Hi Chiang Rai is a beautiful Brand New hotel in a premium location in Chiang Rai. you will be hard pushed to beat this place for value for money. nice rooms & sweet small bathrooms with super soft towels. good buffet breakfast serving cereals/toast/muffins/fruit & fresh ground coffee. has a beautiful indoor swimming pool. only downside was wifi was only available in the lobby, but for the price paid i can more than live with this one small issue. I would stay here everytime i visit Chiang rai and highly recommend to anyone. Great hotel and great staff.

It is Le Meridien, so of course I am picky. First of all it is quite surprising to find such a huge mega resort in a place like Chiang Rai. First day was extremely quiet, almost no clients in the hotel, it gives the experience an uttermost feeling of luxury. The following day at least 60 Spanish people in coach bus and 30 Chinese people raided the hotel... it was different =_= It is only for people who love this kind of huge luxury building, and already know Le Meridien's style. They made proper efforts to use as mush teak as possible and have the Thai feeling in the architecture. Service is really good, and "Net" was really helpful, thanks to her! If you are in Bangkok, it is only 1:20 flight to chiang rai and then a 10 minutes ride to the hotel, worth it to go away from the craziness and pollution of the capital. +++ Positive +++ + Amazing setting, the view on the river or the massive trees lighten with lanterns in between the buildings... the camp fire in the evening... we even saw a meteorite crashing few kilometers from us, it is hard to top that. + Spacious and clean rooms + Super comfy beds (zzzZZZ) + Big balcony + Excellent service (special mention to the woman called "Net" at the front desk!) + Food in general in the three restaurants is really good + For 400THB the breakfast buffet is good, but I would say 300THB would be a fairer price + 24/7 gym + Great WiFi + Hotel shuttle to airport (200THB) - the guy is from Fast & Furious though + Almost everyone in the team speaks a really correct to excellent English --- Negative --- - For this price and expectations, rooms should have a double door sas system. We really hear too much the people walking by or the room service ringing and talking to the guests next to us. There are few hotels in Chiang Rai that meet a Westerners expectations. Grand Vista does. Security is excellent, room is clean. Breakfast was Thai style with a special Chiang Rai speciality soup, vegetables/salad and egg station. Front desk staff was extremely kind and English was well spoken. For the rate I'd recommend this hotel as the #1 in CR. I recommend booking a back room as the front faces the highway and back-side is quiet.

Love this place. Chose it due to high ratings. The location is great near the night market and bus terminal. Rooms are nice, pool is nice (but you can hear the street traffic from the pool). In room minibar is free and restocked every day. Service and staff are outstanding. As an example, We asked at the lobby the hours of the bus terminal and the receptionist, Niram, pointed out that I could reserve my bus ticket to Chiang Mai online and pay at 7-11. He logged onto the lobby computer and walked us through the reservation process and printed the confirmation to show at 7-11 for payment. When we returned to the hotel that evening, he checked the 7-11 receipt to make sure they got it right and then he reserved the hotel van to take us to the bus station for free the day of our departure! Breakfast our first and third day was an excellent buffet of Thai dishes, fruit, yogurt, pastries and eggs to order. The second day it was ala carte anything and as much as you wanted to order off the menu. The coffee was great and served with steamed foamy milk. Would definitely stay here again if in Chiang Rai. Also good to know is that at the airport in Chiang Rai just after picking up your bags there is a True mobile kiosk for cell phones. If you don't need data, you can get the SIM card free and load it with as much or as little baht as you want. It only costs one baht per minute to call the US and Canada. If you need data, there are packages with data and call time.

