Hotels near Chow Kit Monorail Station

Stayed here whilst attending the F1 Grand Prix. This is an impressive looking 800 room hotel and has all the facilities you would expect from a hotel this size. Our room was large and had a great view of the twin towers and KL city. Bathroom was good with all usual facilities and was clean. Air con worked very well (important in KL) and had good thick curtains to keep out the morning sun. We ate at the Indian buffet which was delicious and the service in here and the food was first class (and you get 30% off if you are an in-house guest). Breakfast was very good and lots of choice (both western and Asian) and the kitchen is fronted by a glass screen so you can always ask for other items if they are not out on the day. Kasbah bar is a nice bar which shows sports and has Kareoke. The barman here is very cheerful, helpful and deserving of a mention. The location of this hotel is good with it being 100m from Chow Kit monorail station. There is no wifi which is a shame as you have to pay to use the business centre to use internet. Also they will not let you sign for bills etc, you have to pay in cash as you go along, which sometimes is a pain. All in all, a good hotel with good food and drink options. It did seem that there were few westerners staying here, it seems very popular with the Malaysians, and in particular Indian tour groups. I would recommend this hotel.

We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and even if the rooms with view to the Petronas towers were already occupied, the receptionist was very kind and finally discovered one for us as we only spent a night in Kuala Lumpur. The view was fantastic, both at night or during day time..... The room was big, modern, clean, well equipped (minibar, tea/coffee facilities included). The only negative was the lack of socket adaptors at the reception desk (they were already given to other European guests), we had to buy one from the mall opposite to the hotel. Breakfast was diversified for all desires. The hotel's position (in Chow Kit, in the north-western part of the city), even if not very close to the center of the city, was well connected by the skytrain a few steps away. Also for the tourists interested in visiting the Batu Caves, the Putra train station is a few minutes from the hotel. There are no safety problems in the neighbourhood. We would return one day and stay in the Seri Pacific Hotel again!

great location since this hotel located at chow kit, a sub-district in central kuala lumpur, malaysia. chow kit is also known as the red-light district of kuala lumpur. the chow kit monorail station is situated in this area and the pwtc lrt station is located nearby. however, this location will turn up to be more quiet during hari raya puasa holidays since most of the population back to hometown for the holiday celebration. with this, we can slow down our step for enjoying this place without crowd of people during the period. otherwise, this place always crowd of people and jam everywhere!

This is a no thrills hotel, it was acceptable and clean enough couldn’t complain for the price. I think where they let themselves down is the shower, across the window it needed a wipe down and the shutters on the window had a lot of soap splashes on them and they needed a simple wipe. Plus the tiles on the wall were white with yellow stain on them which could be easily sorted with a monthly steam clean regime. Breakfast is humble, as you would expect for the modest price. But it’s hearty and does the trick there’s plenty of venues and street food straight outside open for breakfast. The amount we paid reflects the the quality and I was happy enough. I’ve stayed in UK chain hotels on motorways that have been of a similar standard and charged disproportionately. The kids quite happily streamed YouTube etc on their iPads with no buffering on the free WiFi. Staff were all pleasant and friendly - although I did get the impression they were a little bemused at having a British couple with children in downtown Chow Kit. As for Chow Kit don’t be put off by it, we travelled there 10 years ago and we were the only Brits about. Now there’s quite a lot of travellers walking about of all nationality’s.

Nice room with daily room cleaning service, rooms have hot water kettle with coffee and tea and 2 waters daily, air conditioner blows cold but the shower head could use an upgrade. It’s an old style hand held that’s very difficult to position on the shower wall and is pretty grungy, the hot water heater also makes a ton of noise when it’s in use, it’s the only disappointment of our stay. Hotel staff was wonderful, there’s a front door man that will open the door for you every time you arrive or depart the hotel. The breakfast buffet is terrific with a couple meat dishes, usually a Malay chicken curry and a deep fried chicken egg roll, there’s noodle soup that you assemble yourself and rice soup with condiments, there’s an omelet bar, pastries and fruits, orange juice and very good coffee, the buffet was the best part about our stay, we looked forward to it every morning. Location is half decent, a 7-11 and KFC 2 blocks away, 6 blocks away is a large shopping mall

Being a low budget hotel, there is nothing much we can comment. Everything were so fine. The only drawback is water dispenser not working at all at all floor. Can't make myself a good breakfast although I had brought own cup and 3 in 1 coffee satchel. Good location, walking distance to shopping malls, Jalan TAR, monorail station, bus station etc. Cleanliness is above satisfactory. Staff is ok. Parking available in front of the hotel.

