Very seldom do I write reviews for hotel stays but I feel that I will be doing Mode Sathorn a great injustice if I don't write this one for her. For the price we pay, it's definitely one of the best stays for all my years of travelling. The check-in late at night was fuss free and we got a room with 2 queen size beds. We requested for a king bed room and got put into a waiting list because the hotel was fully booked that day. The wait was pretty long but in the end we got what we wanted the next night. Welcome drink coupons were issued upon check-in and you are free to visit the bar or restaurant to redeem the drinks. And not those fruit punch crap but real drinks. You can order your free beers, cocktails, soft drinks, etc. We went to their Theater Bar late one night to chill and enjoy our free drinks. Theater Bar is great. Lovely and modern decor accompanied with trendy music. Definitely makes you feel like clubbing when you step in. Never expected the breakfast to be good. There are plenty of variety on offer. You won't get bored. The free Wifi provided is awesome. I always have problems with crappy Wifi connection during my overseas travel but Mode Sathorn's Wifi is fast and reliable! The king-size bed, pillows, quilt are all super comfortable, comparable to those on offer at 5 stars hotel. Once you sink in, you not want to get up. Air-conditioning works great. At some points we had to off them cause it got so cold. lol. But we are not complaining. Tip: Location is great. This hotel is just next to Surasak BTS so use this as your launch pad for your moving about in Bangkok cause the traffic can be horrendous.

We had an amazing 3 night stay at this hotel. It was our last 3 days in Thailand, after staying in moderatley budget accommodation. we spend the extra money, and booked a 2 room suite at Anantara Sathorn, hoping that it would be nice; We were certainly NOT disappointed! the staff were all so lovely and helpful. Upon checkin, we were asked if we would like a cot in our room for our youngest child. Not long after arriving to our room, our bags and the cot were there too. The suite was amazing. the master bedroom was massive, with ensuite bathroom (and the huge bed was so comfortable!). the 2nd bedroom was reasonably sized, with 2 single beds, and enough room to move around. we had a big open kitchen/dining room and a lounge room that opened out onto a balcony, with a great view of the city. The buffet breakfast was incredible, and varied. The elevators were super quick, and the pool was nice and big (and a nice temperature too. I read some reviews that were from around New Years Eve, that weren't so good, and I dare say it was super booked and busy then, but we did not have any negative experience. The staff were very helpful with any request we had, and even booked us a taxi to get to the airport (even though they had their own more expensive transfer service). One of the best hotels we have stayed in (though we have not stayed in many 5 star hotels). Would definitely recommend.

I've stayed at the Eastin Grand Sathorn twice now. I chose it because of its proximity to the Myanmar Embassy and the BTS, but besides that it represents one of the best values in high-end hotels in the entire city, with great staff, amazing amenities, an excellent gym, the best access to the BTS you could hope for, great breakfast, and even some wonderful street food options right out the front door. I couldn't recommend the place more and unless I have to stay in another part of the city for business reasons, this is the hotel I will always stay at when visiting Bangkok.

On my many trips to Bangkok, we stayed in various hotels and areas. The Siri Sathorn was by far the best of both worlds. The location was lovely, clean and hip with 5 star hotels (Sukhothai and Bayan Tree close by), the amazing Lumphini Park and high class condos and residences. But the feel was a quietly quaint neighborhood not a commercial strip. There were a number of really good restaurants within 5 minute walk - both Thai and foreign. It was a short walk to both the MRT and the BTS trains, which takes you almost anywhere in Bangkok. The Sala Daeng stop on the BTS has a fabulous mall, which I used to view on my walks to Bangkok Christian Hospital for my annual check-up but never ventured into it until this trip. The basement has wonderful supermarket surrounded by many quality restaurants and the upper floors has anything that you would need. The two bedroom apartment at the Siri Sathorn was a joy to the entire family; my daughters had their own room and bathroom with large tub and they never wanted to leave it. There was a full open kitchen and counter separating the living room and 3 televisions in the place. Now you could have all that and still have bad service but without exaggeration - the service from the Concierge, front desk, restaurant personnel and housekeeping was the best we ever had in any hotel.