This hotel has been one of the highlights of my travels around Asia. Set on a quiet road about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Chiang Rai, the fairly ordinary entrance road does not prepare you for what waits at reception and beyond. Once checked in the friendly staff guide you through a tropical paradise of plants and trees to one of the spacious and well equipped bungalows. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent as this is one of the prices you pay for staying in the centre of so much greenery. Reception staff are friendly and helpful although two of my few criticisms of the resort are that a) Their airport transfer is overpriced by about 200 baht (I booked through the tour place across road) and b) some of their tours are also more expensive than walking across road - plus there do not seem a lot of options for the solo traveller. But these are both small, easily remedied criticisms. The attached restaurant bar provides breakfast in the morning and drinks and meals at night; remember to get your daily 10% discount coupon and remember the 3 for 2 happy hours too. The restaurant have both friendly staff and some amazing food. Try the Kao Soi Gai - a new dish for me and now one of my all time Thai favourites! The breakfast buffet was perhaps the best I have experienced with a wide range of Thai and Western choices. Also easy to get a tuk tuk up to the night market (should be about 50 baht each way) All in all, the LaLuna is a gem in Chiang Rai and is most definitely on the 'must return' list!

Stayed here for a second time, and it still is for me the best in Chiang Rai. It is centrally located, rooms are clean and well maintained. The only downside I experienced was, we arrived early in the day, but we weren't allowed check-in until about 1PM. They kept telling us that because we booked thru Agoda, check-in time is strictly 2PM. Nothing really bad because that's what it says on print. They allowed to keep our luggage so we can go around town. But, it would have been a nice touch if we were allowed to check-in earlier, the hotel wasn't really fully booked because it's off season for travel now. I wonder, if we booked through the B2 app, would we have been allowed to check-in earlier? Perhaps... In summary though, the value for money is really way above board, especially because we got a discounted price. Will definitely stay again here next time I'm in Chiang Rai.

I am very thankful for the manager at the Hug Hotel helping to arrange our tour of the Chiang Rai region. She found us a wonderful English speaking guide with his own car, and also helped us decide what would be worthwhile seeing. As to the hotel itself, it is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are comfortable if basic. The view from my balcony was of a neighbor's backyard who owns three beautiful dogs, a german shepherd and two golden retrievers. I think it is the only time in my life I chatted with a neighbor to the hotel from my balcony as we talked about his dogs. The location of the hotel is ok, but not within walking distance of either the Clock Tower or the Night Market, being 2-3 kilometers distance from both. The taxi or tuk tuk ride is cheap, however, and the Chiang Rai Night Market is worth viewing. Overall, a very nice stay and would stay here again if I were spending the night in Chiang Rai.

stayed one night before flying out to bangkok. saw the hotel on agoda and was very happy we chose this one as it has a huge lobby, huge dinning room and nice pool surrounded by lovely trees and plants. the room was small with two twin beds but very confortable with fridge, hot water for coffee and the bathroom was well laid out. roomrate came with breakfast and we had a good buffet breakfast before flying out. they have a van for each to the airport and not wanting to take a tuktuk we went by the van. the hotel is so close to the newest or only mall in chiang rai with the only starbucks so we enjoyed walking over to the mall for dinner and coffee, very nice mall, about time chiang rai got one. will be back and will stay at this hotel again.

We...myself and my wife stay here before....it was one of a great hotel in Chiang-Rai. The hotel itself sit next to the Kok river....it was a nice view, specialy in the morning...we love to sit here when we have a coffee and breakfast. All hotel staff havinf service mind and respect you all. They are very helpfull. The room itself also great decorate which make you feel like home and make you feel like ....bring you back to the past in old real thai fashion.

Chaiang Rai is a small city. Nevertheless it's best to stay near the bus terminal. Chiang Rai Hotel is within a ten minute walking distance from this focal point. You will have no trouble getting on the green/city bus. The clock tower is right near the hotel as is a local market which is open every day. The Night Market is also quite close. The hotel was quiet and very clean. Breakfast opens early and is diverse, including standard continental breakfast as well as Thai dishes.

