"This is one of the best 4-star hotels that is very much like a 5-star hotel. The lobby is just super nice and grand. Excellent first impression. Staff at check-in desk was friendly and attended to our request to have a room on a higher floor and away from the lift seriously. We were very satisfied with our room. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Air-conditioner was working perfectly fine. It has everything we could ever ask for in a hotel. Location is great. About 5-10 minutes walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT station, depending on how fast do you walk. There are quite a lot of different types of restaurants, eateries and hawker centres around. Fair Price supermarket is just across the street. Things which could be better: The staff who helps hotel guests to get taxi could be more proactive and friendlier. If the hotel room could also provide amenity pack with cotton bud and cotton pads, that would be great. The bed and pillows are too soft for me. "

"Yes the room is small, but they put everything you need in that tiny room. There is a toiletries set provided to you daily, hair dryer, water boiler, LCD TV, locker, hangers and distilled water. The toilet is actually larger than I expected. The best thing about this hotel is its perfect location. Only 3 minutes walk from the MRT station. There are many shops and restaurants just downstairs. The famous Chinatown Yakun and Spizza are 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The corridors and rooms are a bit dark but for me it is acceptable. It is a little noise coming from the construction site near by. Yet, my Singaporean friend said this hotel is relatively expensive for a hotel in Chinatown."

"iStay Inn was an amazing experience. At first when looking at the pictures, I was unsure, because of the artwork on the wall. But once I got there, it had a very quint feeling to it, just felt like staying at a friend's place. Don't be fooled by the 'urban art', this was just a theme to the hostel and the rooms were white and clean. The staff was amazing and very friendly, I ended up becoming friends with the owner of the hostel. She's an amazing person and always there to help. Makes an effort to make sure you have a good stay at the hostel. The people I met at the hostel were great also, they were very respectful of the after 11pm quiet time. At night, you can just sit outside (like a balcony), and just chat with other travellers. It was pretty cool. The room itself was very clean and air-conditioned. It was sufficient room for me (solo) and it had lockers, bed lamp and outlet plug for each bed. I stayed in a room with no windows which I liked because it was quiet, but even the windowed rooms were pretty quiet (the hostel was away from all the bars). Location, you can't beat this location, it's at the prime area in Chinatown, and you're walking distance from Club st. (The street with bars and restaurants). Even though, you're one street off Club st., I couldn't hear any noise from that street. And you definitely couldn't hear any noise from Chinatown. Facilities, the washroom was very clean and the showers were fine. Don't expect it to be luxurious, it just has the basics soap / shampoo. For breakfast, there was free fruit and bread which you can use to toast, and some peanut butter and jam. Nothing fancy, it was sufficient. I think for what you pay for, it's a great deal. My criteria's for choosing a hostel was that it was clean, quiet and location, and iStay Inn satisfied all 3. Thanks for making my experience in Singapore memorable. If I plan to come back, I'll definitely stay at iStay Inn again! "
