We travelled with our 2-year-old to this amazing hotel. We were welcomed with a very warm staff member who also secretly noted down our kid's name. Our kid got sick in the second evening and threw up several times. We asked the hotel to prepare some congee in the middle of the night. The congee came quickly together with a children's story book with a kind note stating our kid's name and a lovely message to wish him get well soon. The hotel also called back and say they can arrange for hospital visit if needed. Staff members were very warm to us, in particular with the kid and would play and speak with him whenever they walk by. Facility-wise, the swimming pool was perfect. I had the best Spa experience ever (having been to probably a dozen Spas previously). The kids club was also fun and the staff members there were patient with kids. Highly recommend this hotel to all families who are travelling with young kids.

After staying in the hotel for three days, we failed to empty the room safe when we left and realized that we left our money inside only when we were already at Chiang Rai airport on the next leg of our tour. Unable to speak the language we made frantic calls to a friend in Bangkok ands requested her to make inquiries on our behalf unsure of whether or not we will still get our money back. To much of our surprise, we got everything back!!! The money will be sent by bank transfer to our friend in Bangkok. All of the complicated arrangements were taken care of by Ms Kamontip, a gracious lady at the Front Desk. Thank you very much Ms Kamontip!!!! The hotel itself is centrally located, Very clean! The room service food had generous servings and was very delicious!!! The staff are all cheerful, very solicitous and polite. We are definitely recommending the hotel to all who will visit Chiang Rai. You will surely be well taken care of. In more ways than one.

We spent 2 nights in Chiang Rai and didn't spend much time at the hotel but we were still extremely impressed. The staff were super friendly. Everyone greeted us as soon as they see and dropped everything they were doing and approached us to see if we needed anything. The location of the hotel is very close to the night bazaar and clock tower but was quiet enough for good night sleep. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Chiang Rai.

The room is nice and clean. I recommend the bungalows by the pools as the best atmosphere. An officer told me the hotel is 5-year old but still in good condition. The hotel is within a walk to the nice clock tower (watch it at 7, 8 or 9PM and you'll love it.), the Tongtung restuarant (which serves northern Thai foods at a very good price and classical dances), and other food choices along the clock tower road.

1. Location : In the heart of Chiang Rai town centre. Near to the Clock Tower (musical clock tower everyday at 7,8 & 9pm) only 10 mins walk. 2. Food : A lot of halal restaurant near Darunaman Mosque (only 5 mins walk from here). 3. Shopping : Night market open everyday (except Sunday) is 10 mins walk. Saturday Night Market is 5 mins walk. 7Eleven is just 3 mins walk & open 24 hrs. Central Plaza is 10 mins drive. 4. Facilities : Internet was very good in the room. Lift provided. Room and toilet very clean. Toiletries provided. Enough space for car park, just in front of the hotel. 5. Staff : Staffs were very polite and full of smile. 6. Value for money : For RM 89 per night its really worth the money!

The room was very spacious and comfortable with modern facilities provided. Great buffet breakfast and herbal juices. The most impressive thing was the cheerfulness and helpfulness of staff. They gave me a very good recommendation of where to travel even though I didn’t purchase them a traveling package. My husband likes the coffee shop closed by the hotel. We will stay there again if we have a chance to visit Chiang Rai next time. The hotel’s sign was too small so we first drove pass the hotel. However, the location was good. It is just few minutes to Clock Tower.

we booked here since it was also closed to shopping mall. we got a room ground floor with direct entry to the pool which was great with kids. So you can be at the room and watch them close too. the breakfast was nice! many dishes, buffe style and in a nice place on the 1st floor. the best veriety we had so far in Thailand. the room was clean, big and we had much fun staying there.

This is a three-star hotel hoping to convince customers it is a five-star hotel. My husband and I dislike huge office tower hotels and seek out low density, bucolic ones. Like the Legend, a hotel with bungalows sitting on acres of lovely landscaping. Sounds nice, doesn't it? And it is. Kind of. We had a standard room with the bed overwhelming the small room. The bed was rather on the hard side (something I cannot abide). It did have a creative design, which was not terribly clever or useful. It had an enormous shower room; but ...why? The construction of the rooms appeared rather slap-dash. Staff were perfectly nice, but did not go out of their way to help you. Breakfast was standard but not gourmet. And so on. You get the idea: a perfectly fine hotel if one is not accustomed to having the best. I think if you are not acclimated to five-star hotels, their poshness and high-level of service, you will like this hotel. We had, unfortunately, spent several days at the exceptional Chedi in Chiang Mai before coming here and couldn't handle the downgrade in our (spoiled) hotel lifestyle!

Me and wife stayed for a night in Chiang Rai hotel on 12th of Dec '15. Room and bathroom was very clean and very spacious. Bed was comfortable and our room had window with city view. They have a restaurant right below.The hotel is located in between Golden Clock Tower and Saturday walking street, both attractions are very near to hotel. There are clock tower free light shows at 7, 8, 9 pm. The staff were very helpful and arranged a taxi early in the morning at 05:30am to the airport. We worried about the reviews of ants and dirty rooms, but surprisingly there was no single ant and it was just perfect room. We really enjoyed the stay. The only setback is they don't have lift, so you need to use the staircase. We will come back again to this hotel in the future.

We stayed for New Year's Eve, and we were able to walk easily into the main part of town for dinner and the fireworks. It is maybe a 5 minute walk to the main street and 10 minutes to the clock tower. There is a nice pool, and included breakfast buffet. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is big and there are lots of beautiful wood touches, but it's a bit old. Our room was big enough, and clean. It seemed like a good family hotel.

