This place is really, really great, me and my boyfriend loved everything about this hotel. First off all the location is awesome. Being right next to Surasak BTS made it so easy to get to Central Pier or Sukhumvit. The hotel is still being finished but don't let that put you off as you'll hardly notice it and the prices right now are great value for what you will experience. Our room was extremely nice with a huge comfy bed, huge tv, huge bathtub and huge rain shower. The rooftop pool and bar offer great views and the gym looked real nice too, though we didn't use it. We only ate once at the bistro on the ground floor but the food was excellent. I have to say the service through all parts of the hotel was more or less impeccable with the staff very happy to attend to any need, no matter how small. Room service was quick. The hotel isn't quite finished so the spa and some of the bars were not open when I visited but that's probably why it was so cheap. However other than this, you would have had no idea work was still taking place on the hotel. You can easily go for a massage in loads of nice and cheaper places near by if need be. All in all this is possibly the best value place I have ever stayed in.

Loved it. We have a 3 year old and we knew Bangkok was not the typical resort option (been to Phuket before) so we were slightly nervous. However, the hotel was great. Very nice pool area, kids play area, and all round general facilities. The staff were amazing everywhere. Breakfast was looked forward to by all of us. There is a nice little street to walk down next to the hotel with a few different small shops to get almost anything you need and a few restaurant options, along with cheap massage parlors. If you want to visit one of the bigger malls, there is a free shuttle service from the hotel everyday as well. There are some really big and really nice kids indoor play areas in almost all the big malls if you are looking for some fin for the kids. Central Rama III is the nearest... All round excellent, we will definitely go back if we go back to Bangkok

During my recent family trip, I have stayed at this hotel for two nights. My selection standard was 1)any 5 star hotel which has more than two bed rooms, 2) conveniently located within the city. Though I had another place in Sathorn in mind, I wanted to try out this one. My evaluation: overall fairly comfortable. Worth the price you pay. May need improvement to claim for true 5 star though. A) hospitality attitude is great. Usually attentive and respond in short interval. B) facility is fairly good. Room service, emergency first aid kit arrival was very fast. Pool, dining area, spa, gym are all nice. But there are a few points to improve. i)No utensils in the kitchen. ii) Shower booth door does not shut properly therefore water leaks to outside. iii) TV cupboard and bed is too close, therefore caused foot finger injury to my family as they hit their feet on the cupboard shelf corner. iv) no toothbrush amenity was set beforehand. v) no hotel room instruction book is placed in room. Though hotel staff claims that all instruction is displayed on TV, I find this a bit inconvenient. vi) the room initially smelled a bit moldy. C) location is 15 min walk from Chong Nosi BTS station. If you take BRT then it may be closer. The location map on google or the hotel web site is not easy to see of misleading. You need to enter from Thanon Naradhiwas Rajanaganindra road (the big road which has BRT dedicated lanes) not via any Soi.

This is really the five star hotel, for me the best hotel I have ever stayed. Location is very good, directly opposite to the skytrain station SURASAK on the S line. The hotel is one year old, everything is new, the rooms are big and clean, the bathroom is perfect, try to go up, I was on the 25 floor and have excellent view of the city. What was the best on the hotel is the pool, you can find it on the 14 floor. When I first see it, I have stopped breathing, its really amazing!!! The second fabulous thing was the breakfast, it was perfect. A the end, Eastin is the five star hotel, with the five star rooms and five star profesional service (best in thailand!), and magnificent pool with amazing look over the city. I love this hotel and definitely will come back!

