Central Palace Hotel
District 1,Ben Thanh Market - View on map
"The location was perfect, facing the Independence Palace, 5 minute walk to CBD and Ben Thanh market. Breakfast was reasonable. A bit of noise coming from the restaurants nearby but it was OK to us. The only complaint was that the wifi speed could be improved. We stayed for a week and had an enjoyable time. Recommended."

Silverland Yen Hotel

"I choose this hotel based on price, location, and it had a pool for relaxation. From the moment we approached the entrance it was opened by the door man with a big smile and welcome. The Front desk personal were very friendly and processed room reservations (we had 2 room for our 4 person party). The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, in room safe, refrigerator, cable TV, etc. And the beds were so comfortable. While checking in they invited us to come down for the afternoon tea. They had tea, and more! Lots of tea and coffee choices, but to our surprise they also had a huge selection of treats to choose from and live music playing. The morning breakfast is not in the continental style-- there was eggs, sausages for sure, but also many other choices to choose from, the fruits were very good. Check out was easy. We recommended this hotel to a couple of other travelers we met earlier in the week on a Ha Long Bay Cruise. The location is in easy walking distance to many of the city tour destinations-- Independence Palace, The old Cathedral church, Post Office and about a 2-3 minute walk from Ben Thanh Market place. The ladies in our group enjoyed getting a facial at a near by spa arranged from the front desk. You will like this place! "

Cochin Zen Hotel

"AMAZING !!! From check in to check out 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service. 1 minute walk to Ben Thanh Market. Centrally located to walk, scooter or cab all parts Ho Chi Minh. Good sized rooms, roof top pool with an incredible view of the city. Extensive/delicious Buffet breakfast, High Tea and mini bar are all included in your room rate. I could go on and on about the hotel amenities but the real gem in this place is the customer service. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I had a mishap with my phone and Mr. Max along with the rest of the Alagon staff helped me remedy the situation. Had I not had their help and patience I would have never been able to figure it all out. You can bet I will tell all I know who travel to Ho Chi Minh that Alagon Zen Hotel is where they should stay. From Mr. Max to Ms. Quinneth and the rest of the Alagon staff (unfortunately I did not get everybody’s names), THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU/ cảm ơn bạn, cảm ơn bạn, cảm ơn bạn. "

Rex Hotel Saigon
District 1,Ben Thanh Market - View on map
"We got to the hotel quite late, so weren’t so keen on traipsing around at that point for a drink. Thankfully, after a smooth check-in, we found that the rooftop bar was open till about 2am so we managed to get a couple of drinks before bed. The room is clean and quite comfortable with all the amenities you would find in a good 4 star hotel. The breakfast buffet, was a decent spread of asian and western options which will keep you going till late afternoon. There is wifi through out the hotel, but it worked best at the roof top bar so you can put off your roaming and still be connected to the rest of the world. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the service at the bar/restaurants was pretty decent. When you do go out, you might need local currency and if you haven’t had the chance to exchange it, worry not because you can do so at the reception at a very good rate. The best aspect of the hotel for me was the location. The hotel is situated in the heart of District 1 and everything is walking distance from the hotel. You can find a city map in your room or at the reception and hold onto this for your trip, it’s very useful. Ranging from 5 to 20 minutes you can reach, the Ho Chi Minh city museum, War Reunification Palace, the War Remnant Museum, Notre Dam Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the Opera House, Ben Thanh market and even the riverside for a nice evening walk. You don’t feel like eating in the hotel, there are plenty of nice restaurants spread around the hotel ranging from local vietnamese pho to exotic french cuisines. There are quite a few bars around if you do take the effort to locate them if you want a good mix of the locals and expats. I however enjoyed drinking at the rooftop bar for nothing else but the fact that I was just knackered by the end of each day and didn’t have the energy to go out drinking. Everything is reasonably priced within the hotel as well. PS: Carry a bottle of water while you're out."

