We are so happy that we chose to spend 5 night a brand new Yotel. *The staff- Very polite caring and helpful. (the best staff we ever had in a hotel) They helped us with planning, adjusted for us the menu to our vegan twists, even cheak and printed for us information about an event in the city! *The location - Perfect location very close to ION mall and MRT station. we mostly used buses. it is nicer to see the city this way (bus stop is even closer and located in front of Thailand embassy) we also liked the hotel located on the beginning of Orchard street. it is very easy to take a bus to see all the street. Since it's a one way street you can get out each time in the stop you like. * The room - small as most rooms in Singapore hotels but designed very smart and functional! we felt like in a space-ship with cool view on the city skyline. * facilities - 10th floor is Amazing! the gym is very good and new! The restaurant is amazing with very good prices. We got a 50% discount for breakfast for choosing to eat only fruits and veges in the morning :) kitchen is open till 22:30 and we used to get nice evening vegan fruit and veges salad that was adjusted for us! me & my girlfriends were having a gilr's trip to singapore for 3 nights, so we took the premier room for 4 adults. this is my first time staying at york hotel. the location is great, next to goodwood hotel & far east plaza. if you walk a bit through the mt. elizabeth road, then you end up between paragon & lucky plaza. the lobby was just okay, but the room is huge, newly renovated, the bed is very comfortable (i'm very sensitive when it comes to bed, the linens, pillow etc) and the bathroom is spacious. the conciege was very helpfull & very friendly, but the laundry service & housekeeping will knock on your door at 7am so better put on the privacy sign... thiis is the best hotel for price, location & comfort in orchard area & definitely will be back again soon!!!

Smooth checked in. Staff are friendly. I have no complain with the cleanliness. Plaza singapura is just like less than 10minutes walk. 7 eleven also not far. I think the place is just right for me who loves to walk and burn a bit calories. I recommend this place for whom looking for an affordable price and yet close to shopping area at orchard. 313 is pretty good though. The room size is just right and the good thing is that the bed is comfortable.

We got 3 non-smoking rooms for a 6D-5N family holiday not knowing what was in store since this was a new hotel. It was hard looking for a hotel that was perfect for a family with kids and an infant and one which should be accessible, affordable and clean. Judging from most of the cheap hotels online it was a gamble to take this hotel since it didn't have much of feedback and most of the 3 star hotels around the area were given really horrible feedback. When we got to the hotel the lobby was clean and spacious and most importantly the staff were all smiles and friendly. But wait til we see the room since we specifically asked for non-smoking rooms. Guess what, it was bigger than expected and the tub was clean. Whew! The carpet and linen were clean, the bathrooms were spic and span and we even got hot water. Everything was in working condition and we even had a fridge and a safety deposit box. I'd say this is the best 3 star hotel I've seen so far and I'd go back there anytime.

i choose this hotel mainly because its location – nearby orchid road and close to mrt station. just 5 minutes by walk you can arrive at ion and ngee ann city. for the ones who like to go shopping, i doubt there’s better option with lower price. just across the street you can find a food court in far east plaza, where you can find various choice of food which provides you an economical choice if you do not want to spend too much in a fancy restaurant every night. moreover, i find its service is one of best among all the hotels i had even been in 20 countries. i am not just talking about free mini bar – although it helps as well – the most impressive thing is how touching the staff could be, especially the ones rom concierge. i definitely would choose royal plaza on scotts again if the budget allows; after all, their service is something you can hardly find in any other hotel in the world. i sincerely hope that agoda can try to make its own service close to the level of royal plaza on scotts, and maybe agoda should send someone over there to benchmark it. in terms of hardware, it is not the best hotel in town; for example, i would prefer the hotels with better swimming pool and gym. nonetheless, i truthfully thank all the hotel staff for giving me a unique experience in staying here.

The location is good as it is near to Far East Plaza and Orchard Road. However, there are few things I am very unhappy with this hotel, given it is a 5 star hotel. First, there was no bell boy to carry my bags when I checked in. Being a single girl travelling, did they expect me to carry somewhat 30 kgs by myself. SEcond, It was very hard to request for early check in unlike other 5-stars hotel in Singapore that I used to stay before. Third, it was extremely difficult to catch a taxi from this hotel. I had to wait for almost an hour. I then requested the staff to call and book a taxi for me as I needed to go somewhere urgently. However, the hotel staff told me that they could not get through the taxi service. My suggestion: call another taxi company if one couldnt get through. Singapore has many taxi companies.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

The service was great, the staff is more than keen yo help you. The hotel as well is beautiful. We stayed at the executive studio and even that we found it exclusively luxurious. The location is the best part. The hotel has linked bridge yo the paragon mall, than just a few metres from the mall you can access the orchard mrt station. The hotel provide you with a handphone which is so handy and you can bring it anywhere, just making sure to return back before checking out.