Pros- clean hotel, fast lift, friendly staff, pool with great view, lots of parking(basement and level 6), about 5 minutes walk to chow kit monorail Cons- parking at basement have no lift to lobby and need to use two level stairs to reach lobby, location at a crowded area(a bit busy at some time but not all the time) Suggestion - maybe put something at the pool so that guest can enjoy the pool without direct sunlight

No complaint as this is a great budget hotel near Chow Kit area. Cheaper rate with further discount are available through Agoda website, below RM100. Staffs are polite and helpful to arrange Grab Car (taxi) for you. Can see KLCC Twin Towers directly from room window. Will return if I come back to KL next time. We also have great time at the swimming pool located at 2nd Level. They also have a baby pool. The room is about 27 sqm , spacious enough for couple so cannot expect anything more. I would give this hotel 9/10 if they would change the dirty bathtub and the broken basin taps.

Apart from a few small cockroaches I have seen in the bathroom , my room was nice l Large with comfortable beds .The TV only had free Malaysia channels -2 of them blur...When I asked at reception a few minute later someone came up and fixed the problem . Wifi was VERY good . Drinking water was provided .For additional hot and cold drinking water there was a dispenser. Eating in the area is good and cheap-try the big hotel across the road .The Free GOKL buses stop 50 meters away from the hotel-Monorail 5 minutes walk For the price I paid -a bargain :-D

The hotel has friendly staff, good location. Its located near monorail Chow Kit with walking distance within 10 min. The food is 'ok' but not so good for me with the price tag RM 231 that I paid. The worst part of the hotel is their parking lot is near wet market which smells really BAD. The parking entrance is difficult to find if you are first timer. If they can improve their parking condition I think I am ok with the price tag.

First off, this hotel is located SO close to chow kit monorail station. The monorail is the best way to connect to most places in KL and the proximity to transit was the #1 reason I picked this hotel. To arrive at the hotel, take the KL express train (35RM) and get a budget taxi from the counter at the top of the KL sentral station (should be 18RM before 12am). I see that there is a 15RM KL Sentral transfer service but I wasn't able to book it with my booking...)There's a nice little local food market outside the hotel and a few 7/11 if you need some odds and ends (ie. Ice cream, slurpies and water haha). Front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind, even offering to send someone with me if I wanted to go out after dark to get food and felt scared. Breakfast in the am was nice and a great idea if you wanna head out exploring right away. The server mehdi was so kind and friendly. He met me with a smile every morning and made me feel right at home. Breakfast consists of coffee/tea, eggs (fried, omelette, scrambled) watermelon, cereal, bread to toast and orange juice. The room was average, no window but that makes for a better sleep I suppose. Clean bed, tv with movie channels if you need some white noise and reliable wifi. Oh, and air conditioning so when you're having a hot flash, you don't end up dying. The halls were super loud and echo-y when I stayed there, but again, all travellers should bring ear plugs. I enjoyed the close proximity to KL sentral station and bukit nanas station (pentronas twin towers, KLCC Centre etc.) and was super easy getting back to the airport when it was unfortunately time to leave. I'd stay here again :)

Located in the middle of chow kit market back alley. Not a nice view. But you can have a cheap meals and fruits from the market. 5-10 minutes walk to monorails and kampung baru. The hotel is quite old. Some of the room may not in good condition, I suggest check in early. If it's smell good, looks okay. Take it if you don't mind for a place to sleep at night. Hot and cold water machine at the lobby. There is a security at the lobby. Some hotels doesn't have security, the hooker will came knock your door at night. Or someone else came walking around the floor. Especially in very cheap hotels in this area. All from my experience stayed in Raja Laut area hotel. I think this hotel is safer than other budget hotel. Only guests allowed in.

This is a 35 year old business hotel, and signs of its age are everywhere. But it scores high on the standards of professionalism and cleanliness. PLEASE NOTE: The hotel is located in Chow Kit area, which, let's just say, is not exactly the sort of image that their tourism board wants to put in their publicity materials. Otherwise, the hotel itself is a nice place to stay - I would gladly return the next time.

I was greeted bu friendly and helpful reception staff upon arrival at 2.30am. One of the staff offered to park my car and I readily accepted his offer (As booth my wife and I were slightly drunk). The check in was swift and high efficient. And one of the staff offered to bring our luggage to our room. The room was spacious, clean, well lit, well designed with tasteful decor. The view of Twin Towers and Menara KL from our 7th storey window was superb! I'd recommend this hotel to everyone who wish to stay in Chow Kit area.
