Traveling to Singapore from West coast USA is 17 hours nonstop. My wife and I arrived in Singapore early and jet lagged and came to this hotel at around 0800 to drop off our luggage. We planned to grab breakfast around the area, as many restaurants and convenience stores were directly below the hotel. Then, the unexpected happened and the lovely staff was able to accommodate us with an early check-in. Since we were able to check in early we had at it with the breakfast buffet included in our booking. I highly recommend you book with the breakfast buffet for incredibly delicious food and a large spread to choose from. As for the facilities I was blown away by the overall design of the hotel having a very classy/luxury yet artistic appeal to it. I used the 24/7 gym every morning and it was always stocked with towels and cups for the water dispenser. For the room, it was large enough for my wife and I are our luggage and we loved how spacious the bathroom was. I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I hope you experience what I’ve experienced.

Long story short, I just couldn't bring myself to sleep in a 1 star dorm at Bugis so I checked out, bringing my two friends out with me. (I didn't want to share a room with three other men as they were it of rooms, nor did I want to share a toilet with strangers). Booked a last minute room on agoda. The three of us checked in at 12am. The receptionist was friendly and hospitable. Didn't look down upon the three sweaty girls who had made their way from Bugis to Carlton City with their backpacks behind them. She spoke to us politely, not condescending unlike some other 4&5 star hotels I've been to. She didn't even charge us extra for the third person, though prepared to pay another bomb. The room is spacious and clean. The best part was the immense water pressure that came down upon us when we took our shower after a long day. The only problem we had the next morning was to find that the water heater wasn't working. We didn't have a chance to tell the manager as we had to check out early anyway. It's a walking distance away from hipster cafes to which we managed to cafe-hop. All in all, my experience there, albeit short, was unforgettable.

Being surrounded by 5-stars that cost around 3 times as much to stay in, I don't really see why anyone would choose to pay so much more for one of the other hotels. Great views (kudos for the "bench" by the window!), most helpful reception and concierge staff, very nice swimming pool (though there was a slight issue with regards to following the rules there on the guests' side and the lack of control by the staff, which did however seem to have improved on our last day there, my initial feeling was that they did not want to disturb their own guests and disrupt their "fun", which would be understandable). The "double" room can sleep up to 3 people with both a queen and a single bed, located very close to the MRT station and next to multiple market areas with choices from the absolute cheapest street food to the most expensive gourmet restaurants. 2 complimentary little bottles of water provided each day, great shower and bathroom, I even used the ironing equipment available in the room.

Scarlet hotel projected a vintage but fashioned style for my first impression, the feeling was strong for their reception area. It was surprising that they provided customer with a welcomed drink. Although they could not provide executive room with windows to me in time, friendly staff - Leslie suggested and upgraded my room to Premium. The room was tiny and even more luxury. Thanks for their arrangement :). Closed to Maxwell food centre and The coconut club was another metric for lunch/dinner. It was only 5 minutes to Chinatown MRT so it's good to stay it for last few days so tourist can purchase souvenir from Chinatown. I highly recommended Scarlet hotel to people especially they had professional attribute and proactive help towards tourist.

I love the hotel even though I encountered a drama unfolded during check-in. Apparently a couple insisted on cancelling their stay together with their couple friends because they could not stand the smell of the hotel/room. In any case their "theme fragrance" is Urban Forest in the case of their shampoo etc which has a strong fragrance. The room is nicely decorated with chic displays. Decent gym. Love their wagyu beef room service. However, it would be good if they can work on the followings: - the room floor is too slippery/not compatible with the slippers. I nearly tripped a few times. - the toilet seat is very cold even though Singapore is not a cold country. Have to brace myself for the coldness of the seat every time. - the IPAD does not work every time; whether to adjust the air-con or order room service. The best is to do it manually. It will be really good if this automated service is more robust else it is albeit a waste of money and resource. - should provide complimentary parking instead of $40 per stay Lastly, to those who mentioned that the shower temperature is not working: if you want hot water, turn the knob towards the blue/cold indication! Somehow it seems that the indications are labelled wrongly.

