Amazing service”

It certainly was a pleasure checking in at the Hotel Zero in Montreal. After a very long drive, I was swiftly checked in and made aware of all of the amenities available during my stay. I must give the gentleman checking me in major kudos. I believe his name was Ryan. Hotel Zero is lucky to have him. He switched from french to english without a hiccup and treated everyone with attentive professional service. In my case, since I have never been to Montreal, he spent at least fifteen minutes going over all of the neighborhoods to visit, along with his recommendations for the restaurant and bars in each. In addition to providing me with a map, with his directions included ,he wrote down all of his suggestions on a separate piece of paper. He also engaged other Hotel employees for their advise. When going back to Montreal, I will be staying here again. Ryan thank you for your patience and professionalism. Robert

Great location, they were able to accommodate our request for a high floor with a nice view. ”

Very convenient location. For what we wanted to do.... walk around Old Montreal, shop, and eat meatless meals with gluten free options. Rooms were cosy but perfect for my 21 year old daughter and I. Very comfortable bed , but might be a bit small for someone over 6 feet. My only minor complaint is that I could hear a “swooshing” sound at night that I realized was the elevator, even though our room wasn’t near either elevator. It was subtle, but I was glad my room wasn’t closer to the elevator. Overall it was a great value for a clean downtown Montreal hotel, and I would definitely stay there again.

Great location”

It's boutique style hotel. The rooms were clean and stylish. The staff were very nice and responsive. Location of hotel was key for me. It's walking distance downtown/fidi/old port of montreal and other attractions. Locations of bus stops made it easy for other areas. Would definitely stay again if I'm back in the city. Only negative note for me if it matters for other people. The ice machine was in the basement only.

Best Location! Great Value! Exceptional Customer Service!”

Rooms were terrific! As others have stated, they are small but packed with everything needed--fridge, microwave, coffeemaker. Bathroom was perfect and accommodating. Bed was comfy. I was able to hit the IGA daily to stock up on water, lunches, snacks. etc. Metro station was minutes away so I could travel between downtown and old Montreal. Will definitely stay there again.

Great place. The rooms are hip lofts with comfy beds. I wish they had king beds though. The staff stored our bikes, valet parking was not extra, and everyone is very friendly. The hotel is uniquely situated within walking distance (or biking) to Old Montreal, bike paths and markets. We will return.

Good location”

We booked this hotel for Heavy Montreal, as well as to do some touring around the city. All-in-all our stay at Zero1 was a positive one. Our room had a kitchen sink (which proved to be useful), a fridge, espresso coffee, microwave and plenty of storage. The shower was quite small, so my partner in crime who is 6'4" had a difficult time navigating. The bed was a double bed, not a queen, so again a bit small for my boyfriend. The bathroom sink was completely clogged when we got in, so my boyfriend took apart the P-trap under the sink, cleaned out all the gunk and reassembled the plumbing, while realigning the sink plug mechanism. Him taking it apart also fixed the leak. As far a cleanliness goes, it was ok, but we take our own cleaning products when traveling so we cleaned all surfaces before moving in. The location is fantastic, just blocks N of Old Montreal, 1 block S of the club district and the Metro. We had to pay for valet parking. We would stay there again.

Did an overnight to spend time in the Village. Super close walk to St. Catherine’s Street and the Gay Village. Parking was not bad! $28 from when we got there at 1:30PM until 5:30PM the next day! That’s like $20 US Dollars. Not a bad deal at all! The staff was friendly. We splurged for the rooms with the living room area. Well worth it! Had a great view of the city for some great people watching. We would stay here again for sure!

Newly built hotel at a great location ”

Great value for the money! Location was excellent, everything was within 5 minute walk (bars, restaurants, Chinatown, museums). The hotel seems to be new, everything is clean and fresh, and the design is very modern. Both checkin and checkout were fast. The rooms are on the smaller size but very clean, tastefully decorated and have everything you need including microwave and coffee machine. The design is very futuristic if you’re into that stuff. Bathroom had everything you need (shampoo, hairdryer etc). The only thing I really hated was the tinted mirror in the living room. They also have a huge patio deck on the 5th floor. The gym was pretty small, needs some free weights.

Good Hotel, Excellent Staff, Some Problems”

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel staff are fantastic and the hotel itself was really cool and unexpected. Industrial design with lots of places to sit down and relax. I loved the fifth floor patio. The rooms are mostly black floor to ceiling with white accents - bed, light fixtures. The downsides were the Wi-Fi, which was really flakey, and the outlet in the bathroom didn't work so fixing my hair before the conference was a bit mysterious.

Great service, staff is cordial. But the room was very small. The shower can really fit one person. Hot water takes time to come. The view is beautiful. The room is practical, microwave and sink available. You have to like the modern refine "épuré" style. Good italian coffee machine and it was clean! It made my day!! Although we found the room to be small we had a great stay. We paid 94$ per night. Good price for downtown mtl.

good location and nice staff - too bad about the elevators”

After some exploring I went for a nap before my first meeting having been up all night on a red eye. It was only then I discovered the unbelievable whizzing sound of the elevator shaft that was near my room and pretty much nonstop. Impossible to sleep. The receptionist very kindly helped me find a room and made every effort to keep me on the same floor to keep the hassle of moving to a minimum. I had paid for a loft and my first room was great; the sitting area felt separate from the sleeping area; lots of space, airy, good view etc. The room I was changed to was around half the size but the same category so they managed to squeeze all the same amenities into half the space, rendering the sitting area useless so it was essentially a standard room so that was pretty disappointing. I could still hear the elevator though it was less obvious and I was able to sleep. Keep that in mind when booking unless you're a very sound sleeper. Otherwise good location and nice staff

A bit of a stingy experience”

The hotel is in very modern/simplistic style. Everything is minimum, including the lighting, the service, and the amenities. The room is dark and the walls are painted in dark grey. If you’re visiting in winter, you might not want to spend much time in the room. The amenities are scant and it’s very difficult to make hot water from the espresso machine in the room (no kettle available). The bed is on the softer side (my husband felt some backache the next day). The location is right between China town and Red Light district. If you want to explore China town, this is an ideal location. I chose this place because there aren’t many hotels available for me to use my Agoda cash, but I wouldn’t go if I have to pay the full price.

Didn’t get a room on highest floors like I was supposed to.”

Our room was on the 4th floor right where there is the big « poster » outside, so our windows were hidden by it. Also, we were pretty much in the street... not much intimacy. Plus, the sofa wasn’t very clean when we arrived (there was white spots on it). We asked for another room, but they said all rooms were booked.
