My original booking was meant to be a few days earlier, however the catastrophic typhoon hit and we were forced to rebook our flights. The garden area in the courtyard is beautiful, so much so that I didn't mind having to stand out there and use the only smoking area. Nice way to get around some very strict anti-smoking bylaws. The restaurant regularly does international themed buffets, and I was lucky enough to be there on Indian night. Spectacular food! A bit pricey for a buffet, but certainly worth the quality you get. The only issue was the lack of other customers enjoying the buffet, which meant low turnover in the food trays, and by result some items were more dry and overcooked, others cold from sitting out so long. Conversations with staff at the front desk were always superb, both for recommending local attractions, answering questions or offering any type of service you could want. This hotel understands customer service and excels most in this area. Would return without hesitation!

One of the best experiences in Davao was our stay in Seda Abreeza....really enjoyed my stay in Davao coz of my comfortable stay in Seda. That was the agreed tour itinerary. But on the day of our tour, the tour agent told us that our rate was only for ONE Countryside and the rest is for City tour (as agreed by the agency and the hotel). We were not informed about the CHANGE of plans so we had no choice but to add Php500 just to avail the complete Countryside tour when supposedly that should have been our itinerary. Anyway, that was the only concern. The hotel amenities, location and cleanliness are tops!

The bathroom includes a bath tub which needed to have another look specifically the water stopper because it wasn't really working well. I would have wanted to enjoy a hot tub but I couldn't save water. I didn't bother to call and have it fix during my stay as I was already tired to wait for someone to take a look at it -- so this is for your future guests. Overall, it's worth the money staying at TRMH. Thank you.

We were led to our rooms which were already prepared even if we got there a few hours before their check-in time. I appreciate that fact that the entire hotel is a non-smoking building. Cleanliness was clearly observed from the lobby to the common areas and rooms. The rooms we got were small but it was no big deal since we only used it to shower and sleep in. We were out exploring Davao almost the entire day. Water pressure was adequate and air conditioning was working well. There is an lcd tv and phone in every room. There are no tea making facilities and ref in our rooms but they provide one in the lobby. There are spacious common areas per floor with good wifi signal. Even though there is no restaurant in the hotel, there is a canteen on the 1st floor which serves affordable and delicious meals. Public transport was readily available and the hotel location is near the wharf and some malls. The absence of a lift maybe a challenge for those with heavy luggage and some people with knee problem. Lastly, I would like to commend their lady guard who helped us with our luggage (up to our rooms located on the 3rd floor) and hailed public transport for us whenever we needed one. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. I highly recommend this hotel.

We haven't experienced ordering their food since we ate at a local resto outside the hotel. If you are in the city for business purposes, you may need to bring your own wifi device since the wifi is only available at the lobby. Also, phone signals are somewhat low on our room. Having said that, I still recommend the place if you are on a budget and want a clean and peaceful place to stay.

We could swim, go order our dinner, swim some more, eat dinner when it was ready, then swim again after eating. I was satisfied with the quality of food in both hotel restaurants. Wi-fi was not available after the power outages, but the business center has a Linux computer for guests to use. The center also has an ethernet cable if you prefer to use your own laptop. The staff was helpful and friendly. On my second morning, I went downstairs and asked for my breakfast buffet ticket so I could go eat. The lady at the desk handed it to me and my name was already hand-written on it. So I guess she knew my name. I was impressed. I plan to visit Davao again and I plan to stay at Grand Men Seng again. And I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Alu hotel is very conveniently located at the Davao city center. Just beside the hotel is a coffee shop and several restaurants you can choose from. A few blcoks away is the aldevinco shopping center where you can buy sarongs, malongs, and a lot more locally made products. A few more blocks away are fruit stands where you can buy all the different fruits locally grown ...Alu hotel is very conveniently located at the Davao city center. Just beside the hotel is a coffee shop and several restaurants you can choose from. A few blcoks away is the aldevinco shopping center where you can buy sarongs, malongs, and a lot more locally made products. A few more blocks away are fruit stands where you can buy all the different fruits locally grown in davao. So even if i was just there for a day, i was still able to buy some stuff for my family and friends back home. The hotel also has easy access to public jeepneys and cabs so going aRound davao wont be a problem. I would definitely come back there again. I just wasnt able to eat the breakfast provided with my booking coz my flight left at 6am. I asked the receptionist if they would be Able to provide my breakfast at an earlier time but they wouldnt allow it. But the price i paid for my stay was definitely worth it.

Roxas night market, pasalubong center, bankerohan market, aldhevinco shopping center and Gmall are all within reach by foot. So enjoy walking.😊👣 711 is the nearest convenient store which is 3-5 minutes walk (depend how you walk 🚶) For the price, book day before or within the day, it is much cheaper. 😊👍 Before leaving the hotel, you triple check your belongings. Because during check out they will not inspect your room. After you hand over the keys, they will just say that you're good to go. The cleans are room, during check in they have this form, you have options if you like them to clean the room or not. This makes you feel more secure that once you leave the room on day time, they will not enter without your permission. So it's 👍👍👍

i booked a standard and deluxe room for me and my friends. we checked in approx 1pm. we were requesting for an adjacent standard and deluxe room. unfortunately they dont have that type of room. but what surprises me is that the manager offered us to be upgraded to a deluxe and super deluxe connecting rooms! and that is with no extra cost! that is is simply amazing! we ...i booked a standard and deluxe room for me and my friends. we checked in approx 1pm. we were requesting for an adjacent standard and deluxe room. unfortunately they dont have that type of room. but what surprises me is that the manager offered us to be upgraded to a deluxe and super deluxe connecting rooms! and that is with no extra cost! that is is simply amazing! we were even allowed to occupy the first room available even though we are an hour early for check in. we bought a handful of durian and since its not allowed in the hotel, they offered to have it stored in the refrigerator in their restaurant. upon check out they reconfirmed our flight and even called the taxi for us. its really a five star hotel experience!

That, of course, was by no means the hotel's fault and just goes to show that this hotel is most ideal for those who appreciate all things out of the ordinary. The walls of the corridors are covered floor to ceiling in photographs, paintings and sculptures. Not everyone may appreciate the artwork, but the experience of seeing them and how they turn the entire hotel into an art gallery is in itself engaging. The rooms are spartan but at the price they are offered at with breakfast included in the room rate, it is all beyond reasonable. Front desk staff may seem a tad shy but they immediately attend to guest's needs. The owner's sister responded to our email inquiries and she was a delight to correspond with. She even gave us a free room upgrade. Pizza at the restaurant was served with slices of Davao sausages, a flavor profile as unique as the hotel itself. All things considered, value for money is beyond compare.
