My stay in Apo View Hotel located at the city center of Davao was a great pleasure for me. I have made the right decision to chosed this hotel inspite the room rate but it's worth it. Safety measures has been practiced from the time i arrived in the hotel till i left. Hotel staff were all smiling, accomodating, never you gonna feel that you are stranger on that place. Hospitality is the best selling point of the hotel coming from the natives of Davao's. All parts of the hotel were cleaned and properly arranged especially the room itself. And given a chance that i'll be back in Davao, i don't have the second thought of cosing Apo View Hotel again.....Thank you much guyz...job well done....

One of the best experiences in Davao was our stay in Seda Abreeza....really enjoyed my stay in Davao coz of my comfortable stay in Seda. After the tiring day in strolling around Davao, we had a nice stay in our hotel, very comfy,friendly staffs,walking distance to Abreeza mall is a plus,and my 3 year old son also enjoyed our first visit in Davao. Honestly,before I booked in a hotel the reviews really help me,BUT good thing I also use my instincts...coz I also read bad comments,like small pool,small lobby,small dining area,even the bathroom,small room,,,what more do you expect, you can't please everyone and some people are very perfectionist...Comparing the hotel to expensive hotels in Manila?! Duh! Sometimes, think also the price of your hotel, don't expect too much if the hotel is affordable....if you're a perfectionist costumer, pay a hotel worth 20k per night,and when it's not worth it, that's the time for you to complain...😝 I will definitely go back there with my family again! Overall, this is a good choice for a stay in Davao. However, there are a few things that the hotel could easily (and inexpensively) change that would provide for a much improved experience. (1) First, even though this is a relatively new hotel, the designers apparently didn't realize we're living in the digital age. Convenient outlets are lacking...so much so, that you have to crawl under the wardrobe area and unplug the mini-fridge in order to use the outlet for the in room coffee maker! (2) They installed the latest high-tech door locks, but NO in-room safe, (3) There a pool, Jacuzzi, and small work-out center on the 5th floor. The pool is very small-- which is not a big deal-- but since it Never gets any sun, it's ice cold (unusable for me). The Jacuzzi, on the contrary, is very large, but heated to only a very tepid, barely-warm temperature. They need to put some sort of solar collector on the pool. (4) Toilet paper is treated as though it's as valuable as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The smallest possible rolls are provided (just one) and there is no back up. Even when the holder is empty, it is often not replaced. Getting this simple item requires repeated calls to housekeeping or the front desk. Fix the above 4 items, and this would easily rank as a true 4-star hotel. In short, a pleasant stay -- but there are a few things that would greatly improve the experience.

I was booking at green windows dormitel a few months before staying there, the hotel is an FTC tower building and the green windows is located at the fifth floor. One block of the ground floor building is the entrance to the hotel, and it has an elevator and a stairway spiral with green glass walls to walk through in case you need some variation in mode of transport to the hotel floors. On arrival we were told that the room is a no smoking room and the cafeteria is at at the fifth floor where we can have our free breakfast. The staff is friendly and courteous enough to receive us, and lead us to our room at the 6th floor. The hallway is large enough and is carpeted. The room is just enough, the noise outside can not be heard inside the room, it has a cable tv a very cold aircon which we have to adjust the temperature from time to time. The hotel is a new hotel just a year old since operation. The walls of the hotel is made of green out p but without windows. The tree and the grasses that surrounds the hotel as seen online is non existing as it is surrounded by residences with old buildings. Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay as it is within the city center and close to other establishments, the people's park is just a walking distance where we roamed on Christmas night. Security is very important as well as there is a guard in every hotel floor, we have not lost any belonging.

We were mostly out of the room due to our tours. But whenever we come back, they have already cleaned the room, fixed the bedsheets, placed new towels... and best of all, our personal belongings remained UNTOUCHED. Our only concern was with the tour agency the hotel booked for us. We booked a 10hr COUNTRYSIDE tour (Phil Eagle Center, Eden Nature Park etc.,) plus CITY tour if we have remaining time. That was the agreed tour itinerary. But on the day of our tour, the tour agent told us that our rate was only for ONE Countryside and the rest is for City tour (as agreed by the agency and the hotel). We were not informed about the CHANGE of plans so we had no choice but to add Php500 just to avail the complete Countryside tour when supposedly that should have been our itinerary. Anyway, that was the only concern. The hotel amenities, location and cleanliness are tops!