We were only at Diamond Park Inn Resort for a quick overnight stay, so we didn't get a real sense of the place. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were fine. We arrived at the wrong hotel initially, because there are two hotels in Chiang Rai of the same name (Diamond Park Inn and Diamond Park Inn Resort) and the staff kindly drove us from one location to the next:)

I wasn't expecting such a great hotel in Chiang Rai as the city is abit of a sleepy place (and the reason I visited to get away from the chaos of Bangkok) but the Rasa is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The whole place is very clean and well designed. The beds are firm and comfy and the rooms are well proportioned and the water is the fridge is free! (important in hot Thailand) The breakfast served was huge (3 courses!) and tasted good. The best thing about the hotel is the quality if the staff. An example was when we were greeted at the car park with an umbrella on return from a rainy day out (you don't get this outside of posh hotels!) Also the staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Truly, this is my secret hideaway, as it seems to have everything I need. It is reasonably priced, and located in a very convenient area. It is smack bang right alongside the old AirForce Base (not used anymore) and is a popular running track for early morning joggers. Breakfast is very very Thai, and not attractive to many foreigners, however there is nothing stopping you taking your own breakfast cereals etc. The Hotel caters for many bus travelling groups, however they stay in the multi-person units, whereas more upmarket units are available which are quite attractive. The gym,spa and swimming pool are free to use by the Hotel guests.The township of Chiang Rai has many attractions, and cultural identities. Elephant Camps can also be found within 20 kms from the town outskirts. The night markets are big and enjoyable, and the local park is beautifully kept, with a huge arrange of flowers...the tulips are magnificent. The new Shopping Mall in Chiang Rai is brilliant, and especially caters for 'Farang' diners. Pimanninn value for money? For the first time ever, and I have submitted heaps of reviews for Agoda......5 Stars.....my favourite. Could quite easily live fulltime at this Hotel, as the AirAsia service to Bangkok and beyond is so convenient. I found this Hotel via Agoda, which didn't seem to contain many positive reviews about this Hotel, but I am ever so glad that I acquainted myself with this location, and will return in due course. Chiang Rai is old, but has a lot of lovely character, and is tucked away from all the hype and noise of other touristy places.

The place is true to the pictures and I love that it has a really nice and boutique feel to it. The rooms are super new and clean and with all the amenities of a hotel for a fraction of the price (except maybe a lift would be good :)). While it's just a little further from the clock tower (where all the activity is at), the place feels really safe as it is next to a hospital and the area is well lit at night, compared to some other accommodations nearer to the clock tower. There is also a lot of food (also due to the hospital) and a convenience store right outside the B&B. If you're driving around in Chiang Rai like I did, the place has its own parking lot which means no worries about finding parking when you get back! Would 100% stay again at this place and I really recommend anyone staying in Chiang Rai to stay here.

The "La Vie En Rose" hotel is a nice hotel at Chiang Rai, the set-up, style of the rooms are elegant. I had a room with beautiful blue painted walls, my sons had the same room in "dark purple", but very stylish with a kind of white "stucco". The reception hall and the restaurant (for breakfast) appears cool because of the furniture (white leather chairs). A good hotel in Chiang Rai. I stayed in the "La vie en Rose" because I did not find a nice hotel at that time (end of July 2012), all hotels I liked (a little bit cheaper ...) have been sold out. That's why I decided to go to the a little bit more expensive hotel, but the additional money was it worth, price / quality ratio is fine! I can recommend this hotel in Chaing Rai.

Really good price hotel. First, the price is low. The room is big enough and clean, even in the bathroom there were some little ant just as normal. The staff were great, even English were not really good, but was fair the communicate. They were very helpful and show me they really using the heart to serve me. Hotel is providing simple breakfast such as fried rice, bread, sausage and ham, good taste. Although the swimming pool is not big, that is enough for swimming. Only one thing the guest need to have caution is the location is not easy to find. If u drive yourself please be careful the google map gps may guide you a wrong way. But the road nearby the hotel, there are many signs of this hotel, u should take awareness. Overall, the hotel is very very good, I will go here again the next time in Chiang Rai.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Chiang Rai. The hotel was about a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The receptionist spoke English and were able to communicate with us for any of our needs during our stay. The hotel has a free shuttle each night to the Night Bazaar which was great! We also rented a scooter from a company that was advertised at the front desk, and the staff at the resort made sure the booking went smoothly for us. They all work very hard! The room was very clean. Nothing fancy or big, however we did not expect that when booking, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We didn’t use the pool, but it did look very nice and well maintained. The free breakfast was great as well. They did have some of the same dishes each day, but there was plenty of food to choose from, and we were quite happy! We would definitely recommend this hotel to people travelling to Chiang Rai :)

