This was our first time in Surat Thani, on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is situated a bit on the outskirts of the city, but still in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. Most of the restaurants open late afternoon and are very reasonble priced, offer delicious Thai food. The hotel itself has a nice lobby, the check-in goes smooth, staff are very friendly and accomodating and they also have enough knowledge about traveling to Samui and other islands. The rooms are spacious with an industrial design. Amenities are sufficient, with a watercooker, coffee, tea available. The breakfast is good, with enough choice to get one going for the day. In short, a comfortable pleasant and clean hotel. Only one point can be improved.... I really missed a newschannel in English, such as CNN or BBC world. For the rest, no complaints at all.

it is another good hotel that i would like to recommend all of you to stay when you visit surat thani. i would like to explain how good it is- as of the followings: 1) reasonable price :it is less than 1,000 bahts per day or approx. 30 us.dollars only. 2) good location : not far from the lotus super market. you can walk to lotus by approx. 10 minutes away. 3) clean and peaceful hotel : it is clean indeed. at night it is quiet and suitable to go to bed. 4) comfortable toilet and shower room. 5) big bed : it is comfortable indeed. 6) delicious breakfast.

We were here for a night after 4 nights in Koh Samui due to early morning flight back to Kuala Lumpur via Surat Thani International Airport on the next day. From what I have gathered, this new hotel used to be an old hotel that have been revamped and renovated to one of the newest hotel in town. Centrally located in Surat Thani City, it is just a walking-distance from the night market. We are very satisfied with the service from the hotel. They arranged an airport transfer for the next day with the fixed rate of 300THB for 30 minutes journey, despite the city cabs are rampant and well known for overcharging the tourists. However, I have pointed out to the hotel owner on the bathroom. The bathroom could be very small to certain people, but it is fine for your short stay. The cleanliness is on point!

We were in Surat Thani for 4 days for a family function. This hotel had the perfect location - not in the busy city, and close to great shopping at Central Plaza. The staff were fantastic, the room was wonderful, with a good selection of Thai and foreign TV programmes. My Thai partner thought that the food was exceptionally good; although there was not a wide range to select from for breakfast, I had no complaints. The hotel does not have a swimming pool, but it does have an underground car park!!! We shall be staying here again.

I stayed here for two separate one-night stays, before and after ~10 days out on the islands off the nearby coast. CBD2 is pretty new, very spacious, and quite modern. Breakfast is good, with both Thai and Western choices. Hotel is just across the bridge from downtown Surat Thani, and while I enjoyed the 15 minute walk to anywhere, some would end up taking taxis frequently. First stay the hotel seemed deserted, while second stay it was nearly full. WiFi worked great. One of my rooms had no door on the shower, which was a bit unfortunate.

Clean rooms, restaurant food cheap and good, hotel has not had anything changed since the 70's a very random experience. Nothing else around hotel but ideal for a stop over. Air Asia run a shuttle bus for 100b to the airport which you can book the day before. Came from ko Tao with boat and bus transfer we got dropped in Surat Thani city and then had to get a tuk tuk to hotel at 50thb each. Only issue was we booked for 2 people and when wee arrived they said we had only paid for one and had to pay an extra 120thb had this problem with agoda before too.

This brand new hotel has a great styling. We went for a standard room which had a great soft bed. The shower has good pressure and constant temperature. The WiFi was fluctuating a bit which made is close to impossible to stream a film, browsing the internet is no problem tho. The location is central but there aren’t that many places around the corner. Going to the nearest mall/market will cost you around 20 - 30 Baht by taxi. The staff is willing to answer your questions and do take action when asked. Overall a really good style and comfort for its price.

To get to this hotel, we took Tuk-tuk from Surat Thani town and reached there in 15-20 minutes. The staffs are friendly and helpful though it takes a little bit of time to communicate due to language barrier. The room is clean with air conditioner, hot water and great wi-fi (free). It is located in a strategic place, 2 km from the Central Plaza, a new mall in Surat Thani town, and 5 km from Surat Thani airport. The hotel staffs helped us with trasportation arrangement to the airport, explained which spots to visit, where to eat and how to get to those places. 5 minutes from the hotel, we can enjoy local food with cheap price. Though this hotel does not serve you with breakfast but they prepare hot chocolate, tea and coffee in the morning. My husband and I love staying here with its quietness.

I was really miffed that this hotel list itself as city center, and location location! It is a 6.5 km taxi ride to the city center and bus station. I booked "city center" to be able to catch a early morning bus. They are perpetrating seriously false advertising. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very cordial. It was surprising that a hotel catering to the international clients would have a waitress who speaks literally no English. She was sweet and eager to please but the language barrier was A big one. How about Basic English classes for Hotel employees who want it ? How much could that cost in terms of the benefit of being able to communicate with international clients? This is a 100+ room hotel!

Ideal hotel for transition stay to Koh Samui for those flying-in to Surat Thani via AirAsia. However, locating this hotel would be tough as insufficient signage to hotel, recommended to take taxi from Surat Thani airport to the hotel. Note however that hotel room (exception to Family room) does not have kettle for water boiling and reception/housekeeping do not have extra kettle for loan. Those with young children, consider taking Family room, it's really spacious and decent room for overnight stay before depart to Koh Samui the next day. Central Plaza is walking distance from hotel (~ 1km, 20 minutes walk), note that the shopping center close at 9pm local time. We're surprise that the hotel serve really decent breakfast (noting the 3-star rating), we're more than satisfied to the food served. The hotel staffs are really nice and helpful , however, they are not proficient in English language. Highly recommended hotel for overnight stay before depart to Koh Samui next morning.

