thistle has a good reception service, and we had a standard room with average view of golf course. thistle has a few restaurants and bars; cumulus, steps, fresh, chinois and glass. we had an early dinner at fresh. award winning char kwey teow was really nice, had crayfish and cockles plus killer chilli padi sauce.. total price,. then went for a dip in the pool. we enjoyed chilling out at cumulus after a quick snorkel trip that was booked via the hotel at rm100, the watersports guy took us out on a speedboat to the nearby blue lagoon beach. surprisingly lots of fish and coral, despite not wonderful visibility. cumulus has an infinity pool and only kids above 18 yrs are allowed. woot! however, cumulus had nothing i want to drink in stock and plays from a song list of another era. their calamari also hails from some synthetic origin ... being breaded and deep fried doesn't really hide that fact too! at rm19 its quite a disappointment. on the whole we enjoyed being in a very quiet spot, away from lots of tourists but the beach that thistle is facing isn't very clean. prices in port dickson also weren't as competitive as other parts of malaysia. additionally, the sucky thing about not self driving here is the exhorbitant cab fares to and from the resort. they charge a whopping from the hotel to seremban bus station and to pd town.

This hotel is rather new during my stay there with friendly staffs. Though the room i had is rather small, it was extremely clean and the mattress was surprisingly comfortable. It has everything that you would expect from a hotel with 3 to 4 stars. The only negative I experience I had was that there were a Fun Fair event opposite the hotel with crazy loud techno music and thank God it ended by 11PM. Apart from avoiding your stay there during fun fair, this is a perfect business hotel.