Spent a week at Siri Sathorn. Had a splendid stay. Huge room with living, dining and bed areas. Lots of storage space. Great view out of wall of windows. Shuttle to transit & shopping. Lots of great restaurants nearby. On quiet soi off Rama IV/Sathorn. Lumphini Park a couple of blocks away. Hearty breakfast with good coffee. And friendly helpful staff. I will be back. I wouldn't give many hotels 5 stars (Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons) but I'd absolutely give Siri Sathorn 4 strong stars. Without hesitation.

the aetas lumpini hotel on rama iv road was amazing! the food, the professionally trained staff, the clean and elegant rooms were all 5 star. the pool was closed for two days because of a leak but the service and quality of the hotel made up for that. the rooms had high quality linens on the beds, the food was fresh and of excellent quality and most of all, the trained staff especially joe ekachai was most professional and accomodating. because of him and the rest of the staff, i would definitely recommend this hotel. when i return to bangkok, i will stay there again for sure. this is struly what an international 5 star hotel should be like! i've stayed at many hotels across europe and north america as well as the middle east, persian gulf and the aetas lumpini hotel is definitely one of my favorites. i compare it to the madison hotel in st-germain des pres in paris, france which is also a 5 star establishment and one of my favorites when i stay in paris!

This is the second time I have stayed at Banyan Tree Bangkok and they did not disappoint. I booked the Executive Lounge Suite and everything was as advertised. Check in/out from lounge, staff spoke English very well, design and decor is amazing, finishing in the room is true 5 star hotel standard etc etc etc. ROOM: Bed was the most comfortable that I can remember in any hotel. A bath in the huge tub with the complimentary bath salts and oils plus such an amazing bed led to a great rest after a long flight. FOOD: The buffet at Banyan Tree Bangkok is, in my opinion, the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel anywhere in the world. The food and beverage offerings are extensive, everything is fresh, and the service is great. The best bar in Bangkok is on the roof top of the hotel so, if you get a room that has access to the Executive Lounge, have some complimentary cocktails at the Lounge then go upstairs to enjoy the view. It's a stunning outlook on a big city. TIPS: make time for the complimentary cocktails if they are provided with your room choice, they're well worth it. If it is in your budget order the hotel limousine to pick you up from the airport, it's a nice choice. It is extra but a pleasant addition after a long flight (especially if you are trying to impress someone!)

fraser suites urbana sathorn is an excellent 4+ stars serviced apartment. among the many other choices in bangkok, this place has one general interesting and unique quality – it simply cannot be faulted at any aspect (with few minor less-than-best- issues detailed later on). first, everything at this place - and really i mean everything - actually works well and effectively. the apartment is nicely and warmly decorated (maybe slightly out-dated already, but certainly nothing that can bother the most discerning guest); the kitchen is really well-equipped (perhaps best equipment level out of many places i visited) and accompanied with clear english operation instructions (over, micro, washer, etc); nice lcd and dvd; effective yet quiet (!) air-conditioning with remotes (separate a/cs for living and bed rooms); good effective light-blocking curtains for your sweet morning jet-lagged sleep; nice bath and shower proportionally sized and convenient, etc etc. they have good wireless internet (reasonable bandwidth but not fast) at all rooms and all public areas, but check carefully if included in your rate, otherwise the additional charges will be high. the hotel pool area is also very nice. and on top of it all comes a very professional service.

The hotel is small and friendly. The roof terrace with pool and sun loungers is a delight, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the front-of-house staff are friendly, and helpful to the utmost. Breakfasts were good, and even the mini-bar was not the usual rip-off, with a tin of Singha and a packet of cashews costing a grand total of 100 baht. Grand Sathorn is well situated, close to skytrain, a short walk from the river and piers for river trips. It is a great base for a visit to Bangkok. So why not rate it 4-star? Simply that restaurant services are limited to room service or breakfast. Sometimes, particularly business travelers, but others too, need to be able to entertain in their hotel. A hotel without a full-time restaurant is not really 4-star. There are excellent restaurants nearby, for those used to Thai restaurants, but with TVs blaring and open to the streets, these are not really suited to business conversation. So a good 3-star, not quite reaching the 4, but the warm welcome, terrific staff and the very high standards of comfort and cleanliness will guarantee my return.

it was my first stay at the brand new hotel. this 5 star hotel indeed is doing its best to make small differences everywhere and they indeed do. the room design is quite special, all the amenities are quite original. the pool is awesome. one of the drawbacks is the locations for taxis. it's hard to get a taxi in front of the hotel or one who knows the road to this hotel, it's so new. for people who travel by bts in bangkok, it's right next to chong nonsi bts station. the in-room dining menu is a bit short but food is very good.