Lucky Star Hotel 146 Nguyen Trai

"Don't think twice just book it. Felt like a home away from home with the fabulous and attentive staff. Kieu (as seen in photo) and Hiên went above and beyond to help me with whatever I needed and became more friends then anything else. The men that worked the door were also great and the cleaning staff did their jobs extremely professionally. I stayed for 2 weeks (my brother then joined for another week) in a room facing the street and I couldn't have been happier. The room was very spacious and the bed was large and very comfortable (not like other hard mattresses often found). Also the room was very clean (cleaned meticulously daily), had a good working aircon and the window overlooking the street was just huge which I loved. It was also quiet when the window was closed. Big selling point for me was also the big rainwater shower. It is 2min walk to Ben Thanh Market and Bui Vien St (nightlife), but just far enough away to be peaceful. Minimart 150m away. Bang for your buck. Thank you"

Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint Hotel
District 1,Ben Thanh Market - View on map
"It was great experience. We got free upgrade to executive room in the last minute due to full book in our previous selection. The room is cozy, modern with HDMI cable built in, clean and the view is great (we had the view of Ben Thanh market area and Grand Theater). There is newly operated CGV cinema in 1st floor with all the latest movies and late shows - so its absolute convenient. Walking distance to Ben Thanh market, War museum, Independence Palace and all the sightseeing in HCM. Staff is friendly (we got free cool welcome ice cream when checking in) and helpful in explaining all the room facilities as well as hotel facilities. The hotel looks brand new. The only downside is that we booked the wake up call at 7.30am for the next day in order to go to the airport and no one called us in the end. Luckily we have our phone to do so. It would have been a 5 star experience if this didn't happen. Anyway we will definitely recommend this hotel :)"

Hotel Continental Saigon
District 1,Ben Thanh Market - View on map
"This is a grand old hotel built in 1880, and run by Saigon Tourist state agency. We stayed in a junior suite which was huge, well furnished in a classic style, and well appointed. Each room has individual wifi which is a big plus compared to those hotels that advertise wifi, but the router is way down the corridor, and you can't reach it! The hotel has spa, massage and gym facilities, but no swimming pool. Buffet breakfast is excellent, and staff are helpful and courteous. Hotel restaurants are fine dining and a bit pricey, and not well patronised. Not ideal for tourists, but there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in Saigon. The hotel is situated nest to the Opera House in the uptown part of District 1. Close to a couple of large upmarket shopping centres. Its about a 20 minute walk to the Ben Thanh market and downtown backpackers area which used to have some great cheap cafes, but it now looks quite seedy and uninviting compared to our previous visits. I suggest you choose a room with a balcony, facing the Opera House, and on the right hand side of the hotel to avoid traffic noise. "

New World Saigon Hotel
District 1,Ben Thanh Market - View on map
"New World Hotel is a 5-star hotel. Hotel is in walking distnce to the famous Ben Thanh Market where around the vicinity has many restaurants and other eating places, so you won't get hungry easily. There is also a night market starting from 7pm to 11pm every night outside of Ben Thanh Market. There is a great pool and fitness center in the Hotel. The staffs are friendly and the check-in and check-out is fast. High speed internet access is provided for Lan cable as well as Wifi in the room. We all loved the many varieties of the buffet breakfast that is provided. The room that we stayed in is spacious to accommodate an extra bed and the bed is very comfortable. Even though the bathroom is not so big, but it is well layout, hence you don't feel the crampiness in it. Hotel is also near to some place of attractions. Overall, the stay is an enjoyable stay, not only the whole atmosphere but the the food is also great. I will stay again when coming to HCMC."

M Hotel Saigon
District 1,Ben Thanh Market - View on map
"The price was too good to pass up and try out this new place right across the mall in District 1. This building looked like a commercial office/storage converted to a hotel. You can tell from the lift and the doors to the room. It is extremely modern looking and the only beef I have with this place is the washrooms. The toilets are in the showers together, so splashing the water everywhere and then needing to use the toilet after isn't the greatest. If you can overlook this minor detail, everything else is fine, excellent value for the money. "

Au Lac Charner Hotel

"This place is walking distance to a number of places, including Ben Thanh market and Takashimaya. Lots of good eating places around. The place itself is decorated beautifully, staff are friendly. The pool area has great view over the city and night lights. It's nice they include afternoon tea and live music. I have to say the food (dinner) needs massive improvement. You're much better off trying the local food but we didn't have a choice one night due to a typhoon. "
