The Dorsett is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Not only is it in a fantastic location, the staff are extremely attentive and helpful as well, and everything down to the room and bathroom sizes and amenities are excellent by Singapore standards. The hotel is at one end of Chinatown and almost on top of the Outram Park MRT stations, which also happens to be a direct line to the airport. In fact one of the MRT exits are in the building adjacent to the hotel. Places of interest for shopping, entertainment and eating out such as Chinatown, Sentosa, Clarke Quay and Little India are either within walking distance or 2-3 stops away by MRT. Our room was also quite spacious and the bathroom was clean and even had a rainfall shower. The hotel also replenished toiletries every day, and the toiletries were of very good quality. There was free wi-fi inside the room, a coffee maker, work desk and a large LCD TV along with numerous international power sockets. However, our best experience was the service - check-in was a breeze and the lady behind the counter even gave us complimentary early check in without our having to ask. (Usual check-in time is 2 pm but we had reached at 12 noon). She also chatted with us and made us feel at home. We faced an issue when the bathroom light switch suddenly stopped working, but it was fixed within 5 minutes of our informing housekeeping. I have been to many hotels worldwide, but I will always remember my stay in Dorsett as they did not take their amazing location for granted but also added to it with excellent facilities and service with a smile.

rooms are great! interiors are newly renovated/furnished with good airconditioning. we particulary liked the large bed with good beddings. the room also has separate bath tub and shower stall with hot and cold water. houskeeping were attentive to needs of guests. complimentary coffee/tea were replenished daily. toilet and bath has sufficient toiletries. housekeeping leaves note to guests that they tried to clean the room but did not do so because of the guest's "do not disturb" sign on the door. the hotel is located near shopping malls and restaurants/bars (clark quay, central mall, people's park, etc.) banks/ATM and convenience stores (7/11) are also located nearby. chinatown MRT station is just a 5min walk. bus station is also located across the street. personnel were also helpful in getting taxis for guests. broadband internet is available in room but could have been better if there is wireless internet access in rooms as well. we stayed sept24-29 during Formula 1's 1st night street race and we did not experience any problem in checking in/out considering the number of tourists at that time. we will definitely stay in this hotel again and will surely recommend it to family and friends!

It was our second staycation and Porcelain Hotel.The first time we stayed, the hotel person upgraded our room to the Premier one.It was really nice of her. It was totaly lovely! The room was big,cozy and it even has a jacuzzi! We stayed for a night but extended the hours till 5pm instead of checking out at 12pm. The second time, i booked the Standard room but the room which was given to us was on the 1st level. At first i was quite hesitant because it is on the first level but then once i entered the room,i almost forgot that it was on the first level. That's because i love the coziness feeling in that room. The bed was very comfy and the toilet was big too. Overall, i had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. I like the area too as we can find quite a lot of food there and it's pretty convenient. As I'm pretty quite familiar with the area, it can be a walking distance to places like Raffles Place and there are many bus service available too. Best is it is near the Chinatown Mrt Station. Good food good and good people around. Oh we had delicious Durian Pancake too! Jumbo size for $2.50.They have it for a regular size too but best to have it Jumbo. Hot pancake which they do for you on the spot filled with cold durian fillings! The taste is great! So many food! Overall, the hotel is just perfect stay for us both. Hotel Mono is a simple boutique hotel located strategically at Singapore's Chinatown. It's monochrome minimalist design made this property stands out from the others. The location is superb. Close by to Chinatown MRT station, where you can travel from/to Changi airport, close to several bus stops, within walking distance to Marina Bay Sands/Gardens by the Bay, loads of dining options in the vicinity of the property. This is my second stay at this property and I would definitely come back again.

I really loved this hotel and have already recommended it to friends and would definitely stay again. It was more affordable for a double-room than anywhere else we saw in Singapore, and it was clean and tidy, walking distance to Sentosa and Chinatown and two MRT stations, and the bus stop outside is on a route that covers Harbourfront Station, Chinatown, Orchard Rd, etc. I had a bad fever during my trip because of bronchitis, and the staff were extremely helpful and kind, and very concerned for my welfare, which I really appreciated.

