fantastic. In an amazing location in Saint Germain, amongst tight, character filled lanes and old buildings. Plenty of eating options locally and beautiful shops too. Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help. Extremely comfortable hotel and although road was busy and noisy, double glazing was very effective. Breakfast was perfect and couldn't fault it. Only negative was we found the room too hot and had to open the window when we were in the room

Everything was great. I can't remember the name of the gentleman who was on the overnight shift but he was extremely friendly, and helped me plan my time/schedule to the airports. My room was also very nice, for a single bed and had a nice view of the odeon street. My only major complaint was that the wifi was not working great, in that my phone had no problem connecting but i had a extremely unstable/slow connection on my laptop. Also the room was slightly hot and the air condition didnt seem to work, so it was slightly hot.

I really enjoyed this hotel. My room was very clean, modern and nicely decorated and noise was never a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that the lift is very slow. I loved the location, only minutes from some of the best patisseries and La Grande Epicerie, and many attractions were within walking distance. Try to book dinner at La Cadole, the restaurant next door. I had one of the best meals of my life there and received the loveliest service from the owner. I will stay here again the next time I visit Paris.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Citadines Apart'Hotel Saint Germain Des Pres. We specifically wanted to stay in the Saint Germain area to get that "left bank" feel. We were impressed that when we arrived the reception gave us maps and showed us the best places to eat and the nearest landmarks. Concierge was very helpful. The location of the hotel was fantastic! Walking distance to the louvre, notre dame, and the metro. Lots of dining options near rue dauphine and rue de buci just near the hotel. A supermarket is walking distance from the hotel. Area is very safe and quiet at night. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned very well. Bonus points on the complimentary coffee, tea, and water int he reception. We got more than what we expected. Very happy with our stay. Great service from the staff.

I enjoyed the convenient location this hotel offers, walking distance (15-20min) to St. Germain des-Pres which one of my favorite spots in Paris. Many bistros nearby for a quick bite. Hotel itself feels new and welcoming. I love the wall art decor. On the flip side, room is very small (but expected), bit difficult to put my big suitcase flat on the floor, not enough room to turn around. I wished they have at least a water kettle in the room (no coffee machine/no water kettle at all). Overall, this is still good value-for-money. Thanks.

My husband and baby and I had a fabulous stay at this hotel... it is in a convenient little side street in St Germaine, with many terrific restaurants and patisseries and bars right nearby. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was so charming, beautiful French toile wall fabric, old beams throughout and just enough space. The elevator is absolutely tiny (as you'd expect in a building dating from the 1480's) so expect to make a few trips up and down if you have more than one suitcase! 2/3 of the reception staff were so wonderful... an older and a younger gentlemen, they gave us dining suggestions (with a range of prices), booked restaurants for us, gave us little snippets of history about the building, and tips about the area. One middle-aged (though impeccably dressed) gentleman who worked in the daytime was surly, and quite rude to my mother as she checked out. He insisted on lecturing us and did not go out of his way to be friendly, or productive in his communication. He was typical of why foreigners claim French people are rude! (Which we found to not be true :) However, the hotel was SO lovely that we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Pros: -The hotel is in an excellent location. You are extremely close to the metro and to buses. There are restaurants everywhere, and best of all is the little express supermarket on the right. You can buy cheeses and breads for cheap and bring them with you on an excursion. -The room is comfortable and traditional, while the bathroom has good quality toiletries. (Accept that all rooms in Paris are minuscule. Compared to most, this was quite good.) -The breakfast is not a large selection, but good quality. -Have I mentioned the location? Cons: -The service is mediocre at best. It is inconsistent - it depends on whoever is a the front desk. One guy was helpful, another was a complete tool. Overall: I can get used to a loser at the front desk when it means staying in a lovely room, in an ideal location. :)

my friend and i were two female travellers. we were wonderfully surprised by our perfect our first time visit to paris was with our stay at the royal saint germain hotel making all the difference! the location of the hotel was fantastic. the hotel is situated on a main strip in the very lively sixth arrondissment of paris. this area has many great restaurants and shops, and we loved how it buzzed at night with locals. it is also within walking distance to the montparnasse tower for magnificent views of paris, a galeries lafayette, and to the latin quarter. there are three metro stations to access to get around paris; in fact we caught a metro upon our arrival in paris and found the hotel very easily on rue de rennes. the hotel rooms were more than wonderful. they were a little small but perfect in a parisien way (you can't expect a large space in paris, unless you pay for it!). we received two very large and comfortable single beds (our request had been attended to), and the bathroom was enormous and very clean. the shower/tub combination was also large, and we had no problem with water splashing onto the floor as there is a movable shower screen protector installed to prevent this from occurring. the reception was 24 hours, and the staff we found more than welcoming, friendly and helpful. there was one night around midnight where i required an icepack for my swollen ankle and the man on duty that night attended promptly to our request with any hesitation! you are also able to leave your luggage in the reception storage area before check-in/after check-out. overall, we loved our stay at the royal saint germain hotel. we were sad upon our departure, however we will definitely be back to stay in the future!

