Best value for money in Tacloban
Great Hotel. Poor Gym”
Very nice hotel. waited too long for my room to be ready and I did arrive late afternoon also. I booked this hotel because I enjoy to use a gym, however this gym was tiny and nothing much worked which needed power. For example the treadmill was i n desperate need of a service as the belt was slipping badly and did not work for me. Breakfast was nice and the room was great.
The location of this hotel is within the city wherein shops and restaurants are nearby. Public transportation is accessible. They serve a free buffet breakfast with plenty of food choices. We noticed that the room assigned to us was not properly cleaned as there are visible stains on the floor. The kids were excited to use the swimming pool at the rooftop, only to find out it was under maintenance so, we were not able to use it even on the next day.
I love XYZ. The first thing that impressed os the good smell as you enter, then the ambiance. The new & clean towels impresses me too, unlike the other hotels that they give old & dirty looking towels. I also love the room - the good smell and it is neat & clean. I love The Fyzz, The QKitchen & The ABCD Cafe that serves good & delicious food etc
They booked our reservation not on my specified dates.”

I got your email address on a simple google search. If not, my aplogies , please disregard and dont read the email below. I have no intention of reporting this incident if your staff did not mess up with our reservation TWICE. First, was our booking then just this noon our shuttle reservation. May 1 around 10:50Am Me and my wife checked-out after an overnight stay. We asked the staff for the schedule of festival parade, 1 male and 1 female was on frontdesk and give us the dates after confirming with their calender. I suggested to my wife that we book a reservation for 2 nights with 1 specific day which coincides with parade of lights. Both friendly staff assisted us with our booking and asked me to fill up a form and requested for an upfront payment as to secure the booking. Even before leaving the hotel we asked for assurance of the booking as we will be bringing our 3 kids to Tacloban for their first festival experience. June 26 I was trying to locate an XYz receipt as I was unsure if our booking would start on the 28th or 29th. After giving up, I called up the hotel and asked for the dates. I got upset and disappointed upon receiving a response with dates that I never booked. We were given dates of July 30 to July 2, instead of our preferred dates June 29 to July 1. Initially I was calm, as there might be a parade on June 30, I asked if the there was a parade on the 30th, a staff named Marnelle politely answered "none". I asked her if she was looking at a computer or at
This was just for one night. We were expecting to be in around 7pm, but Cebu Pacific was behind schedule as usual. We didnt arrive in Tacloban until 10:30pm. Our transfer shuttle was waiting for us and was very helpful with our bags. The price because it was after 6pm was 250₽ per passenger so 500₽ for my wife and I. Check in at the hotel was very fast and easy. We even got a room upgrade. A very nice suite that was better than most apartments I have seen here. Very clean and comfortable. A/C works phenomenally. Very large tub in the huge bathroom, but no bubble bath. The body gels provided gave decent bubbles and allowed my wife to relax in her first ever tub experience. No antislip devices on floor of tub so placed a washcloth on the floor of tub to decrease slipping. Bed is big and soft with 4 huge soft pillows. Breakfast was a buffet which was delicious. It was a god mix of Filipino and American cuisines, fresh fruit and cereal. The staff here is very friendly and accomodating!
Great stay in the heart of Tacloban”
The staff were very helpful. Great dining choices in two restaurants and the café - I ate at all 3 and the food was great as was the service. The morning buffet breakfast offered many choices. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
Excellent... Almost everything”
Excellent staff! I don't usually mind if there are problems with the hotel, if and only if the staff are there to fix the problem. There were a few issues, like the safe not working, and arriving to a room that was not a queen bed. The staff made sure to fix these problems with haste. The food was excellent. Nice variety of breakfast buffet, and fair portion sizes. The prices are a little on the more expensive side however. The restaurant on the roofdeck is a nice touch, but having dinner there can be on the loud side. It seems they are mixing two different atmospheres in the restaurant. Great entertainment with live music, but it is too loud for engaging in conversation with tablemates. The hotel has massage, small fitness area, laundry service and a tiny pool. For those who smoke, roofdeck accommodates your vice. Wifi is very spotty. My room had a very poor signal, and I had to rely on my own data. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Tacloban.
Worth the money!”
Great stay! Nice hotel, serve as well! 🥰
Amazing experience from its location, the cleanliness of the room, the friendliness of all staff, having a great facility with separate restaurant, coffee shop and lounge at the roof top...