We decided to take a short side trip to Chiang Rai before our plans to celebrate Loy Krathong in Chiang Mai and we are so glad that we did! Such a beautiful city full of the friendliest, most accommodating people. Wherever we went, we were greeted with smiles and the people are very genuine and kind and the city is relaxed and has not been taken over by tourists. The location was a little trek away from the main part of town but we had rented a scooter from the lobby and had a great time exploring the city. The hotel is only 3 months old so everything is in working order and clean. Bed is very comfortable and the location is peaceful. The staff at the villa are amazing! My girlfriend left her purse in the lobby with no ID and a lot of money. We didn't realize that it was missing until the end of the day and when we were rushing out to retrace our steps we decided to stop and ask at the front desk and the very kind and friendly manager asked for a description and was so happy to return it to us. We were floored... literally, as my girlfriend had close to $500 in her purse! My apologies for the long review but I just had to share that story as we were so touched. The manager was the best, not just for her honesty but she was extremely personable, spoke great english, and was very helpful! :) We have already decided to come back to Chiang Rai and this is where we will always stay.

This newly constructed hotel is in a quiet section of Chiang Rai with of convenient restaurants in close proximity, and a 7/11 & Big C Department Store within walking distance. I would suggest getting the Uber or Grap app. to acquire a cheap ride anywhere in Chiang Rai ie. White Temple etc. Rooms were under 25USD WHICH MADE IT A PLUS PLUS FOR ME. Big bang for the buck!

We have booked for 4 persons and stay 1 night in Chiang Rai at this hotel. Overall, the room is presented quite good, clean and big size for 4 persons. The breakfast is considered good choices but will be good to have more local foods choices. The receiption lady was good and efficienta nd polite to us with good English communication skills. Overall, we are happy with this hotel and will recommend it to others.

B2 is a Best Value room in chiang Rai. What you paid and what you got the clean room is very very value. 10 min walk to night bazzar and bus terminal 1. Hot water at hotel recepttion. There is barbecue buffet dinner just around the corner of B2 hotel which is only 169THB. clean and Hygiene is ok. there is small shops which baking bread everyday. simple bread is sooooo soft and tasty 15THB.

what a find this place was! the hotel is almost new and given that fact and the season we almost had it to ourselves to enjoy.the pool is very nice as are the staff, who incidentally are of a christian bent. the location is off the beaten path from the centre of chiang rai but in honesty, chiang rai itself is a lousy place. being in a neighborhood away from the center was good but make sure you can get the taxi to find the hotel. we had a native thai speaker with us and this proved challenging... if you go to chiang rai this is the place to stay.

This is a nice little hotel with well-designed building and garden. It is super cozy as if you are staying at a friend's place. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. You can have yummy sandwiches and Pa-Tong-Go (Thai unsweetened Churos, in my opinion) for your breakfast with your choice of drink. And that's just enough to get, set, go. ;) It is quite difficult to find the hotel though. If you travel by car, you may need to use mapping apps in your mobile phone (which is what i did) or some sort of GPS navigator. If you come to Chiang Rai by mass transport (plane/bus), you may need to hire a taxi. Or perhaps the best thing is to consult the hotel staffs before you book the room.

Lovely guesthouse, I think it was old school or something that was changed to guesthouse. Great rooms, with comfy beds. Breakfast was nice as well, although I'm not used to eat so heavily (warm dishes) in the morning. You can also cook your own eggs there. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Location is very central, next to night market, the clock tower and bus terminal 1.

Spent two nights here room only. On check in cashier said I am room only but very welcome to complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was good, the hotel is deceptively large but it still feels intimate. The room was fine and for the money paid the Rama was a great deal. I even referred them to uber which began in Chiang Rai on the day of arrival and proved to be also a good deal. Go to Chivit restaurant for great food in a character setting by the river. If you want street food this too was good just round the corner by the petrol station or the night bazaar both less than five mins walk. Would easily stop there again great staff and great value
