it was perfect. my dad and i love the hotel features and the friendliness of the people. they are very helpful and nice even the cleaning ladies, except the waitress in the triple three. maybe because they are not speaking english well. but in the overall, it was an excellent hotel experience. we are glad that we moved from fort canning lodge because of the horrible service (asked for executive but get standard room and even after we complained they did not change it to the one they posted in agoda).

We are so happy that we chose to spend 5 night a brand new Yotel. *The staff- Very polite caring and helpful. (the best staff we ever had in a hotel) They helped us with planning, adjusted for us the menu to our vegan twists, even cheak and printed for us information about an event in the city! *The location - Perfect location very close to ION mall and MRT station. we mostly used buses. it is nicer to see the city this way (bus stop is even closer and located in front of Thailand embassy) we also liked the hotel located on the beginning of Orchard street. it is very easy to take a bus to see all the street. Since it's a one way street you can get out each time in the stop you like. * The room - small as most rooms in Singapore hotels but designed very smart and functional! we felt like in a space-ship with cool view on the city skyline. * facilities - 10th floor is Amazing! the gym is very good and new! The restaurant is amazing with very good prices. We got a 50% discount for breakfast for choosing to eat only fruits and veges in the morning :) kitchen is open till 22:30 and we used to get nice evening vegan fruit and veges salad that was adjusted for us! After booking at the last minute and staying a single night by myself on a business trip, I would highly recommend this hotel for not just business travellers, but families and all vacationers. It's a large international hotel with more than adequate rooms that are spotless. Being just a 5 minute walk away from Orchard Road it is in an excellent location, near food, shopping, Fort Canning Park, taxis and the subway stations. Room service was quick, the food reasonably priced - I wished I had tried the large restaurant on the ground floor... which was so busy. A little expensive, to be expected ofcourse but you get what you pay for! A well-run hotel with staff that will go out of their way to help you. I would certainly stay here on my next visit to Singapore.

Room is clean, bit small to move around and shower system needs improvement. Location is great. It is convenient to travel around within Orchard and Bugis area. MRT is within walking distance and there are shopping malls around the hotel. No parking available at the hotel, but guest can park at Hotel Chancellor. The hotel will charge $10 per day (11am to 11pm). Overall good experience staying here.

I had stayed many times at Concorde when it formally a Meridien Hotel. The major reason for choosing this location was it was easy for me to go to Fort Canning for a concert I was attending. Walking back in a inebriated was possible ! From my wife's point of view she just needed to step out and the Orchard road malls were just there. The hotel has completed there direct access to Orchard escalator but not yet opened because of safety check. This will be added bonus. Breakfast range was good but not great considering I was paying USD 250 per day. Will I stay there again , probably if I need to on Orchard Road.

i choose this hotel mainly because its location – nearby orchid road and close to mrt station. just 5 minutes by walk you can arrive at ion and ngee ann city. for the ones who like to go shopping, i doubt there’s better option with lower price. just across the street you can find a food court in far east plaza, where you can find various choice of food which provides you an economical choice if you do not want to spend too much in a fancy restaurant every night. moreover, i find its service is one of best among all the hotels i had even been in 20 countries. i am not just talking about free mini bar – although it helps as well – the most impressive thing is how touching the staff could be, especially the ones rom concierge. i definitely would choose royal plaza on scotts again if the budget allows; after all, their service is something you can hardly find in any other hotel in the world. i sincerely hope that agoda can try to make its own service close to the level of royal plaza on scotts, and maybe agoda should send someone over there to benchmark it. in terms of hardware, it is not the best hotel in town; for example, i would prefer the hotels with better swimming pool and gym. nonetheless, i truthfully thank all the hotel staff for giving me a unique experience in staying here.

We chose Goodwood Park Hotel for our wedding reception (at Min Jiang Restaurant), primarily due to the quality of food and nice al fresco ambience. We booked a number of poolside suite rooms for friends and family, and the rooms were just across the restaurant, which was perfect! Staff were very attentive and accommodating, and overall, provided a high and consistent level of service. Goodwood Park Hotel was a perfect choice for the occasion, also because of its central location and was easy for many of our overseas guests to access. Although being right smack in the city, the hotel is perched on a small hill/slope and hence provided a very nice environment to relax in... you hardly feel that you are in the city! The heritage features of the hotel are beautiful and gives it a unique feel, unlike other sleek city hotels. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! One area to improve cld be the access to wifi (I kept losing connection...).