Booked hotel as within 1Km walk to Canadian Embassy to renew wifes passport. On arrival, our room was changed to one on a smoking floor as we both smoke. Agoda do not have this option on the list, only to request "NO Smoking". Hotel is much quieter than our usual choices on Sukumvit. 2 mins walk to 7/11 and Teso 24hr for most of your needs. Beakfast was comprehensive with European and Thai, only critique would be the sausages which were "Bangkok franks". My wife who is not Thai, loved the luxury of eating Thai for breakfast. On the 3 days we were there, ate evening meal inhouse. 1st night had the steak which was melt in the mouth, unusual for Thailand. We then tried the lamb chops the next night, they arrived cold and the complete meal was immediately re-cooked, and arrived very quickly. Mouth watering and a meat we do not often find here. Decided on the same meal the next night, no contest! Would and have recomended this hotel to others and my fellow expats.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife as we needed to go to the Australian embassy which is just down the road. All the staff here are very helpful and always smiling (from reception to restaurant and housekeeping). The rooms are new and well maintained with very comfortable beds. We were on the 56th floor and the view from the lounge room and bedroom was amazing looking back over the city. The bathrooms have a seperate bath and shower and bathrobes and slippers are in the cupboard. One nice touch they do us provide a different type of native fruit each day and also change the scent of incense provided. The dining options here are great. We ate at the Chinese style restaurant for a dim sum lunch one day and ur was the best dim sum I've had anywhere! Vertigo rooftop restaurant is by far a must see! The view from here is spectacular. You get 360 degree views across the city. It can be a bit windy so don't forget a scarf or something warmer for the missus. We ordered the degustation menu with wines and it was fantastic! The staff at the restaurant were great (friendly, don't mind a laugh and are happy to take a picture for you). They will also take a complimentary photo and print out for you using their camera. One of the highlights of my stay in Bangkok. There is bar a few levels down where we stayed for cocktails. This place can be a real wind tunnel - be warned! Nice views though and nice selection of cocktails. The restaurants are a bit pricey but if you're looking for a memorable moment or experience definately check them out. The hotel is a short taxi trip to major shopping centres. I would definately recomend the hotel to anyone!!

A stunning designer hotel comprising an older building, the former Russian embassy, which houses a bar and courtyard cafe, plus the main modern block with restaurants and rooms. Excellent service from the friendly and well trained staff. I enjoyed the room too - large with an innovative finish. Good gym and range of international food. A very small pool, however enough to sit by. Definitely feels like part of a chain, which may not be to everyone's taste. However, a well managed and professional operation is the upside. Expensive rooms compared with many.

my second stay at the sukhothai hotel has confirmed that my opinion as it being one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at after a life of extensive traveling. the executive deluxe room is the size of three standard rooms, beautifully appointed with an astounding attention to detail. from an excellent coffee machine to the box of every phone and computer connection imaginable to the bathroom which is like a small apartment in and of itself. fresh tropical fruit and chocolate truffles served everyday. the staff went consistently beyond the line of duty to make our visit as pleasant as possible. i was greeted by name from day one by all of the staff. one evening we were having trouble locating a restaurant. the concierge spent over twenty minutes doing everything possible to find this out of the way place. he finished by finding the cell phone of the owner but before that he had thoroughly searched the internet, and even called another hotel in the restaurant's neighborhood to find out if they knew the exact address. the hotel limousine to and from the airport is well worth the money. uniformed chauffeur, cold towels, water, candy and wifi in the car (fabulous mercedes) the breakfast buffet is amazing and delicious. everything that anyone could possible desire for breakfast is there an more. the celadon restaurant in widely considered one of the best thai restaurants in bangkok and deservedly so. if you want to taste the classic thai dishes done to perfection this is the place. i cannot say enough good about this hotel. my favorite in the world.