Hello! I highly recommend this hotel in Davao city. The staff are friendly and will give you the best service possible. The room is clean as well as the bathroom. My accommodation includes buffet breakfast and I'm giving the breakfast food selections 5 stars. Few things that can be improved is their hot shower, please have it checked because your guests will highly favored hot showers in the evening after a long tiring day. The bathroom includes a bath tub which needed to have another look specifically the water stopper because it wasn't really working well. I would have wanted to enjoy a hot tub but I couldn't save water. I didn't bother to call and have it fix during my stay as I was already tired to wait for someone to take a look at it -- so this is for your future guests. Overall, it's worth the money staying at TRMH. Thank you.

i have stayed here a number of times now as well as at their sister hotel in ecoland (casa leticia business inn). both are very nice 3-star hotels and the best i have found for their price range in davao. if you want to stay close to the nightlife i would stay here. the net in good and the food is great. everything was nice and clean and everyone at the hotel was very professional. this is my 4th stay and will be staying here again i am sure.

this is the best budget hotel so far in davao city. hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city. considering that this hotel newly operated a few months back, it is evident that this is well managed. all staff were polite and helpful starting from the security guard, check-in counter and housekeeping. the best thing was that i was allowed an early check as i left my previous accomodation because i was not happy with the service provided. i would definitley check in this hotel next time i will be in davao.

i rather liked this hotel. clearly when it was first built it was probably five star but over the years it has matured like a fine wine. some may say it needs a coat of paint here and there but in my view all the essential things worked well. the bathroom was spacious but the water at times could have been hotter. the breakfast was very adequate and if there was something you wanted, like cereal, which they did not have they would get you your own special bowl! i thought the area round the pool could have been livelier and the ability to buy alcoholic drinks throughout the hotel could have been improved. it seems that beer and soft drinks were the order of the day. staff were superb and overall we had a nice stay. location was central near most of what you might need. downstairs they had a ballroom dancing club where you could buy drinks but to the accompaniment of tango music and many couples dancing rather reminiscent of the grand hotel eastbourne and another era!

I was originall going to book this Hotel but due to the previous reviews i changed my mind. I came and checked it out whilst i was staying elsewhere. For the price you will be hard pushed to find a better hotel in Davao. Its new and clean. The staff are great once they get to know you. My room faced the street which is busy but quietens down after 10pm. I think they are short staffed so they ask you to tell reception when you want your room cleaning. For the budget conscious they have fan rooms not advertised which i changed too for $10 a night for a double it is a shared bathroom which has about 5 showers but hey well worth it.still have wifi just no tv

I booked and check-in a standard room the same day, I really like using agoda for rushed booking because you can still get great and cheap deals for hotel like this. and what i stated in my booking request was delivered by this hotel. We had a smooth check-in. Though our only purpose is just to get a comfy rest through the night, there is a night market in the area if you want to go a little shopping and explore davao street food. My only concern is the hotel is still using an old fashioned door knob lock system and this kind of lock doesn't make you feel secure when leaving your stuff in the room. But overall our stay is very good with free breakfast. I can stay in this hotel again.

Bottom line: It’s an okay place to stay for one night, if no better options are available. Pros: great breakfast buffet, super friendly and helpful staff, and good location. Cons: Ants in the bathroom, TV lacks many channels, Aircon was cold but very windy to the point of distracting while in bed. Turning down the aircon a tiny bit made sleeping possible but then it’s too hot. Bathtub didn’t have a stopper so you can’t really use it for anything but showers anyway (was hoping to have an actual bath when I booked it) and the water never got really truly hot or even warm. It wasn’t ice cold but it wasn’t warm enough to be relaxing. All this wouldn’t be a problem if it was a cheap hotel (like the hotels in the 750-1000 peso range). But for a hotel in this price range I expected better.

the hotel staff was great, very helpful, though housekeeping could have been more at times consistent with keeping the room with more shower floor mates, sometimes hit or miss, room was comfortable, clean. The front desk personnel always helpful and very knowledgeable. the restaurant " tiggos" attached to hotel, the food was not bad but they were very inconsistent with their portions and found a thumb tack in my fiancées food. After that we never ate there again.

The location is👍. Walking distance to people's park. You can do jogging at the park early morning, many people do it and it feels like home. Bank's are nearby, so if easy to withdraw if you become broke 😁😂. The city hall, cathedral, parks, museo dabawenyo are within reach by foot. Enjoy walking because it's good as exercise. Not far from the museo dabawenyo is the D Bone musuem, make sure not to miss this. Museo dabawenyo and D bone musuem has tour guide, they give very informative details. It's 👍👍. Few blocks away from the hotel is the Penong's and Saging Repablik which happen to be in my itinerary, which makes the it great place to stay. Roxas night market, pasalubong center, bankerohan market, aldhevinco shopping center and Gmall are all within reach by foot. So enjoy walking.😊👣 711 is the nearest convenient store which is 3-5 minutes walk (depend how you walk 🚶) For the price, book day before or within the day, it is much cheaper. 😊👍 Before leaving the hotel, you triple check your belongings. Because during check out they will not inspect your room. After you hand over the keys, they will just say that you're good to go. The cleans are room, during check in they have this form, you have options if you like them to clean the room or not. This makes you feel more secure that once you leave the room on day time, they will not enter without your permission. So it's 👍👍👍

The staff is friendly and helpful. Our initial room has dimmed lights so we asked to be transferred. They were booked solid due to kadayawan event but were able to transfer the following day to a much better one. Love the convenience as it is walking distance to shopping, food, and City Hall. The only thing the owners should change are those dim lights. Replace it with bright ones because it was hard to open our luggage (TSA with codes). Also very straining to the eyes. Another one is the parking. If they clear some of the items on the side it may be easier to get out. Other than that if you don't have a vehicle, plenty of taxis and jeepneys.