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

The service was great, the staff is more than keen yo help you. The hotel as well is beautiful. We stayed at the executive studio and even that we found it exclusively luxurious. The location is the best part. The hotel has linked bridge yo the paragon mall, than just a few metres from the mall you can access the orchard mrt station. The hotel provide you with a handphone which is so handy and you can bring it anywhere, just making sure to return back before checking out.

me, my sisters and brother (all four of us are young adults) had a great time at orchard hotel (3 days 2 nights) though we really didn't stay that much long inside our hotel rooms because we were always out and about exploring singapore. the fact that we were tired by the end of the day, it was very relaxing to come home to a nice hotel room, with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. it's also worth mentioning that our 2 rooms (both superior) were upgraded for free to deluxe rooms because the other superior room wasn't ready according to the frontdesk personnel when we checked-in (around 2pm). also, we requested for connecting rooms, and they gladly gave in to our request. we also have free wifi for both rooms. one downside i can think of is the size of the deluxe room. i've stayed in other 5-star hotels but orchard hotel's deluxe rooms are quite small. but then again, i really don't mind it that much because as i've said we only sleep, take a bath and leave and that's it. overall, i'm impressed by this 5-star hotel for their impeccable service and would definitely stay here again in the future.

RELC is one of two "budget" or family hotels I use in travelling through Singapore 3-4 times a year. Singapore is an expensive place, so it may seem odd to refer to roughly U$100 a night net as "cheap," but it is for Singapore. At the top of Orchard Road, its only competition in its class is the Fort canning Lodge (YWCA). I recommend it to anyone falling into what you might call the budget family category. The Shangri-La is next door, so you can always go there for representative meeting areas, etc. should you need them. Families may appreciate especially the 10th floor laundromat. My only real criticism would be of the breakfast, for which reason I normally just get the RELC room and take breakfast on Orchard Road in a close Starbucks or McDonalds.

My second time staying in Novotel. New hotel, near Orchard road, but away from the bustling of Orchard crowd. A few not so positive things to note : 1. I didn’t not request for an extra bed, but when I got to my room, there was an extra bed inside. I had booked the room for one pax only. 2. For a relatively new hotel, the drainage system is not very well maintained, shower room floods every time i used it 3. Lacking basic toiletries in shower cap, soap dish. 4. Aircon system of Food Exchange not maintained. Water dripping from ceiling, and heavy water marks can be seen around the aircon vent. 5. The hotel could have provided more information on shuttle bus service from T Galleria back to hotel, give the location of the pick up point at T Galleria. Other than that, it’s a cosy place, friendly staff, clean environment.

The room had everything we needed. It was spacious. The bathroom in the master bedroom was a little bit small for me and my parents. I had to stay in the master bedroom because there were only 2 single beds in the 2nd room. This is good for 4 persons at best unless the 5th person is willing to sleep in the sofa or, like me, in the master bedroom. They had an assortment of food in the kitchen. It was in a basket. Really useful as we ate some of it. There is no cleaning service on Sunday and they change beddings only every other day. Overall though, everything was in top shape, service was great. The place is super clean! The view from our hotel room was nice! The bus stop was a bit of a walk though. We took a taxi everytime we had to go out which, when added together, got expensive in the end.

My kid n I late check-in at evening. Room was ready. 2 older male staffs were at the counter. For those people who said the staffs are rude pls touch your heart & ask yourself. I mean things goes both ways. If you are friendly & courteous you get the same treatment back. Dont be yaya papaya & expect that you are some big shot checking in. The hotel uses the older c/in method with paper files & stuffs. So be patient & wait. It may seems slow. Dosent kill you to wait a few mere minutes right?! There are 2 lifts. Older versions tiny lifts that is really cute if you ask me. My kid was in awe seeing such a lift in his lifetime. When we entered the room, it was clean & neat. Towels & Blankets & Bedsheets are Not Rags as other reviews claimed to be. Aircon & Mini fridge is working great. Hot Cold Shower is good too. AND THEY DO PROVIDE 2 SHOWER CAPS & 2 SETS OF TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE. I dont understand why people claim there isnt any. But I have just a tiny wish that the main room light could be alittle brighter. Location is almost the best you can get for $100 a night in Orchard Road. Breakfast is Toast, Juice & Coffee. If you have travelled far & wide you should know it is as good as it can get. Some hotels such as H81 or similar don't even serve you any breakfast with almost the same price at some other areas. At least it does save you a meal per day & get you on your way. I feel they are rather like a hostel & i am happy with my stay. Would give it a full 3 stars for a 3 star hotel.

The hotel is still very new. I think it need more staff, since i noticed that the staff do all round job. But still I will be back to this hotel since I like the service and the room. Most taxi driver in SG still dont know the hotel, so I always said Grand Park hotel, and going to the back side of Grand Park hotel. Once i were taken to the other hotel Holiday Inn Orchard, and it made me confused.

