2 small bottles of water and charge for any extra water. But I solve that problem by going to little store across street or 7-11 about 100 meters away. I would recommend this hotel to everyone to try. Also close to airport.

Pleasant stay”
This is our third time to stay at Hotel Vicente. As usual the room was clean and the staff was very accommodating. Checking in was fast and we were given a higher floor room as requested. As our departure flight was late afternoon, I asked for late checkout and front desk was gracious enough. This has always been my first choice of accommodation in Davao.

very comfortable”
Being a smoker in a non-smoking location, the hotel offers a few rooms with balcony. Unfortunately these rooms were all taken during my stay. Rooms were very clean and really enough for all my needs. Staffs are approachable and well-trained. Proximity to all major locations is good. I just hope that they maintain the same discounted price i got through out the year.

Good service, good location but pricey food”
My friend and I enjoyed our stay. We arrived at 8am at the hotel and we we're checked in early, no questions asked. The staff were very helpful in booking our tour around Davao. The food was however a bit pricey for Davao standards.

Nice little hotel”
This is a nice little hotel on the main road. Close to my business appointments in town and central to malls and close to the airport. It is a budget hotel, no pool or bar, but it has a restaurant (dinner was good, breakfast was not good) and a small lounge for a glass of wine in the evening. Being new, the facility is very presentable, clean and orderly. The staff is mostly well trained although the dining room needs more experience. The room was good...very comfortable bed, flat screen free wifi that worked most of the time. Bathroom is small but new, clean and tidy. Good water pressure both hot and cold. It is very likely that I will stay here again for business. If I bring my girlfriend I will not stay here because there is nothing to do (no pool or beach or casino etc). My only complaint is that the hotel is a little noisy (tricycles and roosters and such, but that's part fot the course in the Philippines...bring ear plugs and no need for concern). Also...good security and always a taxi at hand.

Excellent service ”
It is a new hotel which is abt 10 min from the city ctr. It gives a country feeling yet with modern facilities. Staff are with fantastic attitude to serve. There is a jazz joint next door with one of the best music & food. Recommend the roast pork rib - succulent & tasty. Easy access to public transport.

WELL WORTH ITS PRICE”
The room I chose for 2 nights was a basic one - very comfortable single bed with very clean sheets while its bathroom is spotless. While it lacks a mini fridge and kettle, the room is more or less very conducive for a restful sleep. Theres issue with internet and its speed. The best time of the day to pick up strong signal is early morning when most of the guests are asleep. Theres plenty to improve in the complimentary breakfast. The hotel should offer guests with something else other than the usual everyday fare. Its ambiance is nice and frontdesk people were very accomodating. Overall a nice stay.

Thank you for staying in our hotel and for your kind comments. Regarding the internet, we have recently upgraded our speed to 200 mbps since the advent of fiber optics in the city. Perhaps, the router or extender in your area needed to be reset at the time. Kindly, inform us next time you check in when the speed is not up to your expectation.
