Good hotel in a good location. Food is very good. The rooms can use a bit of work, esp the bathrooms need a touch-up and carpet needs to be changed. However I would stay here again as the place has class and service is good.

It is definitely not a 5 * property, at most 3 *. Hotel old, rotten door, mold in the bathroom, smell on the corridors. Small dining room, no sitting place in the morning, slow staff. The hotel was a great disappointment for me.

Great customer service at the club room”
I highly recommend Khin. He did out of his service after knowing we are they for a stay with our family of 8 by waiting for us to be back to check if we have any requests for extra drinks/refreshments in the club lounge. The housekeeping staffs are also very friendly and accomodating to our requests.

The neighbourhood is good for shops, restaurants . Easily accessible. The hotel is quite old and it’s evident but cleaned well and spacious. Breakfast plentiful but taste needs improvement. Room service portions very generous and tasteful

Convenient location ”
Hotel is located within 10mins walk to the Thamel shopping area. Breakfast was great with a wide spread of local Indian and Asian food to continental varieties. Room was comfortable for 2. The water pressure and hot water was most appreciated after a week in the mountain!

i just love our stay there. The area is just located within the city proper, a walking distNce from spas and restaurants, the breakfast is absolutely delicious, the room is clean. The only bad comment i can say is their internet connection. We were not informed that the complimentary wifi is limited for the number of devices. and the toilet flush is not working very well. Otherwise, thumbs up for their other services.

It was very nice to stay in that hotel, the location of the hotel is very good coz it near from the airport and near from the mall of isia and near from the city center.. The hotel is very clean and comfort, the food was very good,, overall it was very nice to stay in that hotel.

when we arrived we were upgraded to a deluxe twin room, rather than the queen bed we had requested. They mention that a room with a 'big' bed may be available later on. This turned out to be an upgrade to their 'business' suite on the same floor. The upgrade was unexpected, being a great way to start our trip in Nepal. The reception staff were helpful with all our enquiries.

Enjoyed returning to stay at the Yak and Yeti hotel. I used it as a base before travelling outside Kathmandu city. Staff helpful and happy to store my luggage. Excellent shopping and restaurants nearby ,and a short walk from Thamel, or stay in and enjoy the charm of the hotel

Booked this hotel through Agoda. Was rated 5 star Hotel. Since we were travelling with small kids, cleanliness was a big concern but unfortunately, we regretted once we arrived at this hotel. We even cancelled the final 3 days booking at this place. A big NO! NO

Disappointed and overpriced”
Had been looking forward to visit this hotel for years. Found it overpriced and run down for cost. No free wifi and breakfast not included. Rooms were very hot and staff not able to cool them down due to limitations in environmental control systems. Sadly will not visit again.
They charged me for the usage of hotel room WiFi, they finally agreed to waive the charges after my long argument with the Manager. It is not acceptable to charge guess for WiFi access at a 5 Stars hotel, even coffee shop by the roadside offers free WiFi for their customers. Anyway, the hotel is good and the peoples are nice, I will not stay in this hotel again unless there is free WiFi access I will be visiting Kathmandu again in March 2018, my company will be hosting a 2 days International conference there. May consider another hotel

Great Place To Stay”
First trip to Nepal, so after the Visa On Arrival, extended time, lack of understanding on my part, get your bags, then locate the Hotel Staff waiting across the street in the dark, we headed to hotel. Not a long journey, however dark and streets not busy. Surprise I got a room upgrade, from Heritage Deluxe to Jr Suite, Thanks!! Room was fabulous, large a well appointed. Only issue, some moldy smell, amplified when you opened the closet, behind toilet side of bathroom.. Ordered room service, burger was very tasty, hot and delivered quickly. Breakfast was good reasonable selection of items. Had dinner 2 nights buffet or from menu provides good choices. Location not too isolated, near King's Way, short walk 8 minutes to Palace, 15 minutes to Thamel. Would have been nice to have ATM, on hotel grounds. Something about arriving late, poor street lighting, looking for money in strange place. Near midnight most staff goes home, and the the lobby area lighting gets reduced.

The hotel is a well run, establishment with a host of professional and attentive staff - nothing is too much trouble and all you have to do is ask - do enquire about an upgrade or book a shangrila club room , which has access to the club room facilities and the personal attention, of I’m sure the hotels, most valued staff .