Pros: budget friendly hotel Very kind and approachable owner Quiet place artistic interior Cons: Poor internet conection, u have to go out of your room to have a better conection. Room is (poorly)warmly lit. You need to open all the lights if you want to read a book. Location is inside the village. but Just a 4 to 5 minutes walk to the highway. Bonus: the owner is the mother of davao's renowed artist. Kublai. His works of art is exhibited in the hallway of the hotel where u can view it for free!

i had a great stay with my brother and nieces.rooms are big with a receiving area on the first floor with kitchen and extra comfort room. complimentary breakfast is great and staff are friendly. great swimming pool which is free to use. availability of wifi but need to purchase a card to access. i suggest that it will be better if they offer wifi access for free. i am looking forward to book in again on this hotel and will recommend this place to my friends with huge family. i am sure that they will enjoy their stay while exploring davao city.

Don Manaloto, the General Manager, is hands-on in the operation of the hotel-- one major factor why service is excellent. Every staff goes out of his way to provide total guest satisfaction. The location is best for guests who would like to be "far from the maddening crowd" yet close to the activity centres of the city. I commend Ronald who drove us around the various destinations in Davao City and also Abby, the Front Office Manager, who has trained her front-liners to always wear a smile and patiently attend to the requirements of the guests. I recommend this place to everyone-- value for money, a three-star facility with a five-star service excellence. I hope to be back for the Kadayawan 2016 event this August.

We booked a one-night stay at the Ponce Suites Gallery Hotel but had to move to another hotel at around midnight because an elderly member of our family found the artwork unsettling. That, of course, was by no means the hotel's fault and just goes to show that this hotel is most ideal for those who appreciate all things out of the ordinary. The walls of the corridors are covered floor to ceiling in photographs, paintings and sculptures. Not everyone may appreciate the artwork, but the experience of seeing them and how they turn the entire hotel into an art gallery is in itself engaging. The rooms are spartan but at the price they are offered at with breakfast included in the room rate, it is all beyond reasonable. Front desk staff may seem a tad shy but they immediately attend to guest's needs. The owner's sister responded to our email inquiries and she was a delight to correspond with. She even gave us a free room upgrade. Pizza at the restaurant was served with slices of Davao sausages, a flavor profile as unique as the hotel itself. All things considered, value for money is beyond compare.

Pros: -Accessible location. You can ride a jeepney in front of the hotel going to sasa wharf to samal. One ride to gmall, sm lanang, abreeza and robinsons. -Near San Pedro Cathedral, osmena park, d' bone collector museum, roxas market, peoples park, museo dabawenyo, city hall and freedom park (walking distance lang) or ride padyak or tricycle. - near bpi and bdo -restaurants everywhere -Clean room -free glutatione soap hahaha -free breakfast (but we failed to avail it) CONS -Noisy aircon -no elevator - hotel starts at the 3rd floor of the bldg. -not soundproof wall -broken deadlock -no hanger or any place to hang the towels.

Zen room is located inside Alu hotel. I checked the prices in Alu hotel and the cheapest room is Php2000 but I only paid Php910 for the room I booked here in Zen room. hehehe Thank you Agoda for the vouchers. It's cheap but the room is very spacious!! My boyfriend and I really loved it because it's clean, has a huge bed and the ambiance is very relaxing. It is right in front of Roxas Night Market so it's the best! The staff are also very kind. Our room was on the 4th floor but they have an elevator :D I would definitely come back here!

Pros: very spacious rooms (family and suites room), accessibility, cheap and budget hotel, relatively clean, security, lobby with hot and cold water, coffee available instantly, very homey environment Cons: Check in is 3pm onwards (they dont allow early check in but u can drop ur luggage at the reception), very poor t.v. signal, hot shower not consistently hot, kinda low water pressure in the morning, so-so beddings and linens Overall it was great for its price.

Location is right smack in Davao Downtown, we walked from here to everywhere: People's Park, museums, etc. It's also pretty close to Luz Kinilaw where the tuna kinilaw and bagaybay are a must-try. Towels and toiletries are provided and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast served consists of a cup of rice, some sauteed vegetables, fruit, egg, and meat of the day (ours was tocino for the first day and fish fillet for the second day). However, in room 207, internet connectivity was an issue - I connected to the wifi and it only said "Obtaining IP address" for hours so I just used my mobile data. Also, there were only two wall plugs in room 207 and the fridge and TV screen and receivers would need to be plugged in there if you need those facilities so there won't be any room for your chargers, etc. - bring an extension cord. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and made our Davao vacation all the more amazing.