It was my first time travelling out of country so I made sure I'd get the best hotel with cheaper price, and so I decided to book with Agoda. Checking in was fast. I spent not longer than 5 minutes and we were good to go in to our room. Check in should be at 2pm but we were made to check in an hour earlier since the room was ready when we got there. The hotel us quite far from famous tourist attractions but there is a bus stop just across the hotel in front of Raffles Girls School. Also, you can take taxi just in front of the hotel entrance, or take a Grab ride. Rooms were quite small but really clean. If you are a tourist and you spend most of your time outside, you wouldn't really mind the room size. I had a great time staying there. If I go back to Singapore, I would choose to stay here again.

i loved this hotel and only wished i had more time to spend in the hotel and/or were staying longer. the location is gorgeous. it's smack in the middle of fort canning park -- an oasis of peace in the heart of singapore and a much more interesting and historic location than on or near orchard road. the building itself was the old british administrative building so it's full of colonial grandeur, but it's been beautifully modernized updated so now it has state of the art technology in every room, plus a fantastically comfortable bed, the softest sheets and high style oozing from every well-designed corner, window and appliance. there is wireless internet in every room and if you don't feel like pulling out your own computer, you can surf the web/check email, etc. on the flat screen tv in your room. my bathroom, which was all glass and light with a beautiful soaking tub as well as a separate shower, had wonderful views, which were available from the bedroom as well since the bedroom/bathroom walls were glass (with electronically controlled curtains for privacy). i arrived very late and very dirty and the front desk greeted me as if i'd arrived mid-morning in a business suit and heels. try to save a little time to explore fort canning park if you can. it's a historic gem and a terrific change from business, shopping and the usual singapore activities.

the location is great! center of orchard road, very easy to go shopping and find restaurants to eat. easy access to mrt station and bus service as well. hippo tour bus stop in front of the hotel as well. room is considered big compared with other 5 stars hotel near by. very comfortable. service excellent. my daughter got a free gift every night. if you drive, you can park in front of the hotel for free as well but first come first serve basic.

Shangrila hotel really live to their name till now. This hotel is very nice hotel in anyway you want it to be, from design, room, services, gym and staffs. One of the best hotel that i ever stayed. I was here to celebrate my partner B'day so Hotel was offering to provide the Cake for us. I was so happy and thankful for the offer but as 5 stars hotel the cake that they offer really bad. Very small and plain cake. Dont have any decoration on top of the cake as well, just plain. I was shocked that how come 5 stars hotel can offer such cake to their customer? Other than the cake, everything was wonderful. :)

i stayed there with my mom for 3 nights. the check in process at 5pm was quick. we purchased breakfast package for 30sgd++ per guest and found that it is a bit expensive, but i don't think we can find a near food court opening at 7am around orchard road. the variety of breakfast is good. they provided toast, salad, dimsum, veggie and egg station. the breakfast room was quite crowded in weekend. we got the room on 8th foor facing to orchard road. it is just opposit under construction (feb2011) so it is not a great view though. my brother's room was on 17th floor facing to scott road and that was much better because they can see a little park. the room itself is very clean and toilet amenities is very nice. although we have a trouble with cold water in the bathtub, which is becoming boiling hot for the first two minutes after opening. but it is ok for us. the concierge is very helpful. overall this hotel meet hilton standard and i will stay here again.

First time trying out this hotel for my niece birthday. We had lunch in Goodwood Park hotel and checked into St Regis. The first impression was good, staff greeted u when arrived and the check in staff was nice too. The room was beauitful and the bathroom was huge and nice. We went to the pool with 2 kids and they love it. Saw the gym but dont have time to try it. Overall a 6 star standard hotel.

We are locals and decided to take a 3 night getaway, attending a wedding dinner at the hotel on the 2nd night. We drove in on a Friday 30th Sept 2011 and checked out on Monday 3rd Oct - no problem getting complimentary parking coupons from the Concierge. Our request for a non-smoking quiet room on a higher floor was granted without fuss (1018). The room was decorated with warm colours and toiletries were "L'Occitane" products. This package came with an upgrade to the Deluxe room. We were very comfortable relaxing in the room which came with a study table and large screen TV, good supply of tea bags. A big bonus was the free internet service with came with the package. Bed was great for sleeping - nice big pillows. Its a good idea to give Housekeeping a call to make up the room when you go for breakfast. They attended to that efficiently. One thing that stood out for us at the Regent was the friendliness of the staff. A far cry from a 6 Star hotel down the road which is often cold and impersonal. So the smiles and pleasant service at The Regent truly made us very welcome. - The efficiency of the breakfast staff in clearing the plates on our table was very good. Staff Lin Chang stood out in this area - very sharp and quick. The breakfast spread served the best French Toast we have ever tasted (but it rotates with waffles & pancake on diff days - the french toast was served on Sat). Unfortunately our request for the French Toast the next day could not be met. Also the baked bacon (tad salty but tender) and honey ham was very nicely done. They served japanese rice & miso soup - but it was rather strange and didnt make sense for many of the condiments and pickles to be placed at another station near the fruits. Most of us wouldnt know there were other condiments for the rice. The Regent has managed to create a warm and welcoming ambience for us - most refreshing compared to many other hotels here. Most definitely recommend this hotel.