Location is good because vehicles generally do not really need to pay ERP fees when travelling to and from the hotel. If you really need to take a cab to travel nearby within the ERP area, just walk a short distance towards Tang's or Lucky Plaza and flag a cab there to avoid that surcharges on your cab fees. Underpass to Orchard MRT, ION and WISMA is nearby after Tang's. Local street food is available at Far East Plaza just beside it (upper levels). Cinema is opposite at Lido Shaw's Theatres. Every staff was trained to greet visitors and offer assistance even when I was just sharing a lift or randomly passing by.

I feel that having the convenience food at the lobby was really convenient especially that it's ready-made because we can easily get food in the middle of the night. Technically it is relatively near to Far East Plaza, it's just a short walking distance to a bus stop where you can catch any bus from opposite the bridge to Far East Plaza. It's just 2 stops down! The room is huge, considering that I booked a deluxe room with 2 queen beds! It's a nice hotel, and the environment is really quiet and conducive. The cons to note is that, if you're not yet 21, you can book the hotel on agoda but you need a 21 year old adult to authorize it with you at the hotel. Because they need a 21 year old to be held liable for whatever damages the room might suffer? So yup! That's about it.

I checked in on my birthday and the staff remembered it and it meant a lot. Prior to my stay, I was having problem with completing the payment online but Novotel happily kept the room and we had to pay at the hotel. The standard of the room and amenities have been kept well. Breakfast buffet is one of the best I had so far with wide choices. The hotel is accessible to bus rides and also offers shuttle service to orchard road. We will definetly comeback!

We spent 4 nights from 19 Dec to 23 Dec 2017 at Shangrila Apartments, with 3 adults, and 4 years & 7 years kids. We booked apartment with 1 bedroom & extra bed. Location wise is very quiet and is within 13 minutes walking to Lucky Plaza. Small private buses are available to drive you to Orchards shopping centre area, with scheduled timetable, though. The staffs are professional, very responsive & have very good attitudes. Room is clean and have all standard apartment utilities, although the microwave is quite old (using old technology that is not as easy to use compared to the modern one). Booking with Agoda is very easy and the coordination with Shangrila Aprtments is two thumbs up. Overall, it is good value for the money with expected Shangrila standards. Ofcourse, We will come again.

great location, you can use mrt and stop at somerset or dhoby ghaut (both are the same and near to the hotel). only 10mins walk to the orchard road (ion, tangs, mandarin gallery, cineleisure and far east plaza. from hotel to bugis also near just use mrt and stop at bugis just pay 2$. quite nice room, clean enough, there is hair dryer that i needed most and 2 towel, shower cap, brush n tooth paste, shower gel, 2 bottles of water). service good, there is a house keeping every morning, receptionist 24hour, just grab a taxi in front of hotel, from hotel to clarke quay only 5mins by taxi without traffic. so i guess this is nice hotel for stay and i'll come back again soon :) thank you!

Singapore Hotels are quite expensive even their Hostels so booking with Holiday Inn Express is still considered a bit expensive as compared to rates in other countries we visited. But for Singapore, the rate is alright since all bookings include breakfast (though not extensive in choices but enough to start your day) and wifi (fast and quite reliable for browsing and posting in facebook). Hotel is located in between the Somerset and Orchard MRT - parallel to Orchard Road. You just have to look for Paragon Mall and go into that street then turn to Bideford St. and you'll immediately see the hotel. It is in front of a Mosque but the sound from the Mosque does not bother you especially when you are inside the room already. Personally we preferred to use the Orchard MRT since you'll just pass through Tang's and Lucky Plaza to get to the station. We did not experience any problems in checking in and out. Quite fast and hassle free. They offer free toiletries (sanitary napkin, shaver, etc), you just have to ask from the front desk. What we love about the room is their bathroom. They used a door that can close the main toilet and also the shower. Quite hard to explain and take a picture of but something that I appreciated since it's quirky and unique. We recommend this hotel and we'll definitely go back since we love IHG and we had a very nice and hassle free experience in this branch.

