However if you are not familiar in Butterworth, finding this hotel is a bit difficult as there is not enough signboard leading to the hotel.

It’s value for our money,the hotel also located at strategic place just near by to Penang Central,besides the hotel easily we can find convenience store,bank and fast food restaurants...Hotel also provides a parking with guards. Even though it's a 3 stars hotel, it's definitely better than other 3 stars hotel standard room that I have stayed before. I chose it based on reading the review online and it is near to my parent's home and the location in pretty strategic to me as I can avoid toll when traveling by car. Facilities - basic facilities at room - hair dryer need to be requested, other than that, it has safe deposit box,fridge, kettle, small bathroom, soap, daily newspaper (need to request at counter), shower cap, shower gel, shampoo in small bottles which are sufficient for simple traveler. However, the safe deposit box was locked by previous traveler and requested the customer service to unlocked it many times, but still no one comes to attend to my request (only customer service officer can unlock the safety box - probably due to limited customer service staff available). Thus i was not able to use it during my stay there. They have options of both double size bed or single kingsize bed. Carpark - plenty of parking space within the hotel compound (open air flat ground with tar road) Safety - cctv available all over the place. Breakfast - nothing to shout about. Fried Bee Hoon, Fried rice, nasi lemak, fried noodle, toast bread, coffee, tea, free 3 pieces of spring roll with red beads and egg. It's simple breakfast but it was ok. Saw some local outsiders that comes in for breakfast as it was cheap all you can eat breakfast type. Ala Carte lunch or dinner like fried rice etc - this is not expensive food. Food price starting from RM4.50 onwards. From hawker food to western food. Or you want to have cook meal also is possible - ala carte dish. Overall, it was a pleasant stay given the budget price. Rooms Were Huge Beyond My Expectations But Could Have Do Little Extra Cleaning In Bathtub Only Staff All Including Housekeeping Were Very Informative and Friendly Looking Forward To Stay There Again. If They Have Inter...Best Budget Hotel I Stayed In Butterworth. When Arrived They Welcomed Me By My Name and My Booking Was Ready To Be Processed That Was Surprising To Me. Rooms Were Huge Beyond My Expectations But Could Have Do Little Extra Cleaning In Bathtub Only Staff All Including Housekeeping Were Very Informative and Friendly Looking Forward To Stay There Again. If They Have International Buffet Breakfast or Simple On The House Breakfast It Would Attract More Customers

The stay was fine for my purposes, I travelled from Bangkok to Butterworth and was heading to Kuala Lumpur the following day, so the SE2 was booked for a night to catch up on some sleep before continuing my journey. In addition, the bathroom was spacious and modern, and it is only 1km from the main transport hub, which contains the train, bus and ferry terminals, so I certainly would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay. There was a street food stand just outside the hotel, and a cafe on the same block, both of which served cheap and tasty local food. There was little else to do in Butterworth though, there was one bar opposite the hotel but that was all, so if you are looking to stay any longer than one night or you want to go out then my advice is to get the ferry over to Georgetown. If you just want a quiet night, then this hotel will be more than adequate.
