We were a traveling family of 4 and stayed in the Museum Room. We had a huge, comfy bed and the kids had a large bed in a loft upstairs. The museum was out front of our room and the kids loved it. Also, the restaurant was just steps away. The food was also phenomenal and the most creative menu we saw in the whole area. Best hotel, best value...highly recommend!

We were a family of 4 (2 adults& 2 kids aged 17 & 8). We booked in for a stay at the property for 4 days. We decided that it would be best to have 2 rooms so that we could ensure a relaxed stay. Our only request at the time of booking was that the rooms be preferably interconnected..was given due preference. We were in fact looking forward to a nice unwinding stay at F...

I loved everything about Tissa's, walking distance to everything as its central, five minutes from Kathakali, ten minutes from beach and fishing nets, and half an hour to Jew Town (although you might rather get a tuktuk if it's very hot!). The rooms are spacious, bathrooms super-clean and modern, and the lighting good, which is not the case in some Indian hotels. The...

Booked 2 nights at Malabar house as part of south India tour. Lovely setting with tree covered courtyards in central fort kochin. Excellent birthday dinner for my partner with plenty of fish and veggie options and a cake on the house! Comfortable rooms with excellent facilities. Thought the swimming pool was rather small for a hotel of this standard. Overall I reco...

I have nothing to complain even how hard I try to think of something. The hotel, the staffs, pool, facilities are simply superb. Worth every penny. Choices for breakfast is limited but the food was extremely delicious. I tried almost all options they had on menu. Room is beautiful, pool is small but perfect for a quiet getaway. Its at a beautiful spot in Fort Kochi. T...

Our last night in Kerala. We booked a deluxe room. The hotel has character being about 200 yrs old and a former court House. Everything is nice about the hotel. The room, bathroom. The best part of the hotel were it's staff - terrific. But we did not realise the hotel lacked the following: 1. No views. The windows are blocked by a wall. Therefore black out curtain...

My stay was excellent from beginning till the end. The staff were caring, food was excellent, design of the property is elegant and refined. Apart from the fact that the basic rooms are a bit undersized and not well soundproof, everything was excellent. However, the price charged for the room and the food is excessive for India. Even if the quality is top notch and it...

For a Budgeted Traveller : Best place to stay in Kochi. For the price i paid for a room was the best deal in my trip. I booked Starndard Double Bedroom Suite for 1250/- per night. My Stay was for 3 nights. Its a service apartment - 3 star hotel, located in a Residential Area, So dont expect an amazing view from your Window. Safe and comfortable. The reception staff ...

The location is close to fishing nets and next to the bus terminal. It is not as touristy but you are within 5 minutes to main part of Fort Kochi town. Breakfast is western and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Hot water shower is a bit erratic though.

This is a small, boutique style hotel in the backstreets of Mattancherry, Fort Kochi. It is a few minutes walks from the interesting tourist/craft shops and a tuk tuk ride (or longer walk) to the Chinese Fishing Nets of Fort Koch where there are also good restaurants, cafes and spice shops. The hotel is exceptionally clean, with efficient and friendly staff. Breakfast ...

Browsing through the streets of fort kochi, you are suddenly greeted by a differently pleasant looking entrance and your world just changes! The view is awesome, every single piece in the place looks carefully chosen and you could spend hours just thinking about how the place was made. To top it their excellent staff, great food, super clean rooms..... it has been my b...

Our tuktuk driver had trouble finding hotel from train station. Down a small alley behind 18 Hotel. The room was very good. Comfortable bed. Flatscreen TV. Nice bathroom. Manager helpful when I booked 2 rooms at our next hotel instead of 1. Booked us a tuktuk to do some shopping. ask for Aslam. He was great. Breakfast was good. All staff friendly and helpful. Location ...

First of all let me tell u how I feel for the very first arriving. The owners welcome me with a smile and their service is the best ever. They treat me like a family and the hotel is in a good location. One minute walk from the last airport bus stop. The hotel facilities are perfect, the air con, TV, hot water shower. All perfect. The rooftop restaurant has various cho...

We simply loved this place. A great find just a 3 min walk to the famous Chinese fishing nets in Fort Kochi. The hotel is well preserved and charming and even though it is in a busy location, the hotel exudes quiet. The room (superior ground level) was large, beautifully decorated and very comfortable (including the bed). What makes this property so special is the ...

It was exceptionally good for value in terms of location, service and room size! I was very pleased with the distance from the Chinese fishing nets...and local tour guides/taxis. Opposite the place is a Masjod which was perfct as we are Muslim - and there were Womens facilities too!! Bonus! There is also a theatre across the road which had a traditional play on. Wasn'...

Hotel location are good since its near to the beach, chinese fishing net and many more land marks such jew saygnage, musem etc... the hotel is equipped with old hotels system which needs to be enhanced as well as rooms cleanliness... i wont recommend if a person is thinking of a 3 star hotel i would rank it as a 1 or 1.5 star

a good hotel called abad hotel! a large room, very clean with a huge comfortable bed – clean sheets and towels. the bathroom was ‘tired’ but clean, wet room style with shower curtain and plenty of hot water at all times. good aircon and a fridge. you can purchase wifi for use in your room. breakfast was eggs, pineapple juice, ceriel, tea/coffee – the usual! the...

Peaceful, pleasant hotel with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Excellent location, only a few minutes walk to the shore and the Chinese fishing nets, as well as many restaurants. Staff were helpful and supplied a packed breakfast as well as booking a taxi to the airport when I was checking out at 5am. Breakfast was fine, nothing spectacular, but served on ...

we stayed at this hotel for one night as part of our kerala trip. this is not really like other hotels that we have stayed in kerala. the hotel still gives the feelings of the colonial past. the decoration and the furniture’s are kind of unique and not found in other hotels. if you are fond of historical past then you will like this place. if you are looking for a mod...

Really enjoyed our stay here and would stay there again. Our room (301) had a small balcony overlooking a quiet street and the room was large, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel's location is a short stroll from the Chinese fishing nets that line the water. We slept really well there.

Pretty average accommodation. We might have been unlucky but the storey goes like this: The taxi from the airport couldn't find the accommodation The room was clean but we has to ask of a second towel The bed was without sheets upon arrival And we gave up on waiting for the hot water

Had a comfortable stay, with great restaurants near by. We specially enjoyed the Oceanos restaurant next door and Dal Roti around the corner. Major sights like the fishing nets were a short walking distance and the surrounding streets were nice and quiet for taking in the sights ( a great change from the motorbikes which can drive you crazy in some Indian towns). A tuk...

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. It's very close of "Chinese fishnet" and connection to other island are very practical. We got the room First floor "with a view". Staff is very gentle and helpful. Nota: The nice picture of the swimming pool is from the hotel next door, not in Fort Castle :)