i am a frequent traveler, but first time in bangkok, so great i had to write a review, i mainly booked the hotel because when i called to inquire (after calling many hotels) i was assisted by Mr. Tim, and he was extremely helpful, professional and very joyful, the rooms are great and (rain shower is a wonder!), location is great, for me i wanted something aways from loud areas, but then again it is only a 10 minutes drive to et to important areas...great food and prompt room service, and oh the house keeping and how dedicated the work is in cleaning the rooms, the bed is as described and better, the pillows and its types are superb for amazing sleeping quality, pool parties that make your day, roof top is unbelievably romantic and magical, the TV has everything you need from channels to internet to tips to shopping form the hotel or outside...espresso machine makes your morning delightful, i can go on and on about the little but important things there, but im trying to keep it simple...check in was only five minutes! check out was only 3 minutes! even if there other people, its the hotel that knows how to ease the work flow. the best part is that i felt i was taken care of, really. I ran into the staff there and boy O boy AMAZING people, Ms.Layla, Mr. X, Ms. Vivena and Mr. K and Ms. Niki and ALL the others, Ms. Layla, Mr. Tim and Ms. Vivena spent a lot of time helping me to get around and giving me great tips and information and made my stay joyful and superb, i expected my trip to be great, but it was more than super amazing, i noticed that smiles are every where, even the guests are happy! it shows to say that the hotel has a good atmosphere and people are happy there, i really thank and love Sofitel So for the wonderful time and will surely, always go there, you only need to try it, once you see SO, you will always GO... thank you from the bottom of my heart, Pom chob krung thep kap!

i stayed here for 2 nights. i am okay with the hotel location, though it's quite far from the city centre but, it was my choice to stay here. the bts saphan thaksin station is approximately 5 minutes walk from the hotel. from here, you can take the bts to siam square (approximately 10 minutes), or change to another bts line to either mo chit station (chatuchak market) which takes approximately another 15-20 minutes from siam station, or to sukhumvit area e.g. nana (which takes approximately another 10-15 minutes). you can also take the mrt line from the siam station. airport link also connect to the bts line from phyatai station. the hotel service is at its best, like most thailand hotel. they cater to your needs when you request from them. there is a swimming pool and separate sauna rooms for men & ladies, which is at the 2nd floor. breakfast is provided at the cafe but i did not take the breakfast due to the absence of halal meals. a walk from the hotel to the east side, you will find all the banks, thai cooking school, and even malaysian embassy. a walk to the west, will meet you with a huge temple, university and local retail shops. a walk to the north, will take you to bangkrak night market, robinson mall, shangri-la hotel, jetty to the chao phraya river cruise, massage parlors and local retail shops. in overall, the location is okay. you can sleep well at night with out hearing any music from bars, or people shouting downstairs, or even cars honking. however, one minus point is that the wall is so thin that you can actually hear your upstairs neighbour flushing the toilet. but, it is not so rampant i suppose coz most of the time, we were outside. for muslim, there are 2 small muslim vendors selling noodles next to the pharmacy, you will see them on your way to robinson mall.

The seven days we spent at the Ascott Sathorn were really enjoyable as the apartment had everything you could wish for including an onsite convenience store which made up for its somewhat isolated location. Aldo'sestaurant is fabulous for lunches served poolside and it was quite fascinating to see business lunches being served in the poolside cabanas to ppl in suits whilst hotel guests sunbathed around pool. It says something for the food and the business lunch menu was great, tasty and inexpensive. Lots of sun around the pool, though not quite enough beds for everyone using the facilities. Great bathroom products! Location is good as its only a few stops to get anywhere and its only downfall is that it is a little remote being located in amongst all the embassies and was a litte strange getting off the train late at night and being the only ppl getting off at the station. The walk back to the hotel was likewise lonely with absolutely no foot traffic around after about 6pm. All in all, great serviced apartments, particularly for the price obtained through Agoda and would definitely return.