For us, it was a risk booking this hotel in advance since it was still finishing renovations at the time of our booking (June 2012). When we arrived in July, however, the rooms and lobby were beautifully equipped. The room was indeed small, however, I was told that this is usually the norm in Paris, especially when it is located in the heart of the city. The room had a wonderful, serene atmosphere with warm lighting. Perhaps the best part of the room was the Tempur bed and pillows which made going back to the hotel at the end of each day really indulgent. The staff was helpful and friendly. They were understanding of tourists and willing to assist the guests in whichever way they could -- from directions to booking an airport-hotel transfer. All in all, we were so pleased we decided to stay in the Legend Saint Germain; we would definitely do so again in the future.

Rooms in Paris is well known for small. The bathroom size was considered big. The room, can't accommodate 2 big luggages. 1 has to be kept inside wardrobe. Room is clean with heater during this cold period. The hotel is undergoing renovation work now, hence it gets a bit noisy in the morning. Hotel compensate with free beverages from 6 to 9plus pm. 😁 The front desk Alais, she can speaks English and provides excellent recommendation whenever I ask her thousands of questions. A friendly and patient lady! Location is considered good, 2 mins walk to metro station. I chose this because it has streets of restaurants and supermarket. Everywhere is walking distant, just remember to wear a good pair of shoes to tour round the city of romance!

Located a 5/10 min walk from the metro in St Germain, easy to walk to Odeon area which is great for couples with lots of cafes/bars etc, much better than Monmartre district. 50 metres away are the gardens and palace of Luxumbourg, definitely worth a visit. The hotel itself very Parisian looking, staff all spoke good english so checking in/out was easy. Room was clean, and serviced daily. Bathroom on the small side (and smelt a little musty), tiny bath but with shower, although overall the room was much better/larger than you would get in London, and great value for the location. Opted out of the €16 breakfast for the lovely bakery opposite. As self confessed hotel snobs, we both would recommend and return here ourselves.

We just stayed for one night here to meet friends before flying home, but great stay! Loved the wonderfully decorated room in blue and white. A little small but perfectly appointed with desk, closet, nice bathroom with tub/shower and comfortable bed. Excellent location in the 6th arrondissement close to lots of shops, eating places (try Cafe Buci!), the Seine, Notre-Dame, right across from a large shopping center and 5-10 min walking to several metro stops. Right around the corner from Boulevard St Germaine so central, but very quiet. Would stay there again and definitely recommend Hotel Le Clément!

Excellent location with plenty of food options within a very short walk, staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was modern and clean. The Subway and Bus stops are a very short walk away. The rooms are very small, but I'm guessing this is a typical Paris thing as space is an issue. With the small room comes hallway noise, so I didn't get the best sleeps. I was in room 13, so directly above the reception desk and near the stairs and lift. But overall a great 3 night stay, with myself and my 12 year old daughter! Paris is AMAZING!!!!!

We loved this hotel we stayed here for 5 nights and we'll be sure coming back if we're ever in Paris! The hotel decoration and garden is beautiful. Staff helpful and friendly. Great coffee at their breakfast. The only downside is that the room is small and if we were a little bigger I could see how it could've been a problem. for us, it didn't matter too much. The location is the best thing (even our taxi driver from the airport said it's a very good location), quiet and safe street but in 2 minutes walk from everything we wanted. Thanks for making our stay fun :)

The Hotel Villa Madame is located on a quiet street only 2 mingles away from the Luxembourg Gardens. Don't let the location on a map dissuade you. It is within a three minute walk of three separate metros and buses that allow you to traverse the city without easily. It is a five minute walk to the heart of the Saint Germain District. More importantly it is a one minute walk to a fabulous bakery that the regulars line up at to get their morning pastries and bread and again at 3.30 when the children finish school. By 6:00 PM the shelves are bare. Runners are in the perfect spot for an early morning run at the Luxembourg Gardens. This hotel is about an 8 minute walk from several major department stores. Most of the resturants in the area have great food wine and ambiance. The staff at Villa Madame were amazing. Nothing was too difficult and they were always there to guide us and offer whatever assistance we needed. The hotel knew it was a special occasion as wee were there for my husband's 50th birthday and we were surprised with a lovely gift of champagne and macaroons on arrival. We did change rooms after our first night as the first one was a bit small, even though the room was sweet, but when we asked for another bigger room the staff went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as possible. a big thank you to Camie, Nicholas, Jules and Frederick for making our visit to Paris to be a magical experience. If we ever have the chance to go to Paris again we will definitely stay at Villa Madame again.

