"We got to the hotel quite late, so weren’t so keen on traipsing around at that point for a drink. Thankfully, after a smooth check-in, we found that the rooftop bar was open till about 2am so we managed to get a couple of drinks before bed. The room is clean and quite comfortable with all the amenities you would find in a good 4 star hotel. The breakfast buffet, was a decent spread of asian and western options which will keep you going till late afternoon. There is wifi through out the hotel, but it worked best at the roof top bar so you can put off your roaming and still be connected to the rest of the world. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the service at the bar/restaurants was pretty decent. When you do go out, you might need local currency and if you haven’t had the chance to exchange it, worry not because you can do so at the reception at a very good rate. The best aspect of the hotel for me was the location. The hotel is situated in the heart of District 1 and everything is walking distance from the hotel. You can find a city map in your room or at the reception and hold onto this for your trip, it’s very useful. Ranging from 5 to 20 minutes you can reach, the Ho Chi Minh city museum, War Reunification Palace, the War Remnant Museum, Notre Dam Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the Opera House, Ben Thanh market and even the riverside for a nice evening walk. You don’t feel like eating in the hotel, there are plenty of nice restaurants spread around the hotel ranging from local vietnamese pho to exotic french cuisines. There are quite a few bars around if you do take the effort to locate them if you want a good mix of the locals and expats. I however enjoyed drinking at the rooftop bar for nothing else but the fact that I was just knackered by the end of each day and didn’t have the energy to go out drinking. Everything is reasonably priced within the hotel as well. PS: Carry a bottle of water while you're out."

"Liberty Central's location is one of its beast features. Its very near the Ben Thank Market which my daughter and I enjoyed. The hotel is very clean, the room size is just nice and the bathroom is very clean and well appointed. The bed sheets are the same as what the other five star hotels are using. One other best features of the hotel is their restaurant where breakfast is served. We really loved the very dainty prints on the walls and the place is big and their breakfast buffet is great. The hotel's staff are very courteous and professional. The waiters are very accommodating and the food at the hotel is really delicious. We specially liked the prawn in sticky rice, its the best! Scallops were also good. when the tourist bus comes to fetch you. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay at Liberty Central."

"I cannot speak highly enough about the service I experienced in the hotel! Believe it or not I very rarely write reviews but felt obligated to in this case! From the moment I walked in everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I stayed for 4 days and can honestly say this hotel is well on its way to at least 4 stars! I rarely write reviews but all of the staff are committed to doing their absolute best from the front desk to the spa staff and my sweet cleaning lady. The hotel is still under construction which was a bit of a bummer, but despite this the actual facilities are very relaxing and well designed. The view on the roof is spectacular especially at night. Despite all the pros of this hotel I do have some areas of constructive feedback in the interest of helping to make it the best it can be: please put a fan or air con in the gym!! It’s a smaller space (still sufficient) but it gets very hot in there! Also, please add hooks to the bathroom in the lobby!"

"I look for value in hotels in SE Asia, because even the five star hotels in the region rarely deliver quality service. However, this little hotel surprised me with not only excellent value, but also excellent service from the staff. The hotel is very clean and newly renovated. The room is fairly small, but it is clean and modern. The shower had a strong water pressure and the water drained well. This is somewhat unusual because almost all the HCMC hotels I’ve stayed had bad drainage problems. They offer free minibar (just water and soft drinks) and afternoon tea, which I didn’t use. The breakfast was simply outstanding. The food was not anything too fancy, but almost everything was delicious and well prepared. Pho and coffee were my favorites. The staff, from the bellhop to the front desk to servers, was incredibly friendly and attentive. They were more than professional as they served with joy and kindness. The manager at the buffet, Suji, was the BEST. I will return!"

"Hotel is in a prime location. 1min walk from Street Food Market/Ben Thanh Market. Check-in: Staff very helpful with the luggage. Jenny at front desk was awesome. great smile very welcoming, always willing to help. greets you every morning/on return from daily trip out. Room: I had free upgrade room that was nice surprise. good choice of cable tv. in room safe provided. free bottles of water provided daily and replenished. bathroom - nice size, and constant hot water. Breakfast: Did not try but was part of booking. I think it is on 9/F. Negatives: When it rains can hear hard water hit the roof. The walls are thin so can hear noise from people above you/corridor. I have stayed in many hotels in district 1 over the years, for a small hotel this has been the best. I would recommend it for the price, welcoming staff, location. Look forward to my next booking there."

"I stayed for 4 nights at the hotel. The hospitality by the staffs were awesome, and genuine. Even tough I booked the no breakfast option for my room, we were given breakfast for the entire stay, gesture of goodwill as the hotel was recently opened. Only downside during the stay was the hot water shower pressure was not stable, so occasionally getting too hot or too cold. Overall, a pleasant stay. Getting a Grab to everywhere was convenient and cheap. "

"Hotel is walking distance from Ben Tanh Market. 10-15 min walk from Backpackers area. It is brand new so everything is nice. Rooms are good as well the shower. Breakfast is Buffet style. The hotel front desk is not that welcoming and takes some time to check in. The bell boy is super as he is does many jobs. He is the one of takes your luggage to the room, brings room service, books tour etc. He even came with me to get me a SIM card and also showed directions to some places I wanted to go. Without him service staff is mediocre at best. Some tips: Also just to let you know the 2 bottles in refrigerator are complimentary and the ones above are chargeable although they are of same brand and size. There is no note of it anywhere, just found that at the time of check out, was charged 3 USD for 2 small bottles which is bit steep by HCMC standards. Also booking tour with bell boy is cheaper than the hotel by few dollars, although they both offer the tour with the same company. Use your own phone to call places as the hotel rates are very high.
