" I stayed for 3 nights here, one night in the deluxe twin, and another two nights in the cozy superior. Both were decently sized, rooms were clean, there was basic amenities and also a coffee machine. Rooms were mostly quiet and devoid of street noise which was brilliant, especially since the streets below were extremely busy. Deluxe twin room toilets were great, but the cozy superior not so if traveling with another person as the toilet had room- facing glass panes instead of hard walls. Though there were pullable shades, these do not provide complete cover. Staff service was great, courteous, and we were provided with glasses of juice while awaiting completion of the check in process. Overall a wonderful experience, and exceeded my expectations quite a fair bit. My commendations to the hotel and staff for making our experience a great one. "

"We booked for a balcony room (executive deluxe), however when we arrived we were told there were no balcony rooms available. When I queried this, they happily upgraded us to their Liberty Suite which was fantastic. It had a seperate sitting area , and a balcony at the front of the hotel. Location is right in the middle of the tourist district, and near bars, restaurants, and tour companies. Staff were always friendly, spoke a reasonable level of english and always tried to help. They were also more attentive than many hotels in Vietnam. Breakfast - Fantastic, HUGE choice, both western, asian, and continental. Served on the 9th floor, and we sat on the terrace overlooking the city. Very Nice. Restaurant - On 9th floor, again, very good food, attentive staff, and reasonable prices sitting on the terrace under the stars watching the chaos below. Security - Good, they had 2 or 3 security guards at the entrance every time we went in or out, but they were quite unobtrusive. Bar - Mmmmm...strange one this, as it is not really a family bar in a tourist hotel. You need to go through 2 doors and the blackened glass makes you wonder. When you enter, the bar is staffed by 10 ish Vietnamese young ladies wearing quite revealing uniforms, and while the atmosphere was good, and the girls friendly, it was a bit offputting seeing old Asian men pawing at the girls. I think a bar like this is ok for businessmen, but I know my girlfriend was a little uncomfortable in here, and she's no prude :P"

"We stayed at Cicilia Saigon Hotel and Spa after reading about 100s of reviews on various sites. Since I was taking my mum and sister on a trip for the Christmas holidays I wanted a hotel close but not right in the midst of all the buzz. Cicilia is a 5-minute walk away from the madness of Bui Vien, ten minutes from Ben Thành market and 15 minutes from the War Remnants Museum. It’s perfect! Great coffee shops all around. Including a Starbucks if you’re interested. The staff are great, the breakfast in the morning is more than sufficient and few things tend to change everyday which made it interesting since I like trying new stuff. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS A BUDGET HOTEL. So don’t waltz in expecting 24-hour room service, a mesmerising view and all the bells and whistles. That being said, it’s a boutique hotel and it’s a great great place to stay. I recommend it 100%. "

"We stayed for 4 nights with free spa massage everyday due to hotel's promotion. If you like a quite area and near centre, this is the place. It takes 5mins by taxi or motorbike to Ben Thanh Market,10mins to main shopping malls,10 mins to Bui Vien streets with lots of entertainment. Breakfast is good enough but not Pho-the stock need to be added more flavour. Staff are super friendly with beautiful smile. I wonder how could I become their member? That's mean I want to come back this hotel everytime I travel to Vietnam."

"This Hotel is centrally located and easy walking distance to the main attractions of the city including, the Palace, War Museum and markets. Its a short stroll to Bui Vien Street for great food and night life. We stayed for a week at the Harmony Saigon and from the moment we stepped into the Hotel until the time we left we were felt welcomed by all the staff. The rooms were spacious and clean. We booked a couple of tours from the Hotel Tour Desk and Rachael at the desk was friendly, informative and more than helpful in booking us into the things we wanted to do. The prices at the desk were comparable to other tour operators in the city. The breakfast and restaurant areas are fantastic with anything that you would want for breakfast from local food to bacon and eggs. Again the staff were extremely friendly. I would like to thank all the staff, Management, Reception and Bell Boys for making our stay fantastic. I Highly recommend this Hotel "

"We checked into the Duc Vuong for the first 5 nights of our holiday in Vietnam as a base from which to soak up the Saigon experience. It was simply a great hotel. Perfect location on Bui Vien St which, whilst a major tourist thoroughfare, still offer some of the best shopping, eating and drinking around. The hotel is very well presented and exceptionally clean. Sure, there are cheaper options, but the facilities far exceeded that of other hotels we stayed in at only a little extra charge. We paid only $24 p/n for a standard room that whilst small (one got used to stepping over our baggage to get to the bathroom), was perfectly clean and quiet. The rooktop bar has exceptional views over the district. The buffet breakfast is very generous, allowing guests to fill up before a big day out. And for thos inclined to stay in the hotel also offers free dinner. Another great thing: every level has a number of filtered water coolers for guests to fill up their own bottles free of charge. We made good use of this is the humidity. The doorman on the day shift (I regret not introducing myself properly) is an exceptional host, gracefully hailing down a xe om or taxi for you. We booked a 3 days/2 nights Mekong Delta tour through the hotel's reception (My Tho, Can Tho, Chau Doc and places in between), for a staggering low price of $36 per person. I was really knocked out by the tour and we had a wonderful time, staying in a sparse but adequate budget hotel in Can Tho, and a floating hotel near Chau Doc. We stayed at the Duc Vuong again for New Year's Eve and had a ball walking the surrounding streets. "

"Excellent location, close to the park and backpackers area but not too noisy, great breakfast with a big choice. I have stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. I was booking the hotel almost the last minute before my trip started and chose this hotel because it was offering room with a window for a fair price. For the first 3 nights a had a room facing inner yard and it was great, calm, no street noise. After coming back from 2 days trip from Mekong Delta hotel upgraded the room for us and offered a room with a city view. This was nice from their side but it was not real upgrade for me because of the street noise in the morning. The tip - ask for the room to inner yard if you want to have proper sleep, which I think you will need after hanging out during the night. And don't overpay for the city view room, all you need is proper sleep and if you want great city view go to one of those city towers, sky bars for a drink so you can enjoy the view. Breakfast in the hotel was one of the best I had during my 2 weeks trip in Vietnam. Wide choice, tasty, big breakfast room. Location is great, close to all main activities - backpackers area, restaurants, market, ticket booking offices. It is in the centre of everything. Street is a bit busy during the days but not noisy and busy in the night as some others in backpackers area."

"I will break my review down into sections: Room: The hotel is new and clean with good decor and furnishings. The rooms are modern and comfortable, mattresses are firm however I had no issue with this. Air con was effective. Staff: Always friendly, always wanting to help. The concierge booked a couple tours for me quickly and without hassle. Hotel services: We used the airport pickup - we booked a sedan, and we were greeted at the airport by a concierge staff who traveled with us alongside the driver. This is convenient, and although more expensive that a taxi, it was great not to think about where we were going after our international flight. The private car cost us $18AUD each way, the concierge had our luggage out and into our room quickly. We used the hotel spa which was fantastic - more of a massage service. The staff here were so friendly and professional, and the pricing is very competitive considering the higher standard than could be found on the street. Breakfast is great with heaps of options, delicious pho, omelettes and anything else cooked in front of you with a few chefs always there ready to help. Location: The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the Ben Thanh markets, 5 minutes walk to the war remnants museum - quite central. I think the streets appear a bit cleaner closer to the river or just north of Ben Thanh however everything was in walking distance. The park down the end of the street is a great respite from the hectic city!"
