Hotels near Bedok MRT Station

Staff: one of the staff was helpful. He changed another room for us without hesitation as the previous room's Aircon wasn't functioning. Location: There r many restaurants nearby the hotel. We took taxi most of the time so couldn't comment bout the journey to the nearest mrt station. Cleanliness: quite clean Facilities: overall facilities r pretty new.. The hotel provided free breakfast. They also gave us 2 complementary free coffee at killney coffee shop located next to the hotel.. wifi was a bit slow though.. Value for money: the room is considered cheap in Singapore.. the room is quite big too.. Overall: happy with our stay. Will definitely come back again..

No regret in choosing this hotel. Katong is such a nice place with lots of local restaurants. Katong 112, a shopping mall with a supermarket is located just next to the hotel, very convenient for tourists. Some might be worried about transport as this hotel is not located near a MRT station. But actually there are many buses (e.g. No.10 and 16) at Roxy Sq. which can take you to Dakota station in just 10-15 mins. Definitely recommended given the price and quality of room & service. Only one negative comment for the breakfast: not much choices and the taste is..... not for me I would say. But you can try whatever breakfast you like in Katong area! Plenty of choice! :)

Since we hadn't booked any accomodation in Singapore for a very long time, I wasn't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by Agoda's one day sale and allowed us to book two nights at Aqueen Heritage for a great discount. Despite the room being small, the cleanliness of the place was welcoming. For mum and I who were used to harder mattresses, plumper pillows, the hotel bed lived up to our expectation. The hotel is situated in a nice quieter neighbourhood with shops with character, worth a walk around to explore. Its a bit of a walk from the local MRT station Paya Lebar.

The Grand Roxy Mercure was a fantasic hotel for a short or long stay and this was our third stay here. The room itself was of generous size, HUGE bed and bathroom with shower and bath available and included toiletries PLUS nice fluffy towels!! Pool on the 4th floor was great, keep in mind the bar is a little pricey in comparison to BYO. The hotel has a large bus stop directly outside (very convenient). Across the road, a hawker style food market which features very cheap delicious food, along with a large shopping centre. Additional to the bus stop, the hotel provides a great concierge service who will call taxi's for you anytime and also provide a free shuttle bus to the closest MRT station and the airport (you need to reserve a spot on the courtesy bus). All in all, a fantastic place to stay for a holiday in Singapore very accommodating and close to everything you need (airport, food, shopping, sightseeing etc). Only bad thing - We sent a suit & evening gown for 'dry cleaning' and 'press' using the hotel inhouse laundry service and received the suit back burnt and the gown still wrinkled (they did refund the ironing cost)- avoid using the laundry service and use your in-room iron and the laundromat on level 4 instead. Definitely would stay there again~~!

I was very pleasantly surprised by Hotel 81 Tristar, its staff, location, and most importantly of all, the wi-fi! My first room had very bad wi-fi reception but after going to the front desk and finding another person there having the same issue the staff put us in new rooms. I saw the other person one evening at the elevators and he said his reception was not that improved but he had been moved just two rooms down the hall from where I was first located. If wi-fi is important to you and you are staying at this hotel, ask for a room with an odd number. I was concerned about getting around but the hotel is between two bus stops with lots of lines stopping at them plus you can walk a bit to the next street to the north and catch a bus to the Eunos MRT station on the East-West line or catch a bus on Changi Road right next to the hotel that will take you to the Circle MRT line which will connect you to every other line in Singapore at the moment. But don't wait around too long to visit because there is a badger infestation in Singapore and they are digging MRT lines all over the island! Between the MRTs and the buses taxis are only needed for a few reasons and if you are young, there is no good reason to need anything besides a trusty mass transit pass. My advise is to get a regular pass and not a tourist pass because you are going to want to come back again and again. The regular pass is for at least 5 years, the tourist pass probably not so long. I worked here for 3 years and have been back multiple times and am blown away each time by what I did not see the time before! And Hotel 81 Tristar rocks. Just do not get it confused with the myriad of other Hotel 81s. They may be good as well but no need to look any further than Hotel 81 Tristar.

