Beautiful building”
Lovely old building with character, very clean rooms and good service. The hotel is right in downtown Yangon, and the staff are helpful. The only downside is the steep wooden stairs, beware if you have heavy luggage or old legs.

Great place!”
Wonderful room. It was clean and spacious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location was ideal for exploring the city. The Wi-Fi was very good, and the air conditioning worked well.

Affordable, clean and great service”
Great location, reasonable price and good service. I booked the room with breakfast and I enjoyed the breakfast set (not buffet). I definitely go back to stay for my next Yangon trip.

Great location and renovation but beware of stairs ”
The rooms are modern and clean, very good for the price. Breakfast was also really quite decent. Only negative is there are very steep stairs so I would not recommend for older people. Excluding that, I would definitely recommend!

A well appointed hotel, close to many great places worth visiting. . ”
Friendly and helpful staff, generous breakfast menu and a clean, relatively small front bedroom. Our room was at the front of the hotel and quite noisy with the commuting traffic but we got used to it. A kettle, with tea and coffee would improve the room rating. Very steep stairs to access hotel and shoes are requested not to be worn in the hotel to preserve the carpet! Easy access to some great walks, The Old Quarter, Little India and Chinatown all within walking distance from the hotel. Plenty of places to eat at various prices and cuisines within walking distance. Taxis available for sight seeing further afield but negotiate price first and check with hotel as to acceptable quote. A take away breakfast bag was provided on request for our early start to the airport so only had to buy a coffee! Would recommend this hotel if looking for a good value for money place to stay.

Nicely decorated, converted old building. Excellent breakfast, great location & good value. Only negative is that front rooms suffer from morning street noise.

Good”
Billed as a heritage hotel, aside from the lack of lifts (necessitating a steep climb to the top floor), there is not much of a heritage feel to this hotel. Our grey brick room had no views and was distinctly musty. The bathtub had a shower, but no shower curtain, which seemed odd. Compared with other hotels we had stayed in in Myanmar, the room was small. On the plus side, the breakfast was excellent and the location close to Sule Pagoda was ideal for exploring the downtown area.

Character in the heart of the colonial center of Yangon”
Character and charm in a refurbished colonial building, very close to the Duke pagoda and with easy access to the main sights, markets etc. and great service too. The steep steps may daunt a few, but the staff rush to carry your bags. Good breakfast too. My one concern was the lack of fire egress; the only way out being the roof if the way down were cut off

Excellent”
Some road noise compensated for by view of Yangon & its traffic. Bit miffed that restaurant menu had no prices. Beer a little expensive. A/C worked well. Breakfast good. Staff friendly.

Great customer service ”
The hotel is strategically located near everything! It was really convenient. Customer service and staff was great and helpful. The only issue is the stairs are pretty steep and it’s gonna be a chore if u live On the upper deck. The staffs will be nice enough to carry ur things up though. It was a pleasant stay

Nice and classic design”
Pro: The interior design is nice and classic. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast sets are delicious with road view. Bath tub is available in twin room. Con: Steep stair so not recommended for people who have difficulty in climbing stair. Hot water is difficult to adjust. Some TV channels are not working properly. Room is a bit smelly due to the old wood cabinet.

Exellent location and staff but poor sound proof window, especially those facing streets.”
Avoid street view rooms even though they have better space and sunlight. In fact, we asked the staff to shift us to a room with a window facing the next building but we could still hear the noise from streets though it was much better. The hot water also took a long time to become hot enough and the flow was weak. The location of the hotel is great and the building itself is wonderful but if you need a sound sleep, you'd better choose a new hotel.

Very good stay, but attention to the road noises”
The hotel is very nice and the rooms are very confy. I had chosen a double on the main road, so it was my fault, and, how i could think it was impossible to sleep. It was not due to the traffic noise, but only because there is besides the entrance a bar or restaurant and there was people sitting and screaming in the road for the major part of the night. This was really a pity as the hotel is really nice, staff friendly and location is perfect!

Very helpful staff, charming rooms. Unfortunately the room we had (family room) did have windows, but no view(wall of neighbour building). Besides this, it is near to Sule Pagoda!

Nice botique hotel, great location”
If you don't mind a hotel with no lifts, this is a good choice. Charming hotel in an excellent location (near Sule Pagoda, Yangon Railway Station, and a couple of malls in the area). Nice and helpful staff. Really good breakfast.

Small, cozy, hotel in nice old building”
Simple and almost spartan, in a good way. No lift (elevator) so must walk up the stairs. Mattress nice and firm, room has small desk, nice large wardrobe, large bathroom. Took a while for (just a bit) of hot water for the shower. Location is excellent, and staff are friendly.

Stylish hotel in bustling downtown Yangon”
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our trip and liked this hotel a lot. It is not for the faint-hearted though, I should say, with its super-steep stairs which almost feel like you are climbing up or down a ladder, LOL. We liked the room, the staff and the little breakfast/bar on the top floor. The location allows for a lot of exploring on foot as you are close to many attractions as well as restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately there was some major road construction going on immediately in front of the hotel this March (2017), meaning stepping outside you were greeted by the sound of sledgehammers often times ... aside from the typical craziness of Yangon street life! Nonetheless I would stay here again, because while in the hotel none of it was bothering us and it was a great hotel.