If u look for a choice of accommodation with cleanliness , safety, staff service and most valued for money in Sathorn /Narathiwas Rajanakarindhara Road. This is one of best choice for you to book. One day to one month will be such perfect choice. Huge room, cleanliness quality, staff , security, housekeeping , etc. Not the best hotel but always the best choice for smart traveller !!! Highly recommend !!!

Requested for big bed and high floor in my booking. Hotel side mentioned they did not receive any memo from agoda regarding my request. To all fellow travelers, please snap a screen shot of all itineraries and reservation requests. Save you the trouble of explaining and putting yourselves in bad light... Avoid staying in the room during office hour, some construction works going on in their car parking premises (basement) . My room was on the 2nd floor...doesn't really bother me during my 5 days stay as I'm out when the drilling starts ;P For Breakfast, just take the fruit, yoghurt and salad. Can skip the rest... Although a 3 star hotel, but their ROOM CLEANINESS IS A GOOD 5 STAR! Keep it up and maintain it well!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at At Ease Saladaeng. The name is quite appropriate. We booked a deluxe room and it suited our needs perfectly. It is an easy 10 min walk to both the Skytain and Metro systems, the markets at Silom Rd and for our purposes the Australian Embassy. Lumphini Park is also very close and it is a great place for an early morning or evening walk/jog around its 2.5km circuit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with our printing and photocopying needs. There was a good selection of food at the buffet breakfast which we included in our package. There is a food eatery next door and a great restaurant on the corner with Rama IV. I will definitely come back again.

Stayed 4 nights with two teenagers, so we booked a twin room for them and a superior room for ourselves. Rooms were identical except for the beds, so it is not worth paying for a superior; a standard room is fine. The rooms were spacious and clean, good beds, TVs with a couple of English channels. THB 1000 key deposit (cash only) upon check-in. Cute little pool on the roof with a few loungers, but no shade. The best part was the breakfast— fresh and a good variety of Thai dishes daily. The entire hotel is non-smoking. Coin-operated washing machines outside the entrance if needed. Rooms cleaned daily. There was a hair dryer, safe, kettle & instant tea/coffee in the room. The hotel is down a small street with several good, reasonable restaurants. It is quiet, but there is a small shopping mall at the end of the street (Centre Point) and Saphan Taksin BTS station just around the corner. Good value! Tip: best foreign Xchange kiosk @ Jewelry Trade Cntr, 2nd fl (5-min. walk)

You want a hotel? Stay by the river. You want a relaxing resort in the middle of maddening city with crazy traffic, then this is THE place.....almost new, excellent staff with lovely smiles, always ready to help you enjoy your stay, tropical surroundings with a courtyard infinity swimming pool, fantastic and delicious buffet breakfast......in the immigration district, surrounded by embassies, (must be a safe place although at first it does not look like it), but after a day or so, you don't even want to leave this place.....will be back for sure. Make sure you carry the address map with you since most taxis don't know where this is.....we paid 500 bat. To either airports, so don't ask for a meter, just tell driver 500....for traffic time, add few hundred more and at least an extra hr. To the river boat station, around 60-120 ba. Depends on the traffic....try to avoid downtown traffic between 5-7 pm.... Enjoy your stay at this resort.....it is worth 5 star!

Set back from the choking traffic of Sathorn Rd, this hotel is a salubrious oasis of calm and elegance. Next door, the (overrated) Banyan Tree hotel offers a fantastically overpriced roof-top bar which nonetheless should be experienced at least once, and the embassy district nearby contains a wealth of excellent dining and spa options. The Nahm restaurant is every bit as good as the reviews say. However, if you are looking to book a cheaper option and are not part of a group, make sure it is not an adjoining room - this is the second time I have been caught out by one of these and had to request a move. Although the doors are locked, they are thin and offer no soundproofing whatsoever.