5 stars great food
When In Tacloban...”
Clean, modern hotel with excellent dining options, including included breadfast. Located in middle of bustling urban area but easy to get around. Tacloban has a wealth of eateries, bakeries and nice small shops. Not yet overrun by massive shopping plazas. Only minus (and a small one) is an undersized exercise room. Staff is great.
Good hotel with central location”
Good hotel in central location. Small rooms with low ceiling height but very well designed. Clean rooms with excellent shower. Great breakfast, with good selection of foods. Staff are very courteous and friendly, always enjoy my stay at XYZ.
Value for money”
Hotel staff were veey accommodating on our request. We had to change our booking to an earlier date and they helped us to adjust and even upgrade our room as we have small children with us. Thoer customer service is superb. Rooms are clean and linens are fresh. Their spa is to die for! Highly recommended!
Fabulous as always! I have stayed at xyz four trips now, and it is amazing. I absolutely love it. ”
Food is excellent- the breakfast buffet, the coffee bar, and ohh man, the “Fizz” on the 9th floor is a dream. I’ve tried a ton of dishes, and all were great. The desserts in that hotel are incredible, and I’ve tried them all too. And it’s all reasonably priced too. And there’s a great view, and a great pool on the 9th floor outside the Fizz too. It is a super cool place! Rooms are clean and great too, with mattresses that are to die for. The staff is extremely helpful. Whoever owns and/ or manages this place really knows what they’re doing. I’ve stayed in other places in Tacloban, and they don’t come close to the quality of anything at the XYZ. Bruce Cawthon, Dallas, Tx. USA
Good location but facilities can be improved”
The hotel is in a good location. It is situated at the heart of tacloban city. Hailing a tricycle is easy and the main road is just a 10 minute walk where you can catch a jeep to take you to other parts of tacloban. The hotel is also near van terminals. The best part of this hotel is the buffet breakfast! Bacon everyday, fried rice, bread selection, danggit, champorado, arozcaldo, fish, sausage, omelette (upon request), cereals, fruits, salad, etc. If breakfast is your favorite meal, this is the hotel for you. The staff and front desk are very helpful. Don’t hesitate to approach them when you have needs. The room is satisfactory. It’s a bit dark even if there is lighting. It can be attributed to its interior design. The linens were a bit off-white but it smells fresh. The bathroom is ok. Hot water is working perfectly. Some cabinets in our room are damaged and can be noticed of you open them. The hotel has a bar and pool at the 9th floor. They’ll give you welcome drinks on your first night. We didn’t claim it though. The pool needs a filtration system them though. We wanted to take a dip in our first morning but decided not to push thru after seeing the hazy water. We got disappointed in the pool as this is the reason why we booked this hotel. Good thing they have great breakfast buffet which compansated for the pool. There is also a spa located at the 4th floor. Nuat Thai is their service provider. Wifi in the rooms, of course. Overall, I’d say it’s a good place to stay. Definitely not a budget hotel.
Excellent hotel with fantastic food and the rooms are very clean. What makes this hotel special though is the staff who go out of their way to help you. One lady on reception completed my online flight check in for me.
Good hotel, the breakfast buffet has good variety of choices, staffs are friendly and nice. The manager is always accommodating which is great. The location is in the heart of the city. Lots of establishment around. CONS - every morning make up room is a pain. We have to call everyday to ask for a towel or for the housekeeping to clean our room. Upsetting.
They have great food we love the most with deferent type of causine everyday in deferent country they served and buffet have very nice food everyday they change the menu amazing I can say and very delicious with friendly and understanble staff great place to stay we love it and there pool is nice for my kids until next stay
Excellent hotel. We believe it to be the best value in Tacloban.”
Excellent value and great staff. I loved the breakfast buffet but I like an American breakfast - strong coffee, fresh fruit, eggs to order, bacon, hash brown potatoes, and pancakes/waffles griddled while you wait. The restaurant offers a good variety of foods/cuisines from Filipino to Chinese for lunch and dinner. However, don't expect fine dining or an expansive wine list. We had a fabulous room with another queen bed in the loft, which allowed accommodation for another family couple. Only one bathroom though, which although we expected schedule challenges, proved inconsequential. When in Tacloban, we ALWAYS stay at the XYZ.