What I wanna say here is that the staff are really caring and proactive. Kudos to the team (From Concierge staff to Restaurant staff to the taxi arrangement staff) !! Proactive & Caring - the staff overheard something from the guest's conversation and act on it before the guest approached them. They inform you how long is the next Taxi will be here to pick you up, and etc. Selections of restaurant in the area. Free shuttle Bus service. 25mins nice walk to Far East Plaza in Orchard road.

We had a good stay at Hotel fort canning. The hotel self is surrounded by a park, which makes you feel a little bit outside of everything which is good, however it is very centrally located and very close to the MRT station Dhoby Gaut, and the nice shopping mall Plaza Singapura where you can Eat a lot of nice food, although not fancy but more western fast food that they dont have in other southeast Asian countries. The staff was very proffessional and kinda stiff, but stll very friendly, they are doing their job. Although when we checked out we had to remind them that we had to get out deposit money back. Kind of an awkward situation, since the receptionist cleraly wanted to be done checking us out so we had to notify him that we would like t have our 100 sgd back. The room service food was not good, pricy, as it is in Singapore we wold think that the qualtiy of room service in a 5 star hotel would be really good, but no. Overall we had a good stay and might come back to stay there.

I have always stayed here when coming to Singapore. Singapore Marriott Hotel is the best and my most favourite hotel to stay when coming to Singapore, highly recommended especially if you are a shoppaholic. It is located exactly at the centre of the great Orchard Road which everyone knows is a shopping heaven for all shoppers. Around the hotel, there are several big shopping malls like the ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, Takashimaya, Shaw Centre, Wheelock Place, Far East Plaza, Tangs Plaza, Lucky Plaza, Paragon, and some other smaller shops scattered around the Orchard Road and all of them are only minutes of walking distance from the hotel. It is always be my first choice of hotel when coming to Singapore.

at first I was hesitant to pick this hotel because on map, it looks way at the back of Orchard but it's actually a relaxed 5 minute walk! if you go back to hotel hungry, there are nearby restaurants. If you plan to go to places by train, the train station is very near and you can move from 1 train line to another. When you don't feel like going out for a day on taxi or train, you can just walk on Orchard road into several malls including Lucky Plaza where you can buy very cheap souvenirs!

I have travelled and explored extensively throughout South East Asia with my family over the last 15 years. We have stayed in many Hotels and some hovels boasting to be Hotels. But, the stay at the Shangri-la has been by far the best I have ever encountered. From the minute we walked through the doors I got the feeling that we were part of the family. So much so I have planned a return stay in April 2008. The room was breathtaking only to be complemented by the view from the windows over looking Singapore.

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

We are locals and decided to take a 3 night getaway, attending a wedding dinner at the hotel on the 2nd night. We drove in on a Friday 30th Sept 2011 and checked out on Monday 3rd Oct - no problem getting complimentary parking coupons from the Concierge. Our request for a non-smoking quiet room on a higher floor was granted without fuss (1018). The room was decorated with warm colours and toiletries were "L'Occitane" products. This package came with an upgrade to the Deluxe room. We were very comfortable relaxing in the room which came with a study table and large screen TV, good supply of tea bags. A big bonus was the free internet service with came with the package. Bed was great for sleeping - nice big pillows. Its a good idea to give Housekeeping a call to make up the room when you go for breakfast. They attended to that efficiently. One thing that stood out for us at the Regent was the friendliness of the staff. A far cry from a 6 Star hotel down the road which is often cold and impersonal. So the smiles and pleasant service at The Regent truly made us very welcome. - The efficiency of the breakfast staff in clearing the plates on our table was very good. Staff Lin Chang stood out in this area - very sharp and quick. The breakfast spread served the best French Toast we have ever tasted (but it rotates with waffles & pancake on diff days - the french toast was served on Sat). Unfortunately our request for the French Toast the next day could not be met. Also the baked bacon (tad salty but tender) and honey ham was very nicely done. They served japanese rice & miso soup - but it was rather strange and didnt make sense for many of the condiments and pickles to be placed at another station near the fruits. Most of us wouldnt know there were other condiments for the rice. The Regent has managed to create a warm and welcoming ambience for us - most refreshing compared to many other hotels here. Most definitely recommend this hotel.