We almost lost a hotel reservation because Agoda messed it up. They had no information about the room (sleeps 3, when we had a family of 4), no refund, extra charges for for an extra person in a room from the original booking price. Then on a day that we were driving to Paris received a warning that hotel can not accommodate us. So Agoda added a sleeps 4 and charged extra into the booking without hotel being aware of it. Great. My french friend had to call hotel, Agoda, because there no refund and have a room to sleep. We were exhausted from driving for 7 hours from the southern France, with two kids, and roomless. With no WiFi on the road and phone card eating up money like crazy. Worse experience booking with Agoda, never again. Hotel manager was super nice, Way to go French People, thank you. He squeezed another foldable bed for one more person, by rotating main queen bed. It was a very tight space we had to squeeze between wall and beds. Considering amount of money we paid.

A great hotel in the best location of Paris. We have travelled all around the city and can definetly say that the hotel is in the best place (Saint-Germain). The hotel can be defined as a boutique hotel, small but a top quality hotel, comfortable beds, good room equipments (hair dryer, ironing, tea-coffee making facilities - teas are perfect), a very delicious breakfast, very friendly staff. I definetly recommend this hotel to everyone !

Our family of three had an enjoyable time staying at this lovely hotel. The staff (we were served by 3 of them but we only managed to take note of Christopher’s name) were all extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. There was a problem with the shower tap in our bathroom but the issue was promptly addressed by the staff by having the faulty tap replaced with a new one. Excellent service. Look forward to staying at this hotel again when we visit Paris!

Best would be the room. It was very clean and every feature works. The staff were very friendly no matter how they get busy, they need the key to the room whenever you go out and I had no trouble getting it back. I was worried at first but I trusted them. Also the wifi was really fast, I uploaded more than a thousand photos when I was there and it was super fast. Very nice elevator, it adds authenticity to the hotel. I will definitely recommend to a friend and stay here again. I am Asian so I fit into the room bathroom etc, the size is just right for me. Very nice location, very close to Saint Germain, Notre Dame, Pantheon, Jardin du Luxembourg, Pont Neuf. Thank you Hotel Saint Pierre for making my stay in the left bank memorable. The Hotel des Deux Continents is in the perfect neighborhood of Paris on the Left Bank: Saint Germain des Prés. Across from a lovely, delicious cafe, Le Pré aux Clercs, and down the street from the world famous Cafe du Magots and Le Bonaparte, there are plenty of places to sit with a coffee or glass of wine to people watch. You are minutes away from lively streets, Notre Dame, and Musée d’Orsay. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions, calling taxis, storing luggage and more. It felt very Parisian, yet modern at the same time. We will definitely be back!

We had the most wonderful experience with the hotel. It is a beautiful boutique typical French hotel in one of smaller inside streets but right around the corner of larger ones w/tons of cafes, restaurants, shopping. It was just perfect! Our room 52 was simply gorgeous: nice updated bathroom, lovely French decor, balcony & breathtaking views of the city rooftops. We stayed 6 nights. The room was cleaned daily & in perfect condition. There is so much to do in the area: Luxembourg gardens - 10 min walk, several metro stations right around the corner. It’s very easy to get to the hotel from Charles de Gaulle airport by taking Train from Per B right to Port Royal station - super convenient location. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. We loved complimentary drinks/snacks in room & afternoon coffee/chocolate/snacks in the lobby. Everything was just perfect! Thank you!!!

The hotel locating between Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Odeon, and Mabillon stations and is very convenient to go anywhere in Paris. There a see many restaurants and boutiques around the hotel and even supermarket. Only a small problem was that they do not provide hot pot and coffee or tea so you need to run to a cafe if you really need some caffeine to relax your busy day in Paris.

Room initially was fine, small like you expect in Paris but with the best part of the city just outside your door. We were pleasantly surprised to turn up at 12 pm to find our room ready for us. (Make sure you go to the Petit Belloy and not its 4 star big sister across the road, the Hotel Belloy). But we were unpleasantly surprised by a shower that did not drain, flooding the bathroom. After 2 days the hotel got a real plumber in and lift got a little drier. Also, the breakfast served is very complete but at 15 euros is twice the going rate. Better to forage in the neighbourhood for brekkies. The main staff person we dealt with, Pierre Antoine, was super helpful. The others, meh. I would definitely stay here again, especially at the great rate Agoda got for us.

A friend and I visited Paris in early December 2016, and we each had separate rooms at the Hôtel Left Bank. From check-in to check-out, we found everyone at the hotel to be extremely helpful and courteous. They were gracious on arrival when we were jet-lagged and our French skills still fuzzy. Desk staff were always helpful with our questions about the city and sights. Our rooms were tidy, clean, surprisingly quiet given the street noise below, and warm on some chilly nights. We took a chance based on online reviews on a hotel we did not know much about and were very happy with our stay. Location is amazing, centrally located, and easy to venture out from. I would happily stay here again for a visit to Paris! Our thanks to all the staff there who add to the atmosphere.

Located in Saint Germain area this hotel offers recently renovated rooms. Despite check in is only 3pm we have been able to get a room early in the morning as it was available. Staff was friendly and accessing easily to our requests. Easy access by metro. A good place from where to begin the exploration of Paris. We did not chose to eat in the hotel so cannot judge this part.