Good location. We stayed here for Visa Application purpose at Germany Embassy in next day morning (7AM), the hotel is just opposite to the Embassy, however with walking I need to walk around 600-700 to cross the street at the intersection (not bad). I booked the studio room however got the upgraded room to be one bedroom Executive due to its unavailability so it was great and much appreciate! Internet was smooth and fast which fairly faced in many other hotels. Perfect stay for me.

The hotel is at the city center of Bangkok, with tranquil neighborhood, surrounding by embassies. The hotel room is big, and with a spacious living room and a simple kitchen. The furniture is simple but comfortable. Like other hotels in Thailand, the service is great and thoughtful. The hotel facility in general is good, with gym though the machines are a bit old. The swimming pool is small but clean. If sun-tanning is your key priority, this may not be a good option as there is only one third of the pool exposed to sunshine. In overall, I’d recommend this hotel for its great value of money.

1.The staffs were always available, efficient and willing to help all the times. But it was weird that the phone number provided by the hotel wasn’t pick up at all when our taxi driver wanted to confirm its location, when we are landed at the airport and heading to it at 1am in the morning. We check-in around 2am in the morning but within 10minutes, we got our room keys. 2.The hotel looks new(the room, reception corner, restaurant), except the corridor to the hotel room. Free wifi is provided but I couldn’t access to it although I was just staying at the 2nd floor. While wifi at the lobby is ok and smooth. 3.Location: it is just right beside the Embassy of Malaysia, located in the business district area. It is near to the Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain (15min walk), Lumpini Mrt Subway(10min walk).

The Narathiwas Residence is essentially a serviced apartment with a large buffet breakfast provided. The apartment has a large lounge area, a balcony, large bed, kitchen etc. it has the facilities of a 5 star hotel, with the added bonus of the size of an apartment. The front desk staff are attentive, professional, and speak English. The location is an advantage as it is very close to the busiess district of Sathorn/Silom, and the many nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. The accommodation compared to the cost of a 5 star hotel represents very good value for money.

I booked a 2 bedroom suite plus an extra bed for my four friends and I. We chose the hotel because it satisfied our requirements: reasonable price, nice rooms, free breakfast, good location for nightlife and sightseeing, and convenient transport to and fro the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel at about past midnight, we were welcomed by a very friendly bellboy. Checking in was a breeze. There was also free wifi at the hotel lobby. We were very much surprised when we saw the actual size of the hotel room. The living room and bedrooms were bigger than what we expected from the photos. Also noteworthy was that the room had a total of 3 bathrooms - 1 for each bedroom and 1 in the living room. The room had dated but well-maintained furniture, but was decorated with a lot of artwork, which added a classy touch. We also had a scenic view of the city from the living room balcony since we were situated at the 14th floor. If you need internet connection, there is a LAN connector in the living room. We would've preferred wifi internet connection though, since most of us brought handheld devices and not laptops. Getting around the city from the hotel was also easy and convenient through the free shuttle service and nearby train stations. Its distance from the cultural, shopping and nightlife locations is fairly near and tolerable, considering that the hotel is located in a very secure neighborhood. You will find European embassies surrounding the hotel. The free shuttle service is available from 10 am to 10:30 pm, if I'm not mistaken. If you need transportation past this time though, the hotel staff can page you a taxi in no time. The breakfast buffet on the other hand was alright, but could use more selection. They served almost the same things each day with little additions/subtractions. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience in this hotel. We definitely wouldn't mind going back given the value for money service and accommodations that we received.

location could not have been better. had to go to the usa embassy (reason for trip) and taxi, for 100 baht, got me there in about 15 minutes. the staff was helpful and very polite and spoke english well. but the hotel is getting old and my room had a very bad spell (smelled like old cigarettes). shower was good, strong spray with very hot water, and bathroom was clean. good number of tv channels, including two movie channels was nice. bed was not all that comfortable though. the food in the cafe was good (ate two breakfasts there) and prices were reasonalble.