As visiting Singapore General Hospital every day this was very good location being around 10 minutes walk away. That apart the location is still very good as Outram park and Chinatown mrt stations only 5 minutes walk away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and even a 7/11 50 meters away. The heart of Chinatown is also only a few minutes walk. People often complain about room size at this type of hotel of which there a few in the area. Staying on my own and paying a little more for a DL Queen I found the room ample and would have been OK for two. Room had fridge, tea coffee making facilities, excellent free wifi and TV though if you watch TV in your room then this was a downside as only 2 watchable English channels, CNBC which is just US business news and an HBO film channel. The free breakfast is simple but was OK for me. If you are expecting 4/5 star facilities and room they you are looking at the wrong place and in Singapore expect to pay substantially more.

Overall we really satisfied with this hotel. We spend 4 nights in this hotel, the bedroom and the bathroom always in clean condition. Hotel location was very strategic, only a few meters away from Chinatown MRT Station and Chinatown Point Bus stop. There's also lots of food outside this hotel for 24 hour. Receptionist was excellent, our check in and check out process less than 1 minute.

New, Clean, Near Chinatown MRT station with good service from hotel staffs (front staffs, maid, bar staffs) Value for money, clean, hotel staffs are so helpful. We're also got the big glasses of welcome drink (Alcohol / Non,Alcohol), so surprised Hotel is located in the Chinatown area which is not far from Chinatown MRT station, just 3,4 mins walk thru the Pagoda St. This hotel is on the corner of Mosque St. There're so many restaurants around (noodles, seafood, Thai food, Chinese food, ...). Room has only 2 small awning windows in room and 2 in the bathroom. 1 thing that's not ok, room has high humidity, it's too damp after turn off air conditioner and after opened restroom door. All in,room furniture surface (TV, drawers, desk, room door,....), luggage, iPhone, iPad, camera, power cords.... becoming damp by water vapor!! Hotel should have humidity control system because it's not good for health & hotel stuffs.

Our stay at the Bliss Hotel was short but definitel worth it. We got the Standard King room at a very good rate plus booking with Agoda allowed us to get an early bird discount. We didn't realize how small the room was until we walked in. The size didn't bother us that much since it was roomy enough to fit 1 big & 1 small luggage, & what we shopped for the day. I was surprised to find that the bed was fit exactly to the room. You can only enter the bed from the foot, not from the sides, because the sides were the walls of the room already. The bed, pillows & comforter were very comfy & clean. I can't say the same for the walls though. They had some scratches already, much like how luggages would leave marks when they scratch white walls. I hope this plus my concern below gets addressed (if my memory serves me right, we stayed in room 3016). The bathroom size was just right. My only complaint would probably be for the shower. The shower glass door didn't have a water stopper at the bottom so the water spilled out to the toilet area (which is right outside the shower area) every time the shower was on. This left us with a wet & messy bathroom for the entire duration of our stay. The towel that's supposed to be for the bathroom floor didn't help stop the water from spilling out because it gets soaked up within minutes of leaving the shower on. The staff were very friendly & can speak English properly. They readily recommended alternative routes to take for places we wanted to go to. The hotel also has brochures available at the front desk which features famous sights and activities around the city. The hotel is very easy to locate as it is right across the Chinatown MRT station. If your can driver isn't familiar with the place, just tell him to take you to Hotel 81 on Upper Cross Street & he'll know where it is. This hotel is right beside Bliss. Overall, thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely consider Bliss Hotel again when we return to Singapore.

