"the best hotel i ever stayed. location is excellent. right in the city center opposite the ainu kotan. in the midst of all the souvenir streets. the lake akan is right in front of the hotel. the room faces the lake akan. nice view. the room is very big with powder room separated from the toilet. the food is also excellent. we had buffet dinner and breakfast. the spread at dinner time is amazing. raw fish are plentiful. the service excellent. the staffs replenishes the food without leaving the tray empty. i had self made chirashi with lots of ikura. besides the japanese spread, there is chinese, korean and italian spreads too. fruit juices and different types of tea are available on self service. there is so much food that i wish i had 2 stomach to fill in.... oiishi... another plus point is the onsen.. many different features inside the onsen areas especially the basement one....i love it. it has jacuzzi jets in many areas. the view to see lake akan is amazingly clear too. the 8th floor view is not so nice and smaller but still acceptable. don't miss going to the basement one, must go. my regret to only stay for one night.... i will definitely stay in this hotel again if i am back in lake akan. kudos lake akan...."

"This hotel is located right by Lake Akan. It is close to sightseeing boat tour, eco museum and a forest walking trail. Hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are helpful. "

"Pros : - 1) Location is good. Just next to Lake Akan. Good view from room and lobby, face the Lake Akan. 2) Lake Akan sightseeing cruise just next to the hotel. Received 10% discount voucher from the hotel when buy the tickets. 3) Check-in was fast. Staffs were nice, friendly and helpful. 4) Got free coffee and ice-cream at the lobby. 5) Dinner was good. Waiters and waitress were nice and friendly. I brought along my 5 years old daughter. She stayed free for the hotel but they still prepared a set of dinner for her. 6) When we check-out, they prepared bread for us for snack. 7) Hot spring is big. Got 3 different temperature of pools. Very comfortable. 8) Hotel prepared a small gift for my daughter as welcome gift. Cons : - 1) Give me a different room booked. 2) Room a bit small. 3) Breakfast very simple and less choices. Overall still above my expectation. No doubt staffs's attitude and politeness hit the high score. "

"Tsuruga Wings is a modern hotel conveniently located in Lake Akan town with beautiful facilities. It is connected to its more luxurious sister hotel and guests are able to enjoy the hotsprings in both hotels. The souvenir shop at the sister hotel proved a popular spot with local tourists, with the food souvenirs being wrapped up by the cartons. Although it was busy and seemed fully occupied with many guests, the hotel still felt relaxed and stately when browsing around at the ground floor. The dinner buffet was surprising with a mix of international dishes and quite appetizing in general. I was able to enjoy the beautiful and spacious onsen in quiet and peace by myself in the morning. Perhaps most guests chose to visit the other onsen at the sister hotel. The room complemented the whole tranquil feel of the hotel. One plus point of the hotel was that it has valet parking. The stay was well worth the splurge. I will consider staying again at this hotel group."