From Hua Hin we travelled to Surat Thani to go to Koh Samui. In Surat Thani we stayed one night at The One Hotel. This was a touching experience. We decided to eat at The One Restaurant and was overwhelmed with kindness and loving interest. It must be said that we travel with our seven months old daughter - in Thailand this opens many doors since Thais generally loves children. The One Hotel, however, was a special experience nonetheless. We ran into some problems regarding the Seatran ferry to Koh Samui, and the staff and manager were extremely helpful and in the end rearranged our trip and helped us find the shop in Surat Thani that tricked us. We could have never managed ourselves. The One Hotel is a family run hotel, and you can feel that - especially from the manager and the restaurant/karaoke staff. Sincere, kind and relaxed. All in all an extremely positive experience.

I like to walk, for exercise, so I was happy to move out of the noisy, seedy Surat Thani to this farmville zone. I could walk into town in 45minutes or you could walk 5-10 minutes and get some taxi/tuk-tuk or something. Internet was good, room had no view - but that made it very quiet - good for just going back and sleeping. It had a minimal space for a computer - though power socket was a bit of a reach. Clean, new install and seems safe and secure.

my place @ surat hotel i believe deserves recommendation. if you have to stay overnight in surat thani for whatever reasons, then i would advice to seriously think about staying in here. like others, we opted to spend 1 night in surat thani to catch a flight the next day. given what we paid for (aud $18 for 2 pax), we weren't expecting much. we chose this place because of the general positive feedback it has been given. upon arrival, the front facade of the place looks nice and clean, the staff greated us warmly with a nice welcome drinks and on their counter was a little board with our name written down to say "welcome" with our country's flag (australia)right above it. nice touch. the room we were given was big, very clean, had bottled water for free, fridge, new air-con, en-suite bathroom, free wi-fi, and t.v that had a lot of english channel/shows! after a week of watching al jazeera news (only thing in english where we were), this was exciting around the corner from the place was a night market that starts around 4 p.m. and "no. there were hardly any insects for sale". seriously, there were a number of great food to eat for sale which were cheap and you will not get sick e.g. barbecued pork, corn on the cob, pad thai, if you see the girl doing little pikelets with pandan spread inside (green looking paste) do yourself a favour and give it a try. it is delish!! the staff speaks little english but they will do their best to make sure that you are comfortable and that you don't get rip off. when you first get to surat thani e.g. if you arrive there by bus, where you get off, you will be pounced on by taxi drivers etc. trying to get you to commit into pre-booking them. don't!! just wait till you get to my place as they will tell you the different, really cheap and easy options of getting to the airport for example.

Wonderful staff, very helpful and knowledgeable with super comfortable beds! Very close to liquor distributor and even further down the street is a top notch indoor/outdoor restaurant and night club with live music all within a few minutes’ walk all on the same side of the street. This is my personal favorite place to stay in Surat Thani while traveling by motorcycle.

This is a wonderful, newly built hotel in the heart of Surat Thani, close to the dock. Rooms are spotless, water pressure is great, facility is great, beds and pillows are comfy....there's nothing not to like! The staff are kind and welcoming. The only thing it lacks is lack of breakfast service--which would make this place PERFECT! They do serve free drinks and snacks all day in the lobby, which is so nice. We have found our favorite place to stay in Surat Thani: The Evergreen Suite Hotel.

One of the cheapest places I found and was the best value for money without a doubt. The rooms are completely refurbished and spotless. Also very bright and airy. The location was so good for me as it was a 5 - 10 minute walk from where the bus drops you off and also from where I had to catch the bus the next morning to get to the airport. Super easy and convenient. I only stayed in Surat Thani to catch a morning flight the next day, but if I ever had to stay again then I would pick this place again for sure.

I loved my stay here. It is just so peaceful and quiet. It's a hotel with restaurant but also seems to be a market garden - the garden area is huge and the rooms have large windows that look out over it (the top floor rooms also have river views). I am a really light sleeper and very sensitive to noise, but there was absolutely nothing to disturb me. Bliss! The restaurant area is lovely, although the restaurant doesn't have any western food (or even western style Thai food...like pad Thai or red curry). It does have an American-style breakfast though. The food was really good though, and quite cheap. I have a couple of complaints -- I organized a pick-up at the bus station but the staff hardly speak any english, so even though I facebooked them twice (and they said the pickup was OK) it seems they didn't really understand what I was asking. The hotel is located about 4kms south of the bus station and Lomprayah office. It's also on the same side of Surat Thani as the airport. But, most taxi drivers I dealt with didn't know the hotel, so it was very handy to have the hotel's number on my phone so the taxi driver could just ring them for directions. With taxi meter is should cost about 40 baht to the bus station, around 70 - 100 to central Surat Thani, and around 200 to the airport. Overall I absolutely recommend this place, I would really like to go back. Also, they play music in the restaurant that is sometimes really loud (I just asked them to turn it down, since I was eating by myself most of the time).