Professional service and friendly staff. The best stay I've been to so far. Staff guided us through and to our room. They had an outdoor pantry for guests that provides us with free flow of drink machine (latte, mocha etc), a water dispenser machine as well as a vending machine for other can drinks (which is far cheaper than outside). The inn provides cookies/biscuits to each room as well. The service staff are all efficient and you don't have to wait long for them to attend to you. The skyroom is just like what you saw on their website. The room itself is very spacious and the bathtub located at the balcony overlooking the sky. The room is equipped with a smart tv (the only thing off is that the tv remote is not functional, able to watch videos and movies by the keyboard and mouse though), a unique bath robe, good toiletries with a bath exfoliating scrub inclusive. The bathroom includes rain shower that alongside would able you to walk to the outdoor balcony. Overall facade, splendid. Swimming pool is more like for one to get a dip, not like any other swimming pool but still clean and nice. Location is not so isolated; a walking distance to shopping malls and the inn is near to a stretch of eateries, convenience store and a grocery store. Extremely satisfied, would totally recommend it to family and friends, a very serene and ideal place to stay even for a staycation. Definitely will make a return stay there soon. Thumbs up!

Very friendly and welcoming staff team, every single person greeted us at all times even when we ran across them in the parking lot. We were shown around the property when we arrived and got to see all facilities. Breakfast was nice, always refilled with fresh fruit, toast etc. Free coffee 24 hours from machine in lobby. Nice gym area, open 24 hours. very nice pool area with plenty of shade and free pool towels. We booked a one room apartment which was very sufficient for one week, but had of course some minor limitations, such as only one comfy chair for 2 people (plus two kitchen chairs). No electrical outlet in the bathroom, so you must blowdry your hair in livingroom with no mirror. very convenient to have our own washing machine in the bathroom. a foldable hanging rack for clothes would have been perfect to have. upon arrival, basic set of groceries is provided, very convenient. plenty of supermarkets nearby, lookout for cold storage or fairprice shops. fresh drinking water provided daily and additionally upon request by reception. no housekeeping on weekends, but we were told we could ask for fresh towels from reception those days too. Residence location is off Orchard Rd on a side street, you can cross through to Scotts Plaza Hotel lobby via carpark. Orchard MRT station must be reached via underpass through 2 malls, which can be a bit tiring at times. would come again, mostly for friendly staff and great pool area.

we stayed at the hotels for two days and we really love this hotel as it offered the best location within reach and easily found by car.Though the rooms are a bit small we found the bathroom quite spacious and clean .Furthermore the rooms are equipted with ceiling-mounted air condition offering cooling effects.The free breakfast offered by the hotel was really good and tasteful ,we recommend other people to stay next time and requested hotel to upgrade with more family rooms so that we can stay at the room more comfortably

YWCA Fort Canning Lodge is a great hotel with value-for-money price. We reserved two rooms and the front desk staff was kind enough to arrange for adjacent rooms when I missed to request it. Their location is also a good point because it is just within walking distance from Dhoby Ghaut MTR. Not only that, Orchard Road is just one street away. I like the fact that it's not in the main road because it's quiet so you can relax without hearing the noise outside. It's right in front of the Fort Canning Park and nearby is a Catholic Church. The price we paid is worth it because the staff were friendly, they have a good buffet as well with the rates. My family and I recommend this hotel for travelers esp. with kids because they have pool.

staying here just like home already due to this is not the first time we stay. it is nearby to my son's house and easy to go to other places, such as: orchard street, takashimaya, tanglin mall, holland village etc. although the mrt station is quiet far need to go to orchard first however this time we didnot get the room with best view - to see the street during new years eve; pity only get parking spot building view so i closed the curtain all the time a- actually hotel may save it better by put trees outside the whotel window. im sure there are many kinds of indoor trees or atleast the hotel management may hang some banner or bamboo ccurtain to give extra feeling of vacation out of dirty and exhausted parking space building. the restaurant is good, the cuisine i like with dimsum however they are not open for breakfast only by 11.30am - so we went to other place which open earlier. it could be better this restaurant opens earlier such as: 10.30 so we can have brunch with family or guests. one suggestion to agoda: it is better to include breakfast in the room price and or some other welcoming service from the hotel; like any other international hotel when welcoming the guests.