Professional service and friendly staff. The best stay I've been to so far. Staff guided us through and to our room. They had an outdoor pantry for guests that provides us with free flow of drink machine (latte, mocha etc), a water dispenser machine as well as a vending machine for other can drinks (which is far cheaper than outside). The inn provides cookies/biscuits to each room as well. The service staff are all efficient and you don't have to wait long for them to attend to you. The skyroom is just like what you saw on their website. The room itself is very spacious and the bathtub located at the balcony overlooking the sky. The room is equipped with a smart tv (the only thing off is that the tv remote is not functional, able to watch videos and movies by the keyboard and mouse though), a unique bath robe, good toiletries with a bath exfoliating scrub inclusive. The bathroom includes rain shower that alongside would able you to walk to the outdoor balcony. Overall facade, splendid. Swimming pool is more like for one to get a dip, not like any other swimming pool but still clean and nice. Location is not so isolated; a walking distance to shopping malls and the inn is near to a stretch of eateries, convenience store and a grocery store. Extremely satisfied, would totally recommend it to family and friends, a very serene and ideal place to stay even for a staycation. Definitely will make a return stay there soon. Thumbs up!

Very friendly and welcoming staff team, every single person greeted us at all times even when we ran across them in the parking lot. We were shown around the property when we arrived and got to see all facilities. Breakfast was nice, always refilled with fresh fruit, toast etc. Free coffee 24 hours from machine in lobby. Nice gym area, open 24 hours. very nice pool area with plenty of shade and free pool towels. We booked a one room apartment which was very sufficient for one week, but had of course some minor limitations, such as only one comfy chair for 2 people (plus two kitchen chairs). No electrical outlet in the bathroom, so you must blowdry your hair in livingroom with no mirror. very convenient to have our own washing machine in the bathroom. a foldable hanging rack for clothes would have been perfect to have. upon arrival, basic set of groceries is provided, very convenient. plenty of supermarkets nearby, lookout for cold storage or fairprice shops. fresh drinking water provided daily and additionally upon request by reception. no housekeeping on weekends, but we were told we could ask for fresh towels from reception those days too. Residence location is off Orchard Rd on a side street, you can cross through to Scotts Plaza Hotel lobby via carpark. Orchard MRT station must be reached via underpass through 2 malls, which can be a bit tiring at times. would come again, mostly for friendly staff and great pool area.

Traveling in a small group, our experience at the hotel was great! It's only 3 stops from the main Orchard shopping area, eg. Tang Plaza, AON, etc, by bus. With a toddler, we take cabs frequently between the hotel and the Orchard MRT (because bus isn't stroller-friendly at all). The front desk sells EZcards for travelers to go on bus and MRT. There was a swimming pool for teens, children and toddlers. I am very pleased with the free daily breakfast at the cafeteria. It carries a variety of Asian and Western warm breakfast items which is impressive. The hotel has free wifi for each floor which is very helpful to connect with others (local phone calls do charge). The 3-people room is clean and spacious with big wardrobes. My friends and I share the bathroom but we each can have our own wardrobes. The bathroom is pretty standard and we all find it very clean. The downside is that the reception staff isn't knowledgeable in giving directions. For a few times we asked them how to get to a mall in Orchard, or go to Bugis (Little India) by bus, they weren't able to give correct directions which ended up making us going extra miles to find our destination. The laundramat didn't work because the washing machines only accepted new $1 coins which the front desk doesn't carry. The traffic can be very jammed-pack during rush hour and early Sunday mornings in this neighborhood (=meaning hard to catch a bus or a taxi because they are often full). Considering if you are traveling in groups, this isn't a bad choice because it values for its price!

The Fort Canning Lodge is a relatively cheap (for Singapore) three star hotel, which is one of the two budget hotels I may stay at transiting Singapore 7-8 time annually as academic. Have been staying there off and on since the late 1990s. Basically a family hotel rather than a business hotel. Location is just around the corner from Plaza Singapura, and not far from the Clarke and Boat Quays. Just across the street from Fort Canning, best park in Singapore. Laundromat in the basement. Breakfast is okay but not great, so I would normally just book the room alone and go to McDonald's nearby for breakfast. Would recommend it for anyone on a budget. Great value for Singapore purposes.

The room was nice, it was clean and bright. For recently renovated rooms, ask for a higher floor. Our room was on the 10th floor and it was new, and also away from the road noises. The hotel itself is not far from the main shopping centre area. A 5 minutes walk to Ion shopping centre, Scotts Centre, Tangs Plaza and Far East Plaza etc. Also about the same distance to Orchard MRT station. Would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers and would definitely stay here again when we go to Singapore.