Very good 5 star hotel with all the qualities and fascilities in place for a great stay, both for business trevelors and holiday makers. Good service of the staff, and nice rooms. The restaurants are great, and the swimming pool area is also nice. One of the best hotels in Bangkok I would say after trying out many of them. Had a great time there, and also enjoyed the good and central location of the hotel for recreational and shopping activities. Will definately go back in the future!

i am a frequent traveler, but first time in bangkok, so great i had to write a review, i mainly booked the hotel because when i called to inquire (after calling many hotels) i was assisted by Mr. Tim, and he was extremely helpful, professional and very joyful, the rooms are great and (rain shower is a wonder!), location is great, for me i wanted something aways from loud areas, but then again it is only a 10 minutes drive to et to important areas...great food and prompt room service, and oh the house keeping and how dedicated the work is in cleaning the rooms, the bed is as described and better, the pillows and its types are superb for amazing sleeping quality, pool parties that make your day, roof top is unbelievably romantic and magical, the TV has everything you need from channels to internet to tips to shopping form the hotel or outside...espresso machine makes your morning delightful, i can go on and on about the little but important things there, but im trying to keep it simple...check in was only five minutes! check out was only 3 minutes! even if there other people, its the hotel that knows how to ease the work flow. the best part is that i felt i was taken care of, really. I ran into the staff there and boy O boy AMAZING people, Ms.Layla, Mr. X, Ms. Vivena and Mr. K and Ms. Niki and ALL the others, Ms. Layla, Mr. Tim and Ms. Vivena spent a lot of time helping me to get around and giving me great tips and information and made my stay joyful and superb, i expected my trip to be great, but it was more than super amazing, i noticed that smiles are every where, even the guests are happy! it shows to say that the hotel has a good atmosphere and people are happy there, i really thank and love Sofitel So for the wonderful time and will surely, always go there, you only need to try it, once you see SO, you will always GO... thank you from the bottom of my heart, Pom chob krung thep kap!

I've stayed at the Astera 7 times now and the staff are always smiling, friendly, helpful and polite. The best kept secret about Bangkok is the very cheap Airport train, which gets you to the BTS in about 25 minutes for 20 Baht! The walk from the Taksin station to the Astera is about 5 minutes through real Bangkok streets. It's a quiet hotel, book the breakfast with you hotel booking as it will be cheaper. The local shopping is OK. I visit the local dentist and barber. Then hop on the BTS to Pratunam or Chatuchack Markets. Then cool off at MBK or the other more expensive shopping centres. Even getting on the train can be a respite from the heat. You get free wifi in the rooms now. They used to charge $18 a day! But have now made it free. I'm not a fan of crowds and noise so this is the place for me.

i stay in bangkok on average at least 10 times a year. in the past i had always stayed at fraser suites, but it was booked this time so i choose the ascot. choosing the ascot was the best thing i have done in awhile. they have great rooms (with l-occitane products), free internet, full kitchens with washer/dryer and the best gym of any hotel i have ever stayed at. for the price and location, this is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. it is cheaper than fraser suites and considerably better value for money. the staff was very lovely and helpful. this is my new preferred hotel in bangkok.

All told, a good, solid, run-of-the-mill, comfortable hotel. Soulless and characterless, as per most Bangkok hotels. Clean, but not top clean, e.g. upper shelves bedroom closet were dusty as they obviously had not been dusted in a long time (admittedly, the rest of the room was quite clean). No shower stall, just a bathtub with a curtain and it was impossible to shower without soaking the bathroom as the bathtub has, oddly, a water run-off that directs copious amounts of water to the floor. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and do everything to ensure guests have a nice stay. Breakfast is very good and incredible value for the money. Location is very good: central and a few minutes' walk to the BTS. However, it's stretching it to say this is a 4-star hotel. It is more like a 3.5. But that's true for most so-called "4 star" hotels in Bangkok. There is a huge jump from this to a 5-star.

