"The staff was very nice, location is really great, short walking distance to bourke st mall and federation square, room is very clean with comfy bed. The only small downside is we have to change lift twice to go to our room with long walk, as property has 2 connecting building, if the other building has ground floor with entry and exit access that will be great. Overall we are happy and satisfied with our stay! "

"This is the best budget hotel you can ever find in Melbourne.. While most hotels do not provide free wifi, this one does.. and its a strong one.. Strong enough that I could even watch my favourite dramas and variety shows and made me feel at home! I love how they have decorated the room nicely and made everything lovely.. After a whole tiring day of tour in the city, you can expect to come back to comfortable bed and snuck in and have good night rest.. Every room has a small window and you can expect cool winds and good ventilation especially now in cold spring season.. And the location is superb too.. Just one minute.. or less, you'll reach to the Parliament Station and you can catch the Free Tram, City Circle or other trams (with Myki card) to any other places.. But just a reminder, please do not attempt to walk all the way from the Southern Cross Station at the Spencer Street (Skybus from Melbourne Airport sends us to this station) to the Hotel at the Little Collins Street, as the hotel is basically on the other end of the street.. so getting there by foot, with all our bags and heavy luggage was deadly difficult.. We did that and we was so tired that we slept in hotel for the rest of the day.. The location, is nearly opposite to the Sheraton Hotel, (most people do know where that is though) and it is near to the convenient store (7-11), as most shops close early, you can opt to have some late night supper there (Sandwiches on Wednesdays are on discount, for $2 only), and there are bars at the back lane of the hotel, so if you prefer beers, you can go there too~ You can request to change for a new towel at your fourth night there, and on the seventh night, you can request to change for a new bed sheet~ Oh and there's kitchen and laundry room at the rooftop.. so go there and have great nightview! I love this hotel and if I ever go back to Melbourne, I will definitely come back!"

"We stayed at the Oaks on Market for 2 nights. We arrived at 8.30am and the staff were very friendly and more than happy to store our bags whilst we went out for the day. Half way through the day I returned to the hotel with another bag we had bought. The staff engaged in pleasant conversation about shopping & having fun. They were more than happy to add an extra bag to our stored luggage- no problem. When we finally arrived back at the hotel after a big day we went to our room which was big. It had a kitchen, small living area and comfortable bed. Our 2 day stay was fantastic as we were close to federation square, shopping centres and the river. There were lots of restaurants near by to choose from. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The location of this hotel make an easy access to everywhere. Tram station is only opposite of this hotel and you can reach Flinder St. Station by few minutes walking. This hotel is ideal for young people like us. We just walk to Eureka Skydek, Yarra River and Federation Square. To find halal food is also got no problem by walking. We rented a car there and easy to find parking in CBD plus during night until early morning parking is free and most importantly it is safe. This hotel also provide a pantry for you to prepare you own food. Like us, we cooked instant noodles, toast bread and hot drinks before bed since most halal restaurant close early at 9:00 PM! Overall,we enjoyed our stay at iBis and most important its cheap!cheap!cheap!"

"This was my second stay at the Citigate Hotel in Melbourne. Once again, I was very happy with the hotel overall. The reservation staff were friendly and helpful and the concierge was particularly helpful. The hotel is a great location very near to Federation Square and just across the street from the train station. The free tourist tram is just 1 minute walk from the hotel. There are good choices for restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. Whenever I visit Melbourne in the future I will certainly pick Citigate Hotel to stay. I will rate the food/dining as 3 because I did not use the food service."

"We loved 167 Hotel Melbourne! A friend and I were heading to Melbourne for a girls weekend & were so please with the staff on arrival offering us a wine when we checked in & free tea/coffee/water during our stay. The staff were helpful in helping us find our way out to Prahran & the best options for price! Rooms were clean & nicely styled the only thing we would have liked as friends going on a trip was a door on the bathroom (there was a door on the shower & toilet) otherwise this would have been fine for couples/family trips. Great location walking distance to crown which was great! "

"Our first trip away in 4 years. The staff were pleasant, friendly, helpful and strong on local knowledge. I asked about a Chinese restaurant that was cheap, easy walking distance with great food. We were told China Bar, it was perfect and exactly as we had asked. We had arranged to meet my oldest son and the staff gave us cards that enabled us to visit each other in our rooms on different floors rather than meet in the lobby all the time. Our only drawback and that is minor is that our windows looked out on a building site. Obviously it will be finished the next time we back in Melbourne. "