A very satisfy staying experience. New, clean, comfortable hotel. Value for every penny we paid. Although the nearest MRT station, Ortram Park is around 10-15 minutes from the hotel, it is still within walking distance. Quite many choice of food around this area. Just 1 or 2 station from MRT if you want to go to Chinatown, Clark Quay. Orchard and Bugis are also 4 stations away. Strategic place. Recommended for budget traveller.

I booked rooftop room with terrace. Always small rooms in Singapore but this was pretty big. Nicely decorated and clean. Great having a bit of outdoor space on the roof terrace - table and chairs plus clawfoot bath if you wanted to soak/cool down after a hard days sightseeing. Air con worked a treat - always a bonus in Singapores heat. Great location, super close to Outram Park MRT and a little bit further from Chinatown MRT. Nice street of hotels and bars/restaurants. Not too noisy. Close to Chinatown for sightseeing/food. Really enjoyed my stay. If you want standard big chain hotel facilities then probs not for you but if you like a bit funky/different, then its the go. Breakfast pretty average - only downside but I wasn't too fussed about that. Overall, I would recommend

I really like this hotel because of its location. It's close to the Chinatown MRT station, it's next to the market and the hawker centers. The room is small but the bathroom has a quite decent size. The only thing that was a little bit disappoionting was a leakage from the sink in the bathroom. It left some water on the floor constantly. You have to be aware that the hotel doesn't have any lift so handling heavy suitcase can be physically demanding.

The room is a little bit too small if you are travelling with huge luggage. The bed, however, is big enough for me (probably can accommodate 2-3 pax) and super comfy too. I love the location, very close to Chinatown, several malls and MRT station. Staff are also very helpful. One of them help to carry my luggage to the 3rd floor. The other one help me with my iron's request

The hotel is not a masterpiece, but quite good for their money. The room is not very large, but quite good. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Water was brought to the room every day. Electric kettle, tea, coffee, bath accessories - everything is. Maybe not high quality, but good for this price. Nice large window in the room. No balcony - smoking in front of the hotel. Excellent location surrounded by restaurants, both European and Asian cuisine. Less than 5 minutes walking distance to 7-Eleven and to the Chinese market and food-court. Bus stop nearby, 2 MRT stations (Tiong Bahru EW17 and Outram Park EW 16) about 1 km away from the hotel.

Place was clean and the room was neat. Food was readily available everywhere. Only down side is that Outram MRT and Tiong Bahru MRT is about a 10minute walk away from the hotel. And since the corridors are pretty long between different wings, you could hear the corridor conversations when certain guests spoke loudly. Free parking for guests was a bonus for my visitors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Six Senses Duxton, from the smooth check in to the 10/10 service from the staff our stay was nothing short of fabulous. We were disappointed to find out that the pool at Maxwell was shut for an event but reception offered us an amazing solution and we ended up dining at The Yellow Pot (recommend the mee sua noodles and the sirloin black pepper beef cubes). We booked the Opium room and I was thrilled to soak up the chinoiserie and dark mysterious vibe from A. Hempel. We even headed to the Maxwell location for a western breakfast the following morning, think sourdough croissant, banana parfait, eggs Benedict crab cakes, chicken waffles to name a few of our selects. I would absolutely return again and perhaps book a different suite the next time:-)

We booked at chinatown but was upgraded to ann siang hill branch which is just a few minutes walk away. And was upgraded to 500sqft unit with one bedroom. Location is great, just near chinatown, a lot of food stalls nearby. Got a separate bedroom at the loft, with tv. A dining room, a living room with netflix. The entire unit was airconditioned. With 2 fridge, microwave, kitchen utensils (plates, bowls, spoons, knives, glasses, pitcher) with stove and pots, with washer and dryer. They provided, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, hand soap aside from shampoo and body soap. Phone is provided, Staffs are nice, easily contactable. But be careful not to spoil anything as will be charged. Was planning to pay the deposit through cash but it will be a hassle setting an appointment with the staff of the checkout day just to return the deposit since they’ll just be available during office hours. Decided to use card instead (and would probably have some processing charges from my bank).