Requested for big bed and high floor in my booking. Hotel side mentioned they did not receive any memo from agoda regarding my request. To all fellow travelers, please snap a screen shot of all itineraries and reservation requests. Save you the trouble of explaining and putting yourselves in bad light... Avoid staying in the room during office hour, some construction works going on in their car parking premises (basement) . My room was on the 2nd floor...doesn't really bother me during my 5 days stay as I'm out when the drilling starts ;P For Breakfast, just take the fruit, yoghurt and salad. Can skip the rest... Although a 3 star hotel, but their ROOM CLEANINESS IS A GOOD 5 STAR! Keep it up and maintain it well!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at At Ease Saladaeng. The name is quite appropriate. We booked a deluxe room and it suited our needs perfectly. It is an easy 10 min walk to both the Skytain and Metro systems, the markets at Silom Rd and for our purposes the Australian Embassy. Lumphini Park is also very close and it is a great place for an early morning or evening walk/jog around its 2.5km circuit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with our printing and photocopying needs. There was a good selection of food at the buffet breakfast which we included in our package. There is a food eatery next door and a great restaurant on the corner with Rama IV. I will definitely come back again.

Stayed 4 nights with two teenagers, so we booked a twin room for them and a superior room for ourselves. Rooms were identical except for the beds, so it is not worth paying for a superior; a standard room is fine. The rooms were spacious and clean, good beds, TVs with a couple of English channels. THB 1000 key deposit (cash only) upon check-in. Cute little pool on the roof with a few loungers, but no shade. The best part was the breakfast— fresh and a good variety of Thai dishes daily. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Coin-operated washing machines outside the entrance if needed. Rooms cleaned daily. There was a hair dryer, safe, kettle & instant tea/coffee in the room. The hotel is down a small street with several good, reasonable restaurants. It is quiet, but there is a small shopping mall at the end of the street (Centre Point) and Saphan Taksin BTS station just around the corner. Good value! Tip: best foreign Xchange kiosk @ Jewelry Trade Cntr, 2nd fl (5-min. walk)

Moder/high tech room Very clean room and very good room layout Great breakfast. Wish bread would be freshly baked and juices not from concentrate/artificial then I would consider it perfect. Staff very attentive, cordial, cortious. Called few times for additional towels and soap - response time was 1-2 minutes. Very impressive! Calling for taki from the hotel is 5-10 minutes delay. No big deal. Arrival back to the hotel causes some drivers to loose their way though signs are clear. I just learn the 3 turns from the main road to the hotel, how to say left and right in Thai (Qua, sa-yee) and prenlem resolved. Hotel offers free yoga class (my wife tried it) and Thai language once a week. Since I'm a foodie, here are the breakfast details: Very clean, nice selection, very nice decor. This is a one star Michelin restaurant. Probably lunch and diner is more impressive but the breakfast was not as zesty as expected. Cheese selection is only 2 types of simple cheeses. Lox was scant and not of the best quality but it was just ok. Nice selection of dried fruits. Pastries below average. Not crispy Danish / tart / Turnovers. Warm dishes are ok quality but not Tasty so I sleeper it and stocked to salad and lox. You may order omelette ala carte but don't expect to consistency. I like my omelette spice with chopped chilly - once I got it hell hot next day I couldn't feel the chili. Coffee / cappuccino / latte was very good so I had 2-3 cups every time. Bread looks like ordered from a near by bakery, probably a day before but don't forget this is less than 100 room hotel and there is limited labor resource they can provide while price room for $100/night range. (For better nreakfast go to the mandarin oriental and pay $300/night) Overall this hotel with the complimentary breakfast is the best deal i ever encountered. From now on, I will check my travel destination for U hotels and stay there if possible.