The Rasa is a totally renovated hotel (used to be the Whitehouse) - looks and feels new! I gave 5 stars to them - 2nd time in my life to do this. My wife was surprised by how fast the internet was in our room. The beds were very comfortable, the room was large and bright. The only draw back from the entire hotel was the small, but highly functional bathroom - don't move fast, Thai or farang! My compliments to however did the design work. The breakfast is included in the price and is 5 star quality. You can guess which hotel I will be staying in on my next trips to Chiang Rai. A 10 minute walk will take you to the clock tower and another 3 minutes to the night market area or the town center.

Truly, this is my secret hideaway, as it seems to have everything I need. It is reasonably priced, and located in a very convenient area. It is smack bang right alongside the old AirForce Base (not used anymore) and is a popular running track for early morning joggers. Breakfast is very very Thai, and not attractive to many foreigners, however there is nothing stopping you taking your own breakfast cereals etc. The Hotel caters for many bus travelling groups, however they stay in the multi-person units, whereas more upmarket units are available which are quite attractive. The gym,spa and swimming pool are free to use by the Hotel guests.The township of Chiang Rai has many attractions, and cultural identities. Elephant Camps can also be found within 20 kms from the town outskirts. The night markets are big and enjoyable, and the local park is beautifully kept, with a huge arrange of flowers...the tulips are magnificent. The new Shopping Mall in Chiang Rai is brilliant, and especially caters for 'Farang' diners. Pimanninn value for money? For the first time ever, and I have submitted heaps of reviews for Agoda......5 Stars.....my favourite. Could quite easily live fulltime at this Hotel, as the AirAsia service to Bangkok and beyond is so convenient. I found this Hotel via Agoda, which didn't seem to contain many positive reviews about this Hotel, but I am ever so glad that I acquainted myself with this location, and will return in due course. Chiang Rai is old, but has a lot of lovely character, and is tucked away from all the hype and noise of other touristy places.

The place is true to the pictures and I love that it has a really nice and boutique feel to it. The rooms are super new and clean and with all the amenities of a hotel for a fraction of the price (except maybe a lift would be good :)). While it's just a little further from the clock tower (where all the activity is at), the place feels really safe as it is next to a hospital and the area is well lit at night, compared to some other accommodations nearer to the clock tower. There is also a lot of food (also due to the hospital) and a convenience store right outside the B&B. If you're driving around in Chiang Rai like I did, the place has its own parking lot which means no worries about finding parking when you get back! Would 100% stay again at this place and I really recommend anyone staying in Chiang Rai to stay here.

This was the best hotel we had during our 3 week trip to Thailand. It is a resort style hotel with 3 houses in a tastefully designed small garden with pool. The rooms are spacious, bright, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good and plenty. The staff well trained, extremely polite and utterly helpful. The pool is clean and had a nice temperature even in february. Everything seemed to be inspired by the spirit of the owner, an elderly lady with a very good command of English and a friendly personality. The hotel is in a calm and quite neighborhood which is a little far from the center, but they run shuttle buses, especially at night time but also during the day. It's in walking distance to the center though. It took us 20 minutes to walk to the Clock tower. They organised a private tour with a nice driver who drove very safely. Taxi to the airport was also organised, though a little expensive. Despite the calm setting it can get a little noisy du to the constructio

This newly constructed hotel is in a quiet section of Chiang Rai with of convenient restaurants in close proximity, and a 7/11 & Big C Department Store within walking distance. I would suggest getting the Uber or Grap app. to acquire a cheap ride anywhere in Chiang Rai ie. White Temple etc. Rooms were under 25USD WHICH MADE IT A PLUS PLUS FOR ME. Big bang for the buck!

I chose to stay in the hotel during the national sport game competition. At the night time of 26 Nov around 1 am-5am, there was a group of people returning from the party. They were keeping talking with a very noisy on the second floor without anything done from the hotel staff. It was very annoying. If the hotel can do anything to stop people doing any disturbance to other customers during the night time, I will definitely recommend another guest to choose this hotel. It is suitable for your budget and easy walk to night bazaar and clock tower.

i wasn't going to review this hotel because it is so nice, i don't want it to be full the next time i'm in town. very large rooms, and everything works. the only sounds are the wind chimes, the doves, and the clock that plays christmas caroles on the hour (that they turn off in the evening). the food is excellent and cheap. they charge too much for beer. the staff bends over backwards to make sure everything is perfect. the swimming pool gets a full day of sun. the internet is fast. only in thailand can you get this great a value!

This an exceptionally nice place: very clean, large bed w/ down comforter and nice pillows, an electric tea kettle, dishware, a microwave, plug-ins, .... lots of amenities-- by far the nicest place I've stayed in for under $20. The patio is peaceful. I could easily live here for a month. The staff doesn't speak any English, but the check-in process is straight forward: fill out guest card. There are many English signs and contact numbers. The staff seemed very business-like, not particularly welcoming, no hello in English or Thai-- but maybe because I don't speak Thai it's a bit intimidating. And I had just come from a trek, so I was dressed very casually.

excellent guesthouse! i will definitely come back here if i find myself in chiang rai again! the owner is super friendly, helping to find good food, arranging motobike rental, and making sure breakfast is setup for whenever you wake up! the room is basic, but clean. superb price, at only baht/nt. toilet and shower worked perfectly, and some shampoo and soap is provided. super cool television - just not a lot of channels, and none in english (not a surprise though). breakfast is rice, eggs, soup, toast, fruit, juice, coffee/tea. it's all self service, and you'll have to make your own eggs, but that's quick and easy. guests are expected to clean their own dishes. a very central location, only a couple blocks from the golden clock tower in the center of town. close to the evening market, good cafes, and local nightlife.