We are a group of 4 adults and 3 kids! We booked two rooms: family room and superior room. Both rooms were clean and ok! We arrived at the hotel around 1140 and they let us check in early! 😊 The family room was huge and spacious! All the staff were very nice! They granted all our requests for extra pillows and extra coffee! The walls were thin though as you can hear people walking along the corridors. Plus you really need to hail a taxi to go to the mrt station or else you need to walk far! But everything's great! Will definitely stay here again! 😊

Room is tiny but it is clean & nice. Staff is good polite & helpful. Although not near MRT station, you can get bus route 16 to nearest MRT Station Dakota or most of sightseeing point in Singapore (e.g. Singapore Flyer, China Town etc). You may get a map / guild from Hotel. There is 24 hrs supermarket & 7-11 just next to the hotel, and there is many self-service landary nearby. Local food shop / hawker centre is nearby. No karaoke noise from outside but you can hear the noise if somebody speak loudly or play in corridor. Veune hotel will be my pick list if next time I visit Singapore again.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. It was F1 weekend when I came and all the other hotels were severely overpriced. I was surprised that Santa Grand East Coast was offering such lovely rates and booked a stay here instead. The location was fantastic in a quaint neighbourhood that is not too busy and have many lovely eating places surrounding it. The shuttle bus from Katong i12 Mall comes every 15 minutes and shuttles passengers to the Paya Lebar MRT. You can also choose to walk to the nearest bus station and the other MRT station is just 1 to 2 bus stops away. I will most definitely stay here again. Love the spaciousness of the room and bathroom :)

We were very happy with our stay in this hotel. I cannot recall why we chose Katong as our base for our stay in Singapore but it turned out to be a good location. The hotel was very clean with nice decor, the staff was friendly, the room was nice and we got pretty good value for our money. The pool on the top floor is also nice. The closest MRT station is quite far however there is a bus stop next to the hotel and you can go anywhere including Raffles Place, Orchard without having to transfer. You can also find quite a few good restaurants and cafes and breakfast places next to the hotel. In summary, we had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. .

3 stars only for location, but for people who will use public transport like us, location was not an issue. Bus stop is just a few steps away from the hotel entrance. Nearest MRT station (Dakota) is just 4 bus stops away. Some minor suggestions on your next time to renovate the hotel: install bidet on your toilet seat, and lighting on your mirror inside the toilet. Pull out drawers on your table top will be a plus.

I quite liked my stay at the hotel 81 Sakura- it was quiet and I was able to sleep in without too much disruption. The rooms were very clean and well stocked with supplies you might need. The beds were quite hard though which made sleeping uncomfortable at times. The rooms are very small, but that didn't bother me too much. I didn't care for how cold the rooms were kept and how muggy, hot the bathroom was. Switching between the two was odd. But I did love the location of the hotel, near to many cheaper restaurants and about 10-15 mins walk to the paya lebar mrt station. It's far from the city center but is a great location for the first day or two acclimating to a new country.

I loved my stay in this hotel. I stayed in the room with the bathtub which was outside the toilet in the room itself right next to the bed area. You could have a nice soak in it while watching the tv. The bathtub was cool-looking too. Loved the concept of the room deco. Very pretty and spacious, had a sofa and a little coffee table too. Even had a little balcony. The room came with an evening cocktail reception for 2, which was so classy. We could choose from different alcohols and delicious pastries and cookies to go with. The ambience of the reception area was very nice. Hotel was located near different shopping malls like Parkway Parade and Katong 112. Many eateries and shops just opposite the hotel which were really good. Katong laksa was just across the road. Only thing was it wasn't nearby an MRT station, but you could take a bus from Dakota MRT to the hotel. We had a night swim in the pool in the night after dinner. The pool area was great too. What I didn't enjoy very much was the breakfast in the reception room. I reckon breakfast was different from the breakfast served to the people who stayed in the ordinary deluxe/superior rooms. I expected much more of the breakfast since it was served in the special reception area but the spread was very limited. I thought the breakfast in the reception area could be improved. On the overall I enjoyed my stay and I would return again if given the opportunity for another staycation.