It might be my best hotel stay experience. To my surprise, I can do a very early check in (at around 10.30 am) at a 5 star hotel like The Westin. The front officer, Ann Varghese, was also very nice to give me a higher floor room (was at 33 then moved at 38) that was equipped with a bath up overlooking the hotel's pool. The location is also very strategic and walking distance from the Downtown MRT Station (choose exit E for shorter distance). One complain for me and my friend is about the steam and jacuzzi quality that was not hot enough. However, I would definitely come back to stay at The Westing Singapore in the future time!

I’ve stayed at several boutique hotels in Singapore but nothing compared to Ann Siang House. The best part is the unit is so big! I booked Deluxe room and it was almost twice a size of any usual deluxe room in Singapore (even bigger than much more expensive Park Royal’s room). I love all small details in Ann Sianh House, from the tastefully designed furniture to ambient music in hallway that enhanced the pleasant experience staying in Ann Siang House. Staff’s hospitality is commendable, always smile and ready to help. Breakfast is quite decent, not the best if you compare to 5 star hotel but already much better to similar boutique hotels that don’t offer breakfast. The way I see, this breakfast is an additional value so I appreciate the extra mile to provide breakfast! I was lucky I got to check the newly opened Pandora’s Garden that is located within the premise and sell amazing rose wine. Sound insulation can be improved, so a watch out for light sleeper. I highly recommend Ann Siang House to everyone especially if you are looking for spacious unit in SG (which considered a luxury) with a reasonable price and excellent location! I’d definitely return!! 💙

The hotel itself was really good, staff pleasant and helpful. One thing just highly disappointed that we booked a big family room in December for arriving in August thorough AGODA. A month before trip I wrote to the hotel to check if all is fine with the booking, to my surprise the hotel did not see our booking, but later on the booking was confirmed. Anyway, just before our trip we got a call from AGODA informing us that our Two Bedroom Apartment is overbooked due to system glitch and we were offered two separate rooms. At least during my holiday I wanted to stay with my family, not in two separate rooms. I do not know whose disorganization it was but that disappointed very much. Therefore in the future I would probably avoid bookings though AGODA.

I booked a deluxe room at the new Oasia Hotel for a small break from our routine here in Singapore. I've watched the building go up and I was curious as to what the inside looked like, and was also intrigued by the hotel's "club". Overall it was a 4 star experience - here's what I liked and what could be improved. The good: The staff were perfect and were kind enough to send us chocolates. That's always good. The room was on the smaller side, but everything clicks into place and was finished with a good attention to detail. The bed was comfy and clean. I liked the light switches on both sides of the bed. The shower was powerful and the towels were so nice and fluffy. The gym looked great. The eggs and juice at breakfast were nice. The average: We booked the room for half price, as they were having an opening deal. Even at half of the normal price, I felt like we did not quite receive the level of luxury expected from a luxury hotel. It felt like a nice business hotel. The pool felt pretty small (which can't be changed) and cold (which might be a good thing here in SG). The keycards won't work in the elevators or doors unless you press them all the way against the reader. Breakfast was $20 each, and wasn't particularly good. Either the milk or the coffee tasted funky - I'd hope for some tastier stuff at a place like this. I'd save your money for some of the good cafes nearby. Overall, I would recommend this for business travelers. Perhaps regular life in Singapore has pampered me so much that my expectations for luxury are too high.

Highly recommend! Front desk service was VERY good, they were polite and instructed the surrounding and service clearly. While i check-in, a free and decent drink was served to welcome my stay. Room was clean, stylish and fully-equipped. Although they don't have their own gym for guest to use, you can still use the gym in 4-star hotel - oasis downtown(1 km away from Amoy), an associated hotel of Amoy hotel. Breakfast served in Dean and Deluca where is just 1 min by walk outside Amoy. You can enjoy a proper breakfast there! Overall, this is a hotel that I will come stay again!