Great find....I needed somewhere, clean, safe and central to Sathorn as I am a solo female, mature traveller but wanted a Thai area where I can walk to street vendors rather than 'tourist' area and what a find - I loved this place. Clean and spacious rooms, although I was upgraded on 2 occasions - lucky me! (Note: I booked in here on 3 separate occasions during December). The rooms are lovely with bathrobes, TV caters for all nationalities, new stylish bathroom, kitchen and dining area and on 1 occasion with great views of the Banyon Tree and local Thai houses - I had the contrasts and charm. It was quiet - slept like a dream - although based off a busy road with street food vendors, a market nearby, 7-11 on corner and massages available nearly next door. This is a great place with a nice breakfast room on the 9th floor with free internet which was great as didn't want to bring my laptop, but I could keep in contact with home and also make arrangements to meet up with family working in Bangkok. I loved staying here, other residents were friendly and the reception kept one of my bags for me when I went off to Kanchanaburi for a few days so I didn't have to lug it all around with me. A tuk tuk provides free transport to the BST but it is not far to walk either, easy to get to the river too, also close to Night Bazaar and Lumphini park ...I just can't fault it here although it is important for me to stay in a Thai area rather than a westernised area..I only ate breakfast here so can't speak about the food really but breakfast was good and great choice....I was disappointed as needed to book 1 more night late in my trip and they were full ! I will come back here for sure...

What an outstanding hotel. We started off our stay with a late check in and the best room service we've ever had - complete with complimentary prosecco and chocolates for our anniversary. The daily breakfast at Glow was the most original, clean, healthy and fresh we've ever had at a hotel. The room was beautifully and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was spectacular, and the bath products wonderfully fragrant. The pool was gorgeous and refreshing after a long hot day of shopping. But by far, the highlight was dinner at Nahm. One of the best meals we've ever eaten, anywhere, ever. Just outstanding in every way. Our only gripe was that we were unable to use the gift vouchers the hotel gave us for their spa because it is very popular and appointment availabilities very rare. So do book ahead if that's something you want to try, as we will, when we go back, as we surely will.

the staff was very helpful, smiling and efficient, if i had a request they would do their best to fulfill it. although the location was very convenient for me (walking distance to my dental clinic) it is not that convenient for major shopping centres but the hotel shuttle was always there ready to take us to the bts (not very far away) if needed, a very convenient service. the rooms were clean and tidy. there was an issue with hot water for a day or two as the maintenance people couldn't get it fixed quickly but luckily the inconvenience wa only for a day in my case. there is an atm just across the road which is very handy. there will also be a 7eleven across the once the renovations are finished, i had to walk to the one on rama iv or up soi ngam duphli (also not far to either of them) the tourist information and booking desk in the lobby was very convenient as on this trip i only wanted to finish my dental work and not go chasing around tourist sites on my own - the tourist info helped out with some good group tours. the restaurant was very convenient and was open at all sorts of hours up to 11pm, as was the bar, being able to order food to take up to the room was also very convenient. i was there for 2 weeks and the staff treated me with friendliness and smiles every day. like most of bangkok suburbs this area is not conducive to a lot of walking (the lack of footpaths is always a problem) but if you head up towards rama iv on the opposite side of the road to the hotel there is a footpath all the way and rama iv being a main road also has footpaths, so if you are a walking type it's a little easier than elsewhere.

we chose the hotel based on reviews on here and tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. we had booked a standard studio for a six day stay. we were warmly welcomed and the receptionist immediately helped us with communications regarding our luggage which hadn't quite arrived as expected. we were checked into a 3rd floor studio which was clean and spacious and we just collapsed after our long flight. the studio was great, and it had everything we needed. we did have an issue with the bed which had an annoying squeak, and the following morning we reported this to reception and after some initial investigation they asked us to move to an alternative room which was one of their one bed superior rooms on the 7th floor. the main difference between the rooms is more space and a separate lounge and bedroom area, with an additional tv and a larger couch. for us the studio would have been adequate but upgrade was a nice touch for the inconvenience of having to move rooms. the hotel is really conveniently located. it's on the edge of the business district (hence quieter), but close enough to transport (5mins walk to lumphini mrt, 10mins walk to saladeng bts / silom mrt) and well connected by road just set back from the junction of rama 4 and sathorn road. the hotel has a tuktuk for free local trips but we didn't use it. the breakfast is adequate but nothing to shout about. hot tea/coffee, milk, fruit juice along with toast, cereals, fresh fruit, sliced meat. there's plenty of it, but it can get a bit repetitive after several days. the hotel has plans to fix this with a new kitchen, and if you need something different one day (or you have an early start) head over to chinese food court in lumphini park - cross the footbridge on rama 4 road just up from hsbc and head right when you get into the park - its open from 4.30am to 10am and has lots of choice. we really enjoyed our stay and would not have any hesitation to recommend baan k to others.

The Somerset Hotel is in a convenient location, is very clean and comfortable. The beds are especially nice with high quality mattress's and sheets. The convenience of a suite allowed to have meetings in our room with local business associates and to enjoy the comforts of a home away from home. We come to Bangkok often. We have stayed at most of the five star hotels. The experience at the Somerset was better than any of our other stays. The Restaurant has great food and service. Perfectly adequate for a business traveler looking for a convenient location for breakfast and to meet associates. Overall the Somerset is one of the best bargains in Bangkok.

We booked The Narathiwas Residence because it is an apartment style hotel. Because we traveled with a baby, we needed extra space and a kitchen. We booked the room the night before our arrival, so when we asked for a baby cot, there was not one available. They then upgraded us to a larger room and provided us with an extra sleeping provisions such as an extra duvet and pillows. The room was extremely spacious and had good views, but the bathroom was a bit small. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was included in the rate. It had a wide variety of food for a variety of travelers' tastes. We probably enjoyed the breakfast the most!! The hotel provided a shuttle to the nearest skytrain station, but we opted for a taxi instead (which they called to the front door). There were several dining options outside the hotel and a 7-11 close by. I would definitely stay here again.

From the greeting we received as we arrived until the moment we left we thought Pantip Court was a great place to stay. The staff were extremely welcoming on every occasion and the front desk girls did us a great favour upon check-in. Check-in was quick and smooth and soon we were in our apartment, which was 1 of the biggest we have stayed in. Extra bedding and towels followed right away. Although slightly dated the room was clean and everything worked. A light bulb on the balcony was replaced as soon as we asked for it after it broke one evening. Meals in the restaurant were good and also quite inexpensive and the staff there were very pleasant, even though we arrived quite late. The cake shop can be a big hit with the ladies because of the large selection and also the "buy 1 get 1 free" offer in the afternoon. An added bonus is the little shop at the corner of the lobby which sells everything at normal 7-11 prices - no rip off there. I have already booked our next trip to Bangkok for November and we will definately be using Pantip Court as our base. It's probably the best value hotel in the city and the staff make it a 5 star experience even if the room is not 5 star.

i came to the malaysia hotel with my 16 month old son and was a little put off at first about the reviews stating this was a gay pick-up spot. well, hello, this is silom/sathorn.. get used to it. what i found was an incredibly charming hotel that had been in operation for years so everything was clean and organized. the rooms are clean, sheets and towels white, and the pool was sparkling clean. also, an important note is that all taxi drivers know this hotel, and it is a 5 minute walk to lumphini mrt station (without crossing any streets). fantastic. for per night you can't go wrong. the malai restaurant is open 24 hours per day and they bring the food right to your room. the food is nothing to write home about but it is cheap and tasty (and convenient). the service i received was something i would expect from a 4 star hotel- very impressive. they immediately assisted with my luggage and took it to my room. this was invaluable for someone traveling with a toddler and 50kg of luggage! the only con is that wifi is not free. i bought five hours for baht that i could use in a 24 hour period and from my room on the 3rd floor it was fairly fast. all in all a great place for a great price- i will certainly be back. malaysia hotel has been in operation for many years and they know what works.

The hotel is a small boutique hotel off Suan Plu road. When telling your taxing driver, tell them Suan Plu soi 3 (soi saam). The decor is very chic, but the beds were a little hard (thai standard). Bathrooms were on the smaller side, but for the price paid, it's a fair hotel. If you walk to the main road (suan plu), there are shops and food vendors, so you won't go hungry. Only downside is that it's not hear a BTS station. Uber was our best way to get around. Taxi will try to rip you off if you catch them from any touristy place. If you flag one down on the street, chances are better that they will use the meter, but if they don't, either get out or agree to an amount ahead of time. This wasn't my first time in BKK and I speak the language fluently, but was still ripped off by taxi drivers, so beware.
